Auburn has produced more impact NFL running backs than UGA. There really isn’t any comparison. Only a UGA homer would disagree. Auburn will show a couple of them off this weekend in Athens (our home away from home), you should come by and check it out. WDE

Wow. This is entertaining. If you read all these posts, you’d think Auburn and Georgia had two of the greatest football programs in the history of mankind. Truth is, until I saw the announcement of this weekend’s upcoming game, I’d forgotten that Auburn still played football. What d’ya know? Should be interesting. If you enjoyed the USFL. Personally, I prefer watching SEC football, which neither of these teams is currently playing.

Not sure Auburn should claim Brooks. I seem to recall him telling an Ohio judge he couldn’t get a job because he doesn’t know how to read? This after spending 4 years on the plains. Did he go to jail for failure to pay his child support. Sad thing is he attended Warner Robins High in Georgia too so both states share blame.

To Larry and your comparison of AU vs. UGA backs,

You seem to have a selective Memory,

Starting Backwards with Carnell Williams and Ronnie Brown,

Don’t forget about Hmmmm, Stephen Davis, or how about Hmmmm Rudi Johnson, and Hmmmm Brandon Jacobs. I think those guys are quit respected in the NFL. Hey, there is also a fullback named Heath Evans that has more Super Bowl Rings than 90% of the guys in the NFL. Tony Richardson has had one of the longest careers in the NFL and has a couple of Rings.

I’m just getting started. All of the guys I just named have ACTUALLY PRODUCED in the NFL.

Hey, now I can add names like Bo Jackson, Joe Cribbs, and even Lionel James who produced quit well in his niche with San Dieago.

Only 2, and possibly a 3rd in the near future, have even produced in the NFL.

I haven’t even thrown in the stable of backs Auburn has produced that equal your top list, like Bostic, Irons, Joseph, Beasley, etc.

Man, don’t forget Andrews, Brooks and Cribbs.

Also don’t forget Brent Fullwood who had more yards per carry than Bo Jackson and also had a Stephen Davis type career in the NFL in his day.

Don’t talk about what you do not know about. Your lack of judgement of talent is typical of UGA and how you guys wonder why things slide when they do or when your team doesn’t reach its expectations.

Great for Auburn, but check their History, they’ve had as many as three pro backs on the team at one time and couldn’t win anything. They have always, and will always be in the shadow of U of A. There are a lot of top 20 teams around Auburn, so let’s hope there was no hanky panky involved in getting him to come there.
