BigMike, Run with the big boys? I’m pretty sure OU played Florida MUCH closer than UGA did… Bottom line OSU has a much better offense than UGA, but UGA has a better defense. If the pokes defense makes a good amount of progess under their new coordinator they will have the edge in this game. If OSU had some resemblence of a defense last year they would have certainly beat Texas and probably OU. Their bowl game loss was due to injuries to three of there best players.

Didn’t the pokes have all this hype last time about such a “high flying offense” and they put up what 14? The Dawgs will probably win by like 13 (21 if we don’t miss opportunities and settle for FG’s) so don’t be surprised when it happens. But, after the Dawgs win that game I would LOVE to see the pokes win the Big 12.

OSU was scoring pretty regularly in the first half before Zac Robinson and Dez got hurt. Zac was playing with a separated shoulder in the second half.

Oregon did not smoke us. We were beating them until Dez Bryant got hurt and Zac Robinson got hurt and btw Kendall Hunter- our All- American rb was hurt the whole game- he had just had minor knee surgery and ran stiff the whole day. Final score Oregon 42 OSU 31- we scored 31 with 3 players hurt in the second half.

For the posters that said “this kid would have been on the scout team at UGA and he’ll be playing a lot for OSU”, there are a few things to point out. The first is that OSU does not run the type of offense where we rely heavily on a fullback. There are only two fullbacks on OSU’s roster, Paulsen being one of them. Second, I believe (but could be wrong)that Paulsen enrolled last spring at OSU and was practicing in the spring, which greatly improved his chances at seeing the field this year on Special teams.

We’re excited to have him at OSU and I’m sure he’s been working his butt off for playing time against UGA.

I think Okla State will score somewhere betwwen 14 and 21 points in the opener. That will leave it up to our offense to determine who wins the game. If our offensive line is as good as I think it will be, we should have no big problem in scoring more than 21 points. I can’t wait to see Marlon, Orson, and Rantavious as receivers. It will also be interesting to see if CMR works Branden Smith into the offense.

I can see where you’re coming from regarding the recruiting hypocrisy of Coach Richt in regards to Paulsen. Coach Richt did indeed try to pursue David knowing full well that he had already committed to Oklahoma State back in October. It is evident that Coach Richt clearly did not practice what he himself preaches in regards to his own recruiting beliefs. However, regardless of this particular incident, I believe Mark Richt to be an excellent coach, an extremely moral man, and a man of God. I certainly hope that no one judges you or your character on all the hypocritical things you have said and done in this life. After all, I’m sure you too are a good person even though you’re a HYPOCRITE.

In my opinion, most mothers and fathers would give anything to have their sons coached by the HYPOCRITICAL MARK RICHT! By the way, good luck David. You’ll have a great career at Oklahoma State and should consider yourself very lucky to be coached by another great man; Mike Gundy.

Hey Look Alive – Yea – what kind of seasons would UGA have had if it weren’t for Stafford and Moreno – remember those guys were from out of state?? Also – do you think AJ Green should have gone to USC or Clemson – after all it is his “home” state. And how about your starting QB this year?? Cox is from Charlotte NC, as was Massaquoi (over 90% of UGA’s offensive production the last couple years came from OUT OF STATE Players). With your idiot reasoning they should have gone to NC, or NCS or WF. What about Jeff Owens – the DT that UGA holds in high regard – I guess he should have gone to Miami or FL, or FSU. The best offensive lineman UGA currently has is from out-of-state (Sturdivant)
And as far as jumping ship: He wasn’t recruited by UGA until after he committed to OK – and Richt thought he could steal him (which is a hypocrite – because he has said before that he doesn’t respect players who don’t honor their commitments to UGA – but yet he expects players to break their word with other schools??
Think before you make unrational comments about “jumping shipand “staying in your home state”. Where would UGA be right now if that was the case?
