Just look at the official visits Lattimore has lined up to figure out where he is going – Florida State. He is not going to South Carolina or Georgia and he just wants to see Oregon for fun and Penn State – no way. Florida State appears to be his most likely destination.

DeKalb Football: Aaron Wimberly had 34 yards on 10 carries against Grayson’s stout D. Not sure about Devin Scott right off but I’ll find out.

Perkins had a single A rating prior to committing to Tech. Just as soon as he committed Rivals & Scout raised the rating to 3A. I just checked & they both have him rated 3A.

Question? So what? Several years ago someone with more time than sense went over every NFL roster that year & looked back at the high school ratings for every player. A high 40%+ had ratings of 2A or less.

Whatever that says.

Hutson Mason is a good QB but I want to see him play a tough D. So far Lassiter has beaten teams that are a combined 3-13. I know it’s not fair but I want to see it against a playoff caliber team.

Pekins had 23 carries and still averaged over 10 yards per carry. The D’s know where the ball is going to be and still can’t stop him. That’s impressive.

Enter your comments here Hutson Mason of Lassiter had 449 yards passing (30-41) and 4 passing tds in Lassiter’s 42-10 win over Campbell. Lassiter is 4-0 on the season. Mason has over 1,200 yards passing in 4 games, 73% accuracy rate with 12 tds and 3 ints on the season. 449 yards in one game sets an all-time class AAAAA passing record in Georgia for a single game.

Wiley i think that’s true is some cases,but you do have kids like Rajion Neal and Rajann Bennet that didn’t have a lot of offers from big name schools but prove themselves in elite camps and have had a great year so far.Evaluating talent is a hit or miss.You have to look at what type of talent you are playing against and for as backs look at the o-line.Some of these kids are running behind a very young line that is out manned and still putting up #’s. Where as other backs have lines that weigh 230 to 285 lbs and blowing guys off the ball.There is a big difference but you must read between the lines.

Perkins is a great back whose should get another star added to his profile at least. But the recruiting sevices base alot in who offers the prospect, and since Perkins committed to GT so early other schools are not offering and pursuing him. I think he is one of the top two backs in the state and is just what this offense needs….a workhorse who can take a great number of carries.

You cant look at just yardage,teams might have a more of a balanced offense.If a back carries the ball 25 to 30 times a game with at least 5 yards a carrie he is gonna have a desent game.Backs like Mack Brown and Rajion Neal dont touch the ball 25 to 30 times a game because they dont even play in the second half,BUT THESE GUYS GET IT DONE WHEN THEY DO TOUCH THE BALL AVERAGING 8 T0 9 YARDS A CARRY.So if they touched and ran the ball the whole game like Perkins and Bennet they to will have the same or even better numbers than those guys.

How many yards per game is five star “wonder boy” Mack Brown averaging? Probably at least twice as much as GT commitment Charles Perkins. Right!?

Perkins obviously cannot be four or five star talent since he wants to be a Yellow Jacket.
