UGA needs to recruit linemen for both sides of the ball and do that for two or three years running. We always seem to get the itty, bity corners and I sure hope that Nicky Robey signs with UT and we can watch him at 5′6″ grapple with 6′4″ AJ and Marvelous Marvin Brown for two or three years.

I for one, am sick of itty, bitty corners. The W Martinez continuing legacy.

This Newnan young man at 6′3 is where it is with D backs.

Chip – I believe you have some roots in Calhoun which has 5 or 6 D-1 Seniors and some impressive Jrs and Soph like the WR Palmer and the kicker. Show some love and highlight some from this outstanding team.

Mlks line is not that bad , the play calling was horrible for Mlk .Why would you run most of your plays to the heart of stephensons defense . The best back in the state never got to test stephenson outside containment or db’s. Mlk has some of the best talent in the state but u can only do what u are told to do.Raymond sanders is a good back but all of his plays built around the deception of the wing T. Mack Brown still best back in the state.

Desert Dawg: No, there is no exemption or anything Georgia would get since Benedict would be out all next season. But the Bulldogs have a longstanding reputation to stand by recruits that have gotten injured, going all the way back to Kevin Butler, who badly injured a leg his senior season at Redan High School. The good news is Benedict would likely get a sixth year of eligibility if he were to be seriously injured while at Georgia since it will be for medical reasons that he's redshirted next season.

I’m also curious to know what they will do about Benedict? I know UGA will not rescind his scholarship offer, but is there some kind of exemption they can get because he will be out all of next year and maybe the year after that?

Looks like we might have some more scholarships to offer with Robey’s commitment waivering. I agree with most and think UGA should offer Zander. He seems to be a real ball player a la Rennie Curran. UGA also needs to work hard on James now that Benedict has gone down.

I think I'm gonna have to agree with Dawg and disagree with bkbroila on Mack Brown. I thought he played like a real warrior Friday night and really got about as much of that as you could imagine. I don't know if you could tell on TV but Mike Thornton and company were blowing up that MLK line. I was critical of Mack not breaking a lot of tackles against Southwest DeKalb, too, but again, he wasn't getting much in the way of blocking against another very good defensive front. Plus, he's playing with a couple of bad hammies. Switch it around and put Mack behind that Stephenson line and I think you'd really see something.

Give Zander the offer…he is a hard nosed, 4 star recruit and he and his brother play well together…why not? If we are waiting around on Jeff Luc, we might be waiting for a whiff!!! His Treasure coast Teammate Deon Rogers is the only commit we have who has given us a “soft verbal” rather than a solid! We need all the Defensive Talent Willie Martinez can Squander!!lol
Mac Brown’s stock is dropping very fast….His junior year luster is wearing off…He can’t break tackles and he bought into Urban Meyer’s garbage…Ken Malcome is a beast

I agree with dawg lets go ahead and offer zander a scholarship we need som linebackers who want to play. There no reason to risk another Brinkley problem occuring where we only offered Jasper and not Casper and lost both of them to the Gamecocks

It’s surprising that Mack Brown did as well as he did. The O Line for MLK was out matched by the defensive front of Stephenson all night. Those boys can play some hard nosed D! Raymond Sanders seemed to be the most impresive RB on the field Friday night. UK has a real threat coming in, that is if another school doesn’t come in and offer based on Friday night’s game.
Still hoping for Thornton at UGA!
Also looks like UGA needs to offer Zander a scholarship. We will need the help when Rennie Curran leaves!
