Yet, I wasnt trying to silence anyone because they disagree with me. I am very open to discussion with anyone who disagrees with me on any subject. CMR did the same for Shaun Chapas! Speed of the leader determines speed of the team. I will take CMR all day over any other out there. The reality is he words are proven by his action! Check out the loyality his coaching staff has for him. Recruits look for winning programs,playing time and coach’s who don’t stick each other in the back. See LSU…Tenn…SC…for example’s of coach’s jumping ship for money or a better position on a staff! Bottom line I think CMR does his best coaching when were under the radar..IE 2005 SEC Champs

VOICE OF REASON – excellent post – let’s praise these young men for their decisions – whether they decide on schools other than UGA. What an exciting time for these kids.

BAMA STAN – Great Posts – enjoy your comments and how you sometimes like to pull the UGA tail to get us riled up. Liked your idea on jersey colors. Red for day games only – Black for night games only – make every night game a black out. College football is fun – this would be fun for players, opposing players (beat the dawgs during a blackout) and all the fans.

Yeah having 10 win seasons year after year, winning BCS bowls and multiple conf championships…that’s not a winning tradition at all…when was the last time tech had a 10 win season? What a bunch of saps. CMR’s feel good vibe has total distracted you GA fans from the fact that he can’t take you to the next level. I am sure CMR is a nice guy, but there are a bunch of nice guys out there. What you need are some nice guys who know how to win (Meyer, Tebow, Spikes are examples). And there is not a tradition of winning at GA, there is a tradition of making excuses and talking about next year. UGA = the most overhyped tradition with nothing to back it up excpet a couple years of Herschel. That is not a tradition, that is an aberration.

The fanbase of any team that consistently finishes in the top 10-15 will dream of National Championships. Some will crow, some will make fools of themselves, and some will just sit proudly and quietly and aspire. We Dawgs are no different, as you can see as you read these blogs. But we have a reason to be proud. We have the tradition of winning (with a few burps i.e. Goff Donnan), a beautiful campus with lots of beautiful girls, fine colleges within the University, great facilities, storied stadium, Bowl Games, and a Damn Good Dawg mascot UGA. No wonder those Johnny Come Latelies over in Old Techwood are jealous, and those Terrible Lizards to the south worry about us.

Atticus, all you Dawg fans have done for the past 28-1/2 years is talk about how your team is going to win the NC this year, and they never do. But you would not trade your coach for a coach who has won the NC 2 out of the last 3 years. Right, I believe you. P.S. FLorida would not make that trade either. We like winning NC, and we don’t like not living up to our potential under the head coach every year.
