@JLC Thanks for the good advice. GT has a good basketball program and we would be smart to listen. Clearly that is the way that 5-star recruits think and really who can blame them these days.

…thanks for the kudos – however, unfortunately, that run to the Elite 8 was an aberation. Sure, Davidson does get to the “dance’ every couple of years (they could not follow up the 2008 run in 2009 and missed the “dance” since they did not win the conference tourney – in spite of a 20+ win season and having the best record going into the conf. tourney), but the overall strength of the conference is not really all that much.

if this dude is even ranked in the espn 150 give him some credit. think about how many schools there are how many teams and players. there are thousands of Seniors playing basketball and if hes in the top 150 id be happy.

Hold up Bryan G., did you just put the Southern Conference in the same category as the Big Sky and the Ivy League? I am not saying the Southern Conference is a stellar one, but I am pretty sure if you have watched any college basketball in the past few years you would know Davidson is in the Southern Conference, who made a run to the Elite Eight a couple years ago…

I love the Dawgs but over the years, poor play year after year has caused me to adjust my goals to the following:

1-to at least split 4 specific games..The three against the other SEC bottom feeders (Aub and SC), plus Tech..after that any win is gravy.

2-if we are gonna suck, at least lose in the SEC Tourney early so I wont be distracted from spring practice.

With Coach Fox things are gonna be different, I can just feel it..heck, we might beat SC twice this yr, or beat Tennessee for once. Maybe.

As a GT fan let me give ya’ll some encouraging advice that is gained from experience…since he is listed as only a 3 star recruit, that usually translates to a good player that will stay at school for 3-4 years. 5 star recruits these days are 1 and done and it sucks..ie. Derrick Favors for us this year, Thaddeus Young, Javaris Crittenton, Chris Bosh, Stephon Marbury and so on.

This is a real good recruit. Fox will do really well given what he has to work with. What he has to work with is a SEC school that does not matter in basketball. His job is to get UGA basketball to matter in college basketball circles. Until that happens he will not get the players UK, NC, UConn & Kan get. I really believe Fox can get it done.

I would really like a breakdown of this too. I know Trey Thompkins is still around and will continue to get better. Travis Leslie, Jeremy Price and Dustin Ware show potential. Unfortunately we still have Albert Jackson at Center, who continues to not be able to do anything but stand around and foul.

I really hope Fox can turn this program around. UGA needs a great BBall program.
