Typical UGA crap. If you don't come to our camps we ain't goin to recruit ya. I HATE what UGA has become. Players to NFL, sure. Winning college football games, auhh who cares! I tell ya one thing! if I was the UGA coach the kid would already be in the puppy pin. No ifs, ands or buts. But I am biased because I'm from this great state and I believe we happen to have great players hear.

First of all, Brady was a 6th round draft pick, not second. Also, the scouts better be there to watch tonight because it will be their last chance to see him play this year. Go Pack!

If none of the other Lassiter players have gotten serious looks and their quarterback is just getting some large offers, then is their league not respected by the BCS schools. I don't understand the lack of interest.

AMG-

You must be that Florida fan that keeps trying to make Cox look bad on these blogs. Cox QB skills stink? Heard of Brady, Marino, Montana? Marino threw a lot more picks than Cox, I guess he ain't all that either. The Brady, Marino, Montana trio ain't TOO bad according to most NORMAL sports fans. He beat em' all hosehead. Take your JR. HIGH SCHOOL SPIN ZONE skills back to Florida, they're gonna need em' next year when Tebow's gone.

I like Georgia. Hey, Richt haters, all I know is I'm rich. I just did something no rookie QB has done since 1936. I threw 5 TD's in one game. Ok, time to drive to the stadium. Hmmm, which of my 15 cars should I pick today? Let's go with the blue Porsche today to match my ballcap. Hey Tebow, I hear the NFL don't want your High School Offense QB skills. If you want to run one of the 27 pizza franchises I own, give me a ring. We're looking for a guy that is fast, and can deliver in 30 minutes or less.

P.S. Tebow, what were you thinking heading to Florida? I told you at the All-Star game to go to Georgia. Me, $50 million, could have been you man.

"What it comes down to is who wants you the most and where you feel the most comfortable." This says it all - No interest in getting a quality education or preparing yourself for life after football. He's not the type layer Tech would be interested - definitely does not have the mobility needed at the QB position here - and he is not interested in Tech's offensive scheme. So this isn't sour grapes about Tech not being in the mix but just an observation that neither he nor those who advise him are mature enough to think about what will take him through the rest of his life when he can't perform any longer on the field. His decision should be made with more criteria than "who wants me most".

I have seen this kid play twice this season, both against quality opponents. He has no problem with arm strength. You should remember that his big numbers in the playoffs have been in three quarters since the second and third teams played in the fourth.
I have never seen a HS offense like this one.

Watched Hutson completely shred apart the North Forsyth Raiders a couple of weeks ago. I was very impressed at how accurate he was with the deep ball. His receivers dropped several that hit them dead square in the hands.

He struggled during the first 2 possessions in a 5-wide set. North was blitzing him just about every play which caused an interception and a 3-and-out series. Once they added a single back to pickup the blitz, it was all over from there. A string of TD passes followed.

And then they follow that effort with 70 points the week after. Its a good system, but the kid can play. I've never seen anything like that in HS.

YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING ME WITH ARM STRENGTH. THIS KID THROWS FOR 3,750 YARDS AND 30 TOUCHDOWN LAST YEAR AND STILL TICKING WITH OVER 4,200 YARDS PASSING AND 54 TOUCHDOWNS THIS YEAR. HIS TEAM IS 12-0 AND IN THE QUARTER-FINAL.THE COACHES FROM GEORGIA AND THEIR RECRUITING PROCESS IS THE MAIN REASON THEY ARE 6-5 NOW. THEY LOOK FOR TALENT NOT WINNERS. THEY LOOK FOR TALENT NOT HEART IN A PLAYER.THEY LOOK FOR STARS NOT A PLAYER THAT CAN GET THE JOB DONE. THEY LOOK SIZE AND HEIGHT NOT WISDOM. YOU GEORGIA COACHES AND FAN ARE A TRIP. I GUESS IF THIS KID LIVED IN SOUTH FLORIDA OR TEXAS OR NORTH CAROLINA MARK RICHT WOULD BE IN HIS JOCK BUT SINCE HE DON'T YOU HAVE TO HAVE A EXCUSE FOR NOT OFFERING HIM YET.

