The GT nation looks forward to welcoming you, Mr. McCoy. It takes a fine upstanding individual (which comes from good family up-bringing) to honor your word and not let “smoke & mirrors” and “flashy lights” (a.k.a. helicopters) distract you from your goals and commitments. I wish we could see more press about guys like McCoy but, alas, there’s no drama in being honorable and being a good student-athlete. GO JACKETS!!

No1 orangevol: Does this mean Utah is in the best conference since they dominated Bama in bowl?

I agree SEC has more teams capable of winning it all in any given year than the ACC. Clemson and VT missed their chances to prove themselves and so did GT in last years bowl. We will see in a month or so how GT stacks to 3 SEC teams. Do UF and Bama play in regular season?

I liked the old 9 team conferences where you had all teams play the same schedule. This brought a true champion. Late 90’s, UT and UF used to battle for the SEC East and whoever lost that battle had a chance at the National Title if the other failed to win the SEC Title game….that was just wrong.

Responding to BravesFan79,I guess we saw last year in the Peach Bowl how GT and the ACC did against LSU.What did you say the score was? How many National Championships has the ACC or GT for that matter since the BCS championship series began. I think most of the schools have Been SEC schools.Why is this? Because they scrimmage against better competition than they play on Saturday if they were playing an ACC school. Look at Alabama and VT this year and Clemson last year. I rest my case.

Good Grief I cant walk away for a second… CFB fanatic, the limo was an auburn gimmick (a true fanatic would know that). The Helicopter was a way to get to 5 different HS stadiums within a three hour period, gimmick, maybe, productive, definitely. Not sure about that clown car thing… maybe a childhood flashback perhaps…

HJacket you forgot one. Go to Tennessee and your coaches fly in helicopters AND you have the best shot at playing at the next level than at any other school in the country. Also a Fact. I guess it depends on where you’re headed. BTW I’m a GT fan. Heck any school that names it’s stadium after a former Tennessee Player is A1 with me.

Sorry, but can anyone here tell me why Kiffin is “not a straight shooter”? I think that he has played all the freshmen that he promised to play. I’d say thats shooting pretty straight.. Maybe the fact that he IS outworking the other head coaches makes him a tool, to you anyway. You’re probably the same guys that hated the players that actually practiced hard when you were loafing around.. that is, if you ever saw a practice field. I’m happy this kid stuck to his commitment as well but how that makes Kiffin a used car salesman has me baffled.. Jealousy is a terrible thing.

Kiffin is a clown. The gimmicks just mean the UT staff has nothing to offer in real coaching. Kiffin won’t be around long. Limos, helicopters, clown cars….how embarrassing…lol. There are some good coaches in the SEC but UT doesn’t have any except for Kiffin’s 80 year old Daddy. Their inability to coach will be revealed more and more each week.

Maybe the top two UF/Bama. LSU is so not worth their ranking and the rest are mid level at best. I agree the ACC is weak but you can’t argue the SEC is strong based on UF/Bama.

Exactly!!!! It’s coming Who is GA Tech? Facts are we are 6-1 and #12 in the BCS standings. We can only play the teams scheduled. We’ll see come November which team is better. All I can say is Tech is playing better than UGA. You guys haven’t exactly played teams that are tearing it up but neither have we, save VT. That’s why they play the games.
