This guy is trouble. His dad is trouble. Couldn’t have been happier to see him go. Didn’t even start for Loganville. Won’t go to LSU. Talented with too much baggage. This kid could learn alot from Cody Getz.

Storm has no injuries KD. He won’t hit the hole. He hates fughting through the line. He won’t catch i9n traffic. He was in a 2A scholl and now faces 4A defense and peed himself. He took himself out of game after negative yards. He ONLY wants the big holes and the big plays. He did not turn down GA or GT. In the beginning he went to GA and gave interviesws and “they were in the running”. “They” never offered. No one from GA offered. His dad is the main push here. Good Luck LSU.

Once again, basing who should of started on where they go to college isn’t very effective. Storm didn’t hit the whole as hard and was afraid of contact, Buford coaches saw this in practice and started Cody, they won the state championship. Colleges can recruit on potential because they don’t all recruits to step in as freshman, they can allow them to develop and get better year after year. Cody is about as good as he is going to be, but storm hasn’t even came close to how good he can be. If learns to run through contact, and hit the whole instead of bouncing everything outside he can be great.

O your exactly right storm played behind the 2nd line the whole year that’s reason. Wow why did I think of that? hmmmmm… maybe because he didnt? Storm was never in wit the 2nd line that i can recall . He had more carries than Cody and would have had more if he didn’t take himself out after every carry he had. Saw Storm play in the Loganville scrimmage, he got tackled hard a few times and seemed like he did not want the ball anymore after that, could have been the coaches not playing wanting to play him anymore, but i heard he got only 5 carries that game. He also seemed slow footed to me not so quick on his feet, don’t know if all this was because of a injury or not.

You’re absolutely right. Cody got the ball 24 times. Storm got it 8. He was always put behind the second team line in an effort to keep him from scoring so that he would not steal the light from Cody, but he scored anyway. You saw that run didn’t you? ….Should’ve been caught behind the line of srimmage….got away…out ran the team for the TD. Come on!!
Cody had one scholarship offer all year. Airforce! Storm has more than 25. Are you kidding me? No disrespect to Cody….a good player…but Buford does like certain players over others. Storm was at Buford 3 years,senior year at Loganville, …like these folks who know so much of nothing. No issues, with character, grades, or anything else. Be sorry for Buford…played their cards wrong, by promoting one player over the other….happy for Loganville, they have a good player, equally happy for LSU, they know how to pick’em.

Another thing Brick, What happen to Florida after winning first NC(with Zooks recruits!!) they went out and lost 4 games including one to a week Michigan team with Tim Tebow at quarterback, why because they were young, same thing with LSU last year,they lost alot of talent to NFL, but this year they are loaded again and will finish in top 5. Sec goes around in a circle like this Alabama, Georgia having reload years and next year after Tebow leaves Florida will have a down year.

Brick: You still are not making any sense. LSU had 4 QB’s on the roster at the time Perrilloux was kicked off. Lee needed another year before he was ready to start and Hatch was only a stop gap. Before last year, LSU had JaMarcus Russell, Matt Flynn, and Ryan Perrilloux which made it hard for Les to recruit a top notch QB’s. But once again, it is not Miles’ fault Lee threw 7 pick 6’s, that lost LSU 2 maybe 3 games last year. Les did what he could with what he had. Now, had Perrilloux graduated and LSU was still in a QB pinch with no one ready to take over, then yes Miles would be blamed for that but at this point, no he is not to blame for the QB situation last year. Actually, LSU was set up quite nicely with Perrilloux at QB.

As for “playing with Saban’s recruits.” Good grief, give it up. That argument is beyond old at this point. Miles has COACHED LSU everyday, every game since 2005. Saban has done nothing for LSU since he left in 2004. Saban has been given credit for fencing off the state of Louisiana and for turning LSU into a contender but that is it. Les has proven that he is one of the best recruiters in the country and he will continue to do so. Saban couldn’t even do as good a job as Miles has with his own recruits. Haha. Richt won with Donnan’s recruits. Meyer is winning with Zook recruits. The same can be said for EVERY coach that has taken over a program but yet if that coach goes 3-9 the next 3 years he will be fired. Not because the previous coaches recruits are bad but because he could not do better with what he was given. Think about it. A bad coach would have lost more than 11 games in SEC in 4 years. And a bad coach wouldn’t have won the National Championship, lucky or not.

Tubbs? Are you referring to Tubberville? No thanks! 1) guy wouldn’t have been available to coach at LSU had Les left in 07. 2) the guy is an average coach and recruiter at best. He pretty much had Alabama to himself for the last 5 years of his career at AU and still could not accomplish much. Les >>>>>> Tubbs

Face it. After Meyer, it’s a toss up between Miles, Saban, and Richt for the top coaching spot in the SEC.

Matt, he is responsible for not having but 1 qb on the roster, if not him who is, he is the head coach? That four year run was a result of Saban’s recruiting and you know that. Les is barely top half in the SEC and LSU would have been lucky if he went to Mich and you grabbed Tubbs. LSU, will be hard pressed to be top 2 in west this year too.

The bigger picture here is that we have one of our own which has an opportunity to continue his education at a fine institution from the great state of Georgia as well as Atlanta and the surrounding communities. His is not on or affiliate with drugs, no one pregnant, no wrap sheet, good grades and a good ACT/SAT score – no matter where he attends college I am sure the position coach and staff will do what it will take to address whatever issues or skills that need to be improved on. Storm will conform or simply he will not get playing time at the next level. The competitor spirit in Storm will guide him to adjust and be very productive at the next level. No athlete at the high school level is flawless, the coaches at the next level knows this and they are qualify to get it corrected. Storms size and speed will be an asset to any team specially playing in the SEC

How are you bursting my bubble? The only responsibility Les can take for the QB situation is kicking Perrilloux off the team. Which, by the way, no one is arguing with. Beyond that, Les did what he could with the team he fielded. It’s not his fault his starting QB continually threw Int’s. He frequently admitted before and during the season that his QB’s were too young, were not ready, and were thrown into a situation that was out of anybody’s control. He didn’t start Jefferson earlier because he was so young and raw. Hell, the kid didn’t even get a scholarship offer from LSU until halfway through his senior season. We saw in the final two games that while Jefferson is a good athlete he was still not ready to lead an SEC offense. What we saw from JJ was pure talent and 4 months of work as a 3rd string player.

