I don't think anyone in the SEC, who knows anything about recruits, discounts UGA's ability to recruit. What is obvious to me, at least, is that (lately) they seem to do as little with them, once they get them, as anyone in the top ten of the recruiting classes.....-an observer from across the state line.

ADVANCED HOME SECURITY

November 15th, 2009
12:14 pm
Here’s something the recruits should think about. I was watching the Tennessee game on TV. Tennesse had a player that was seriously hurt and was down for sometime. I never saw Lane Kiffin come out to the field to check on or support his injured player. When I was watching the Georgia game, I saw a Georgia player go down hurt. (Just like the Tennessee injury.) I saw Mark Richt right there with him. I know which coach I would rather play for!

As a Georgia fan that grew up the next county over from Hershel at the same time and same age,I knew of a time when Georgia beat FLORIDA every year almost and it was a given that the water fountain in Jacksonville ran red for a year most all the time ..Florida was a JOKE..we need to do one thing and thats to get all of our talent that leaves Georgia to go to the likes of Auburn SC LSU FLORIDA and the rest of the SEC to combine the best right here again and you would see a different story between the Florida Georgia game. The true Floridians all live around Gainesville with about three teeth in their head and they do live in a swamp..cant kill a deer in Florida so they all have to come to Georgia to get us men to show em how its done..The reason they cant is most are major pot heads and are too stoned to shoot a cow much less a deer..UGA need's to recruit more from the South part of Georgia..South Georgia wins state almost every year in high school and most of the best talent of yesteryear came from here..Richt goes right past us into Florida these days. When he UGA comes back to this treasure of talent of BLOOD n GUTS kinda players Georgia will be on top again..WE are the closest to the Florida border and HATE THEM WITH A FRIGGIN PASSION ...NEED I SAY MORE?????????

Trust me the recruits know when the blogger is an opposing team supporter trying to sound like a Dog Fan. They know how loyal the True Dog Fan are. We know we have a good thing going at Georgia. Hope they win tonight. Joe Cox has done his best and we all appreciate his effort. Good job. Next year the quarterback situation will be different and we are all excited about upcoming players. The up-coming recruits are really looking forward to playing together. It seems there is a tight bond between this group and that is especially good for the future. There is something special about playing got Georgia and being a Bulldog. Coach mark Richt will make the necessary changes and we all know that. Go Dogs

BigMike,
sorry bud, but assuming you are being truthfull about playing in the big 10; that is not REAL football. It is the most boring football in the country. A bunch of guys that are slow and fat-ankled. Although, if you play college football, you have a be a good athlete. It's just different in the SEC, Big 12, and now even the ACC.

Its funny how all of you Georgia fans talk about Kiffin. The bottom line is Jackson (an LSU commit) and Richardson (florida commit) both switched on signing days. These could have just as easily happened in Gainesville or Baton Rouge. I would also mentioned all of these guys were also recruited by Georgia, Alabama, Florida St, and just about any other major school.

The bottom line is TN, FL, UGA, Alabama, SC, etc have ALL had plenty of arrests in the last few years and probably will continue. Its the sad nature of the business...

I think I smell fear of Kiffin more than anything else.

P. S. Jeff Luc will be a Vol...

"A staggering number of prospects will converge on Athens and Sanford Stadium this weekend as Georgia plays host to Auburn."

Is that staggering like a staggering collapse in the season. Come on boy's, sign on up.

I'm for CMR bringing back Van Gorder to run the defense. I've never seen anyone make the proper adjustments at halftime at any level than he did.

The down year is almost over, with alittle luck we might run the table, but regardless of the outcome of our last 3 games we are not going to be hurting in the recruiting department. CMR will put things back together as they should be for 2010 and all will be well. Mabe not a mnc in 10 Murray has to get his legs under him . But after he does all hell is going to break loose......... GO DOGS!!!!!!!!!

Flo-Ri-Duh! - Just because no stud DE's are coming to town this weekend, doesn;t mean we aren't getting any. 5 of our committments for 2010 are DE's and all are pretty highly ranked.

jdawg - An Auburn fan calling a Georgia fan an inbred? Hilarious. Almost as hilarious as an Auburn fan talking about Georgia's an base being made up of people who didn't go to Georgia. If all of the Auburn fans I see are either grads or students, then the quality of education at "Abrin" must be weak. Then again, Auburn, unlike Georgia, did come dangerously close to losing their accreditation a few years back.

I don't see any super star DE's on that list of recruits coming to Georgia this weekend, but they will take LB Luck and DB Joyner and RB Lattimore to close out their class.. Then they need to recruit a defensive coordinator (Kirby Smart) to coach them up.

Jdawg: Unfortunately, yes, one represents the many...at least that's what the rest of the nation saw. In fact, Fowler, Herbstreit, and Corso REMINDED the nation of what LOSER fans you were by retelling the tale in a Gameday episode that season. My guess is that you will also regress once the Dawgs lay the smack down on your beloved Tigers this weekend, and collectively AU nation will be calling for Chizik's head. That was a shame, and I didnt see many media outlets showing any AU fans in disgust of what had taken place.

And the only reason why I lay down my rambunctious opinions in these stupid blogs is b/c of the UGA fever that runs deep in my blood...the only type of fever that could come about as a graduate of the University, something you redneck AU fans would know nothing about.

Sorry to say TOPH but UGA isn't in Jeff Luc's top 5. He's coming to Florida most likely. Matt Elam is definately coming to Florida so take care of him up there.

SimpleDawg, please read the response given to the Gopher. Losing the #1 overall pick in the draft, the #1 RB in the draft and a very good CB early from that same class has sort of taken its toll in 2009. You can blame the coaches for not having another QB or RB waiting in the wings from the same or a different class if you like, but keep in mind that EVERYONE wanted Caleb King, and the 2 QBs (Cox and Gray) were both highly rated. Sometimes everyone is wrong about guys.
