Welcome to the Florida Family Mack!! I am 57 years old and the best memories of my life are right there in Gainesville, Florida. Next year I will be retiring and moving back (from south Fla) about a mile and a half from the UF campus and I'm excited as a kid about it! I'm even planning on taking a few classes! Also look forward to see those gorgeous Gator co-eds walking around. Hey, I might be "older" but I'm not blind (yet)HAHA. No place like The University of Florida!!

They will NEVER turn on him. Listen and read the comments of people. They are infatuated. As a Florida grad I hope he stays in place for next 20 years. Obviously he is nowhere the incompetent buffoon Bobby is--By the way, how about the collection of miscreants that make up that family??--but I always have the feeling he is the Bud Grant or Gene Mauch of the SEC. Wonderful man, but as a guy to take you to a level of dominance, I'm not seeing it. I don't care how highly ranked recruiting classes are. Now when Meyer leaves, and he will because he is actually coveted by other programs, things may turn but not until then. It's good for Georgia to know the NFL has absolutely no interest in their head coach. Think about why.

Tony, you and T-Rav and the Eastside Grainger, hit it dead on the head. What you all need to understand about these Dawg fans is that they are full of hot air! Your correct, they are a bunch of runner-ups and cant seem to figure that out. It's amazing when Mack was Dawg potential they loved him. Know that he is considering FL, they bash him. Stop questioning his mental stability and look at your own. I applaud the GA fan who add decent comments to this site.

Preach it Fraustrated!! That is telling it like it is. You're way too objective to be a collegiate football fan. I went to one of those horrible football schools, Brown, but still managed to eke out a good life. I tend to pull for underdogs and schools with higher SAT scores. Although I won't go far enough to pull for Duke.

I'll echo Bill Clement's comment. Georgia, an alleged "National Power", has won as many National Championships in the last 28 years as Brigham Young. Their phenom "Missionairy Position" coach has gone 2-7 against his chief rival in the last 9 years. If Ohio State goes 2-7 against Michigan there is a new head coach in Columbus. This guy's main success in Athens came as a result of Florida hiring an idiot after Spurrier, but even the idiot had a winning record against Richt. Georgia was finally able to win a couple of SEC Championships while Zook was doing whatever it was that he was doing but even with Green and Pollack, it was life and death to beat a BAD Florida team in Jacksonville. This will be ANOTHER year without even an appearance in National Title Game. I don't understand how a National Power goes nearly 30 years without playing for a Championship. Look at the other great programs in the country and find ONE!!!! other that replicates that level of mediocrity. You're a National Power or you're not--Richt is a FRAUD who would rather spend time in Borat country. That is fine. He's a great man who I would prefer to have as my neighbor over Urban Meyer BUT if I want to play for National Championships, I'll take Urban Meyer. And before you give me the crap about being a bad FANatic. I want to tell you I'm not FANatical about anything. I'll leave that for cave dwellers in the Khybar Pass. i will not check my brain just because I care about something. If my daughter went from being an A student to a b- student, I would still love her, but I'm not going to act like nothing is wrong. And I really don't care about Mark's win loss record because just like all elite programs Georgia plays at least 6 teams a year that they clearly outman. There fore if the head coach goes 3-3 in the competitive games he is 9-3 OR 81-27 in 9 years. Sounds real good but on closer inspection you understand why hotshot college coaches flop in the NFL where there are no Mississsippi States or Georgia Southerns on the schedule.

So 'gator' Mack Brown's high school You Tube videos made him look good...I'll bet you dollars to doughnuts it didn't look nearly as good as Caleb King's. In fact, I have it good authority that the guy that was in those CK things will show up this season in Athens.

We've all been kinda tough on young Mr. Brown. It's only natural for those that have been 'jilted' to say things that we might regret later. And certainly UF fans can be, and are being, magnanimous in their sanctimonious blabber...for now. But just remember, you are 'defending' national champs. That doesn't mean you're the best football team this year - two losses folks...at least. Get used to it.

Welcome to the Gator Nation Mack! Don't listen to all of the Dawg fans that are on the "Bitter Bus" (I don't know how they get that many morons on the short bus...) I know not all the Dawg fans are dipsh*ts, but there are enough on here to ruin it for the rest of them. Real classy, high school kid earns football scholarship (and doesn't pick your school) and you post that he's a retard. Stay Classy!

Real classy, high school kid earns football scholarship (and doesn’t pick your school) and you post that he’s a retard. Stay Classy!

D.Ellis,
You said: "Showed some disintrest to me."

I just wanted to let you know that disinterest does not mean what you think it does. You want "uninterest." Disinterest means unbiased. I am not trying to offend or correct, just help. It is a common error.

Good luck Mack Brown and the Gators...and the Dawgs...most of the time. Whipsaw those Cowboys again!

I'm a UGA alum and I just watched the scout video of Brown. Unfortunately, this guy looks great! He hits the whole quick, accelerates, and is tough to bring down -- he, like Knowshon, keeps fighting for yards but he is faster than Moreno. Some of you UGA colleagues who keeps say he is not that good do not know what you are talking about.

GA really did not need this kid. I think we just wanted to keep everyone else from getting him. He would have been red shirted because we are loaded with great RB. Florida really needs him their running game has never been their strong point. Good luck get your education. GO DAWGS,

Mack Brown will be utilized in the Florida offense all over the field, mainly in the backfield but also sometimes in the slot. I will predict that by his second year, he will be UF's first 1,000 yard rusher since Ciatrick Fason, but will also be active in the passing game. Wouldn't be surprised to see him with 20-30 receptions. He will definitely be moved around a bit to create mismatches. Gators will be going to more of what Meyer utilized at Utah with Alex Smith with alot more emphasis on the backs and tight ends.

The dawgs are loaded at RB--no big deal. Brown will disappear in Florida's spread offense like their other RBs. Ga beats florida in 2010---mark it down, on the way to the SEC!!!

Tony 1st where did you coach? 2nd how many 10 win seasons has your team had in the last 8 years...sorry but if teams can go undefeated and win a confrence championshio andstill not even get a chance to even PLAY for a MNC..seems like wins per year are even MORE important because they keep your team in the conversation for league and MNC debates..if you and the gator and bugs fans were not concerned about the Dawgs you wouldn't put this much bile and effort in you same old rants..10 win seasons or even conference champs don't get to play for the MNC ever year..even if you win the SEC. They do show the highest level of play year in and year out...we are picked to be 2nd in our conference behind the current MNC and the odds on favorite to repeat as MNC..folks even a bug should understand that is not a bad place to be, as the members of this stellar recruiting class know ...Congrats to Mack and his family and to the gator nation...your guys are the best of the moment and getting to play you in that role is a great opportunity for the Dawgs...ladies and gentlemen the season is looming and I for one can't wait..Go Dawgs...

I don't blame Brown for not picking UGA.

Mike Bobo is a joke of an offensive coordinator. For example:

It's 3rd and 17--Bobo's thought process " Duh, I know! We'll run Matt Stafford up the middle! Surely he'll pick up a first down!"

It's 3rd and Goal from the 2 yard line--Bobo's thought process " Duh. I know! We'll throw a fade route to the corner of the endzone, because that play never fails! Defensive coordinators never see that one coming!"