I could say Les gets blame for not hiring a true D-coordinator but that situation put LSU in the position to grab Chavis from Tenn. who has been one of the best D-coordinators in the nation the past decade so he’ll get a slight reprieve.

Other than that Les is responsible for one of the best 4 year runs in LSU history, along with the most exciting. Yes better than what Saban did while at LSU and he’ll continue to do so for a long time to come.

So I hate to burst your bubble but you don’t know what you are talking about.

Matt, I really hate to burst your bubble with Les, but he was responsible for LSU’s qb problems in 08. 07 had ever close play go his way or it was another 5 loss season instead of a BCS championship. Johnson wasn’t recruited by UGA or Tech, the 2 instate schools, that should be a hint that either he is overrated or he has some issues. Take that and add it to 3 different HSs in four years, does that not sound like there is some kind of problem?

hopefully storm is better than the other leftovers LSU got from Georgia. The 2 Georgia LB’s are a big reason the opposition ran right through LSU. The 2 early signees this year are an undersized, undertalented “athlete” Calhoun and a too short/too slow LB in Minter. THe other Georgia guys, with the exception of T-Bob Hebert, will be transferring to smaller schools or taking up scholarship space in Derrick Bryant and Cordian Hagans.

How about Facts 7-10? Florida, LSU, Ohio St.,and Oklahoma. The coaches from the last 3 national champions and the coaches from the last 3 runner-ups offered Storm. Yet these coaches need to get educated and take a closer look? I would throw in Bobby Bowden and FSU, but it could be debated whether or not he has been educated.

If my kid was good enough to garner scholarship offers from these elite programs and he was sitting on the bench behind a 5′6 150 lb RB who was offered to walk-on at Fla and UGA, I can understand why he might want to transfer.

Buford may not miss Storm but only time will tell whether Athens misses him if he is carrying the ball in the Georgia Dome wearing purple and gold.

Strom is a good runningback if he is not one of the best backs then who is. If he was a 2nd back at buford and still had 1300 yards with 21 touchdowns that speaks for it self. And coaches sometime show favorites to players if the other person is better than the other so i could understand why he transfer. He wants to have a good senior season and wants to start instead of being 2nd string again at Buford. And i know both Strom and his dad. And if you ask me Strom is the top back in the state because he is 6″1 215 and has break away speed.

If you say this kid is the 2nd best runninback in the state,you need to get educated and take a closer look.I know both father and son.Fact 1-he has never started a varsity game.Fact 2-he was beaten out by Cody Getz at Buford and it was not close.Fact 3-My sons team beat Wes Johnsons team to go to the championship in the GFL by 4 touchdowns and daddy Johnson would not shake anyones hand.Fact 4-Loganville is about the 4th or 5th school he has transferred to.Fact 5- Buford does not miss father or son the least bit.Fact 6-I heard in the spring game at Loganville he had 64 yds on about 22 carries against questionable competition.Hmmmmmmm he is about the 14th best back in the state.He will transfer 3 or 4 times in college.

It’s a Gator World, yes LSU had some luck to win the BCS in 07 but so did Florida in 06 and last season. Any team that wins it all has to have some luck. BTW LSU beat Bama 5 straight seasons form 2003-07. Bama did dominate LSU at home 15 games or so but LSU has been dominate in Tuscaloosa recently too. Check out the record.

LSU takes 1 or 2 recruits from GA every year. Last recruiting class LSU got Kevin Minter who looks like he is going to be a very good MLB for them. A couple years before that both Perry Riley and Kelvin Sheppard came to LSU from Stephenson. And the projected starting Center T-Bob Hebert came to LSU from Norcross. But LSU also goes into Fla, Bama, TN, MS, and Texas as well as LA to get their recruits which just goes to show the reach of this elite program.

If you knew how to read you’d clearly see that I did not mention anything past 2000 because we were only talking about this decade. LSU became a contender with Saban. I think 9 years of work is enough to go off of so there is no need to go back another decade. I concede the fact that LSU was owned by Bama for several years, so was everybody else, including UF. And we all know that Spurrier fielded some of the best teams the SEC has seen. The point is that LSU, since 2000, has risen to elite status and with the exception of head to head matchups with UF and UGA, has owned the SEC. What am I envious of? Both UF and LSU have 2 National Titles this decade. Both have SEC championships to their credit. LSU has been as good if not better than UF this decade. The only area UF truely dominates in are offseason arrests.

Meyer will leave UF as soon as Notre Dame comes calling. Sure, UF can give him a huge check and he’ll continue to rake in the recruits but his heart is in South Bend. He has publically said that ND is where he wants to be. Why be at UF, with the rest of the SEC coaches when he could be all alone at the top of the world at Notre Dame (at least in their eyes). Oh and I’m pretty sure that whatever UF offers Meyer, ND will see that and raise it. Saban should be enough of an example that money talks and some of these top coaches have no loyalty. I see Meyer being one of them. Don’t get too comfortable with him guys. He’ll be gone soon enough.

Also, I’m pretty sure LSU only beat Spurrier once but they were #1 at the time and defending National Champs so I’ll take it!!!
