For you who try to trash a high school player. The kid is smart-he is able to enroll at GT in January, second he knows what he wants and three he was able to commit to GT in a largely Bulldog country. Those of you who believe the kid was not given a offer by Ga, does it matter? The kid will be getting a quality education at a fine institution. Oh by the way, just because a kid is from a small town in Georgia, not metro Atlanta, does not make him unworthy of consideration than anyone else.

Tech Pride, you might also add that Tech has won more conference championships in its history than UGAG has in its history, and that includes the years that Tech and UGAG were in the same conference (SAIA, Southern, and SEC). And to whoever it was who claimed that UGAG has 2 consensus national championships, you need to do some research. The NCAA only recognizes the 1980 championship, no others, and it was consensus. Where did you find a second consensus one? Tech’s 1917 championship was consensus, so once again you are wrong. But what’s the big deal about consensus championships anyway? Tech’s shared 1990 championship is not the only shared championship in history; Bama, USC, LSU, and quite a few others also have shared championships, ALL OF WHICH ARE RECOGNIZED by the NCAA.

The 4th quarter of the UGA/Kentucy game was the WORST quarter of football I have ever seen UGA play and I have been watching them for over 40 years. Four turnovers in ONE quarter ….. and Joe Cox just set a record for the most interceptions ever by a UGA QB and he managed to do that in one year. It wasn’t totally his fault – the o-line got thier butts handed to them. You can’t blame this one on the defense.

Wow, this “rivalry” is worse than I thought. Did somebody just say that Teck won the first UGA-Teck game in 1893? Wow. Way to live in the past. I saw Bostic and Holton play last night. Bostic is lightening quick but small. I can’t imagine him not playing offense. He can really go with the ball in his hands. Holton looks like a safety and very aggressive. Holton made 2 great catches on offense.

I’m aware that Jefferson County is Bulldog country, since I have relatives down that way. But UGA was always looking up at Tech, and wishing they could catch us, prior to 1960. UGA never was much of a
program, prior to 1960, but, as my old daddy fumed, “Georgia always POINTS (gets ready) for Tech; Tech points for Notre Dame, or other powers.” So Tech-Georgia won-lost was pretty even, despite Tech’s leadership otherwise. Since 1960, due to several factors, it’s been Tech 15 wins, Georgia 34 wins. So the Dawgs enjoy their current big lead in the series. But a new day is here!

Jefferson County, approximately 15 miles southeast of Augusta, Ga. County seat-Louisville,Ga former capitol of the state. County schools consist of players mainly from the city of Wrens (formerly Wrens High School) and Louisville (formerly Louisville High), now a county school. JC will has averaged 9 wins a year over the past 4 years and will soon be thought of as a powerhouse in the AA division. BJ is a top level athelete and would be a starter on offense or defense on any division I ballclub……They also have a stable of running backs and receivers that don’t get alot of attention….

Yeah, and he’ll have no chance of playing in the NFL being in the sub-par ACC and all. Tech players aren’t allowed at the combines. And a degree from Tech won’t get him anywhere either if the NFL doesn’t pan out. How could he have made such a huge mistake?

Hey guys, obvious Bama fan here but also an admirer of CPJ. Like most Bama fans I am so glad that CPJ decided to stay at GT last year when Auburn tried to lure him away. Also like many Bama fans CPJ would have been my choice to be Bama’s coach had CNS not entered the picture. Anyway, dawg fans must be throwing up their breakfast reading a story like this. When Ga. loses their recruiting dominance in south Ga. they are in big trouble as Saban and Kiffin are already taking presumed Ga. recruits from the ATL area. Best of luck until you play Bama.

Barry is a great athlete and student. He is great team leader and representative for our community. Big Bulldog fan, but Bulldogs are a bit slow on recruiting great players. As much as I would like to see Barry play at Georgia, he is a man of his word. Good luck to Barry as he heads to college.

It’s too bad Bostic will go to GT and NOT play in the major leagues (SEC.) Instead he can play in the ACC before non-sellout crowds at Miami, Maryland and Virginia, and “throngs” of 30,000 at Wake Forest and 25,000 at Duke.
