It is funny to me how the gtu fans have replaced scu fans as the most delusional in college football. I must admit that scu has had more success against UGA during the last 18 years (with out cheating as per the NCAA) than has gtu. I really don’t hate tech, it goes much deeper than that.

I’ll take 3 and 4 star players that will play as a TEAM over 5 star players that are only worried about themselves. One thing about CPJ is he is recruiting in GEORGIA and that means the UGA game will mean something again to GT players. To all the WHINEING UGA fans I am sorry yall can’t win the big games with your 5 star players.

Hey, Techsters. You do realize the All American game your recruits are playing in is the #3 All american game – you know the ones the psuedo all ameriican 3 star players play in. How many do you have in the 2 real All American games? Hmmm. And as far as winning the “in state” battle, you do realize that ourin state recruits are still higher ranked than the ones you have. So not exactly winning the battle there either. And when you say players have to be smart to get into Tech, are you talking Reggie Ball smart or Joe Hamilton smart? LOL. And when you say the players must be smart enough to pass 2 semesters of Calculus, you mean either that or least big enough to bully some child prodigy to take their tests for them. Keep it real, Techsters. At least do your homework before coming on here and talking smack. If you can’t do that, then stick to what you know which is Math and Science. And I say all this knowing full well you beat us last year and will probably do so this year too. Go Dawgs!!!

I’ve been a Tech fan for forty years but I still hope for the best for UGA. It’s been a great rivalary for the most part. Just glad Tech fans have some bragging rights for a change. It’s been a long time coming. I do believe we’ll get by Duke but the UGA game has me worried. They have one of the best wide outs in the country and their other receivers are pretty darn good as well. As bad as our linebackers and DB’s cover people this is either going to be a high scoring game or UGA is going to win. Also lets not forget about their kick return game. One of the best, and a very big weak spot on our team. I think it’s going to be a very exciting game. GOOOOOOOO Tech!

Tha key is coaching… with the right coaching a 2 star or 3 star player can develop… the lack thereof (coaching) is why UGAG is playing as they do now… otherwise, the 4 star player you got as a freshman doesn’t become any better so your team is 4-3… wat is UGA’s record now? I stopped watching after the loss the LSU game….

Winning ball games and being ranked in the top ten is how your persuade athletes to come to your school. Now the academics are tough at Tech; compared to a B.A. is Trailer Park Management or a B.S. in Hawg Farming like they offer east of Atlanta. We have to recruit Athletes that can pass two semesters of Calculus. That other school recruits players that can do nothing more than write their names; with a Crayon.

atl-xmen, I suggest that you take a look at a culmination of the 2 year’s worth of recruiting classes before you start making disparaging comments about Paul Johnson’s. Last season, he went after QB’s offensive linemen, RB’s, and WR’s. This season, Paul’s concentrating on defense. He felt like he needed to get his “kind of guys” started in the offensive pipeline as quickly as possible, and that’s why he concentrated on offense his first year of recruiting.

Coach Johnson also realized that he would be losing several key defensive players so he has been concentrating on recruiting defensive players this season. This isn’t rocket science. But if you take a quick peek, he also plucked a few plums from each side of the aisle both recruiting seasons as well, like Charles Perkins, and Synjyn Days this season when Paul is concentrating mainly on defense, and last season, when he snatched up Julian Burnett and Rod Sweeting when he was going mainly after offensive players.

xmen, Tech is loading up on defense this year because we have to. Perkins out of Collins Hill might very well be upgraded to a four star when the new ranking come out. The rest of the class is defense an offensive linemen.

I hate UGAG, but the only reason Spikes’ helmet came off was because he was too stupid to buckle it up. He never snapped the bottom-right strap until the second time his helmet was knocked off.

what was said that pj wont be able to recruit the offensive players needed to win 9-10 games a year at this level. notice that they all three play defense..that ath/qb crap means that guy plays defense as well as qb for team without a real good qb….chime in when you see a 4-star running back joining tech..or a receiver for that matter

Based on what all of the “experts” have been saying there is no way Georgia Tech will be able to recruit anybody under Paul Johnson. So how is it that 3 Tech recruits are playing in an all star game.

Georgia Tech is rolling and will do the same over Wake on Saturday. Paul Johnson will have the troops ready to play again despite those nagging injuries.