WHAT HE DON'T HAVE THE ARM STRENGTH TO THROW INTERCEPTIONS. THATS WHY GEORGIA IS 6-5 NOW THEY RATHER HAVE A GUY THAT CAN THROW 100 MPH. THAN A GUY THAT CAN GET THE JOB DONE.WHO CARES ABOUT ARM STRENGTH, HELL THE QUARTERBACK YOU HAVE NOW CAN THROW A BULLET TO THE OTHER TEAM GEORGIA. HE FORCES ALOT OF THROWS BECAUSE OF ARM STRENGTH. I RATHER HAVE A QUARTERBACK LIKE DREW BREES AND CHAD PENNINGTON THAN JAY CUTLER ANYDAY. NOW I KNOW YOU NEED ARM STRENGTH AT GEORGIA BECAUSE OF THEM LITTLE LEAGUE AND HIGH SCHOOL PLAYS THAT GEORGIA CALLS. HUTSON MATSON OF LASSITER HIGH SCHOOL IS THE BEST QUARTERBACK IN THE NATION. THE GUY IS A WINNER AND I RATHER HAVE A WINNER THAN A STRONG ARM GUY THAT THROWS INTERCEPTION THAT COST ME THE GAME.

Hutson has no issues with arm strength. He can make all the throws and has a strong arm. He throws with touch and amazing accuracy. He does not try to gun the ball unless it is called for. He is calm and cool under pressure. He has played AAU basketball for the atlanta celtics and traveled all over the country playing in pressure packed games which is why he can play so well under fire. He is what most coaches call a "gamer" The folks that say or "repeat" he has an issue with arm strength either have never seen him or just have a negative agenda. The kid has been and is the real deal. He competes at an unbelievable level. I've seen a large number of QB's over the last 35 years in GA and the south and he is as good as most if not better. Many played for SEC or ACC teams. Hutson is a diamond in the rough for most BCS teams that are looking for a great QB. He can go under center and he has the foot work to do the 3 step, 5 step and the 7 step drop. A great kid that has all the intangibles to go with all the talent. He is focused on the playoffs and leading Lassiter to a state championship,. Just watching all teh records drop is a great story. I had stated befor that coach Bobo had indicated to Hutson that he could play for UGA and they would be watching closley. They have numbers issues with QB's so he was honest with Hutson that GA would be evaluating based on all the specifics of their season and Hutson's season. UGA may have waited to late but I believe he will wait until the season is complete to really start looking hard at recruiting.. I'm sure he would trade most of his records for a state championship. Go Trojans!

jhjh: Actually Hutson just told me that in a text a few minutes ago, so you're all over it! He said at the outset he was pretty sure UVA and MSU were going to step to the plate this week. This will probably open up a lot of opportunities for him!

I have been watching UGA Football since 1965 and bleed Red and Black...I have been watching Hutson for three years and this kid is amazing. Great accuracy, does not fold under pressure etc etc and I understand his preference would be UGA...we need a UGA Coach at Lassiter Fri night...Richt or Bobo would be great...how can we not gamble on Hutson if we want to keep kids in State...no gurantee any of our QB's in waiting will be better than Cox..don't let him out of North Ga!

Mason might not be 40 yard dash fast, but he has tremendous pocket awareness and nimble footwork which allows him to keep a play alive...while always keeping his eyes downfield looking for an open receiver. When teams blitz he's able to get off the quick outlet pass. When teams start looking for the short pass he has gone downfield effectively, which helps to spread the whole field out for later attempts. He's been able hit receivers in stride and in open space so that they can advance the ball downfield. I'd love to see FSU pick him up, and understand that they finally have him on their radar. Colquitt County is an excellent team with a good defense, it should be a great game Friday Night. Go Trojans!

Those that say he doesn't have a strong arm obviously have not seen him play. I've seen him roll out several times and fire the ball 50 yards on the bootleg. He could be the spark to take Mississippi State to the next level or he could go to one of the traditional powerhouses and wait his turn. I really hope he decides to go somewhere like MSU and turns the place around.

As for UGAg offering him, I hope not. As a Lassiter alum, I hate to see one of my own get ruined by that mess of a coaching staff that you have down there. Richt is an awful coach.

Hudson reminds me of Danny Wuerffel. He is great at reading the defense, and throwing on target to the open man. He get's himself out of trouble when the rush is on, and get's rid of the ball instead of taking a sack. Something like 55 TD's and 5 INT's!. Not sure he can throw an long cross field out vs. SEC corners...but if he can..he will win at the next level too.

Good luck Trojans. Win State!

For any of you that think Hutson cant throw the long ball just go to 11 alive site and watch a few of the football friday videos of him. You will see that if there is a downfall in his game this is not it. Also needs noted that so far (and I have seen every game) the defenses seem to feel that the only way to stop them is to pressure hutson. This theory has failed 12 times now due to his ability to his read the defense get rid of the ball to short route recievers so well. When given time though be will burn you long.
