Alec Ogletree, Georgia’s No. 1 prospect, picks UGA with brother’s blessing

Alec Ogletree, the state's No. 1 prospect, picked UGA over Miami, among 50+ scholarship offers (AJC)

Newnan safety Alec Ogletree, who is ranked as the state’s No. 1 prospect by Scout, hopes to play college football with his brother.

However, that remains to be seen, as Alec made a surprising commitment to Georgia over more than 50 scholarship offers this weekend. His twin, Zander Ogletree, has an offer from Florida State and is under consideration from Georgia.

“We want to play together,” Alec told the AJC. “Georgia said they are serious about [Zander] and they might offer after they get to evaluate him later this summer at camp.

“If it doesn’t work out, that’s OK. He’s got other options, too. I just felt Georgia was the right place for me, and I didn’t see any reason to wait any longer.”

The 6-foot-2, 215-pound Ogletree is ranked as the nation’s second-best safety by Scout. He is the most celebrated commitment of Georgia’s 2010 recruiting class, which already has 11 early pledges. The Bulldogs are expected to sign 18 players in February and are quickly filling up their scholarship slots after a slow start.

Georgia is still in solid contention for many of the state’s top rising seniors, including Douglass defensive end Garrison Smith, M.L. King tailback Mack Brown, and Jackson linebacker Neiron Ball.

With Ogletree, Georgia edged out his longtime favorite, Miami. “I got to visit both campuses to see what they are like. I really liked Georgia better. The coaching staff made me feel like I was at home.”

Zander, a 5-9, 205-pound linebacker, said he was proud of his brother. “I think it’s cool he picked Georgia. I wish the best for him. Maybe I’ll get to play with him at Georgia, maybe I won’t. Whatever happens, I’m sure it all will work out for the best.”

It’s about time. The number 1 kid in state commits and then we have a serious delay. Hmmmmmmm. Welcome to the DAWG family Alec. For the Dawg fans, let me encourage all to focus on this huge commitment and not all the useless gossip and pathetic bloggers. We just got a commitment from a kid that is the prototype strong safety. 6′3 215 with range and bone crushing hits. Oh he said no to GT. This kid is smart and talented. Go DAWGS. For all the GT and Gator fans that will post pointless comments about UGA and this kid, I say to get a clue and focus on your team. Ask yourself why you are reading UGA blogs.

I’d say there’s a 50-50 chance that UGA will offer Zander. It all depends on how he performs at UGA’s summer camp, and what some other prospects that UGA has offered decide to do, such as N. Ball, etc. Zander at 5-9 or 5-10 projects to play OLB or safety in college. If you ask the folks in the Newnan, they say he’s a better “player” than his brother, who is obviously a better “prospect.” Then again, FSU is already impressed enough with Zander and I’m sure other big-time D1 schools will offer sooner or later, if not UGA.

GoTech610, why are you reading and posting on UGA blogs? If you are happy with GT, find a GT blog. Useless trash talking serves no purpose. I can’t understant why you are so focused on UGA. I never read GT blogs. I have no interest in what GT is doing until they play UGA. If you truly feel GT is superior why are you trying to point out the flaws of a lesser (your perception) team? It makes no sense. You guys act like you won the lottery last season. Is beating UGA that big of a deal to you? Beating GT is a given in Athens. The truth is that UGA’s team was playing with an unusual number of serious injuries but that is old news. The present news is that we are rocking in recruiting. Go Dawgs.

Too bad this talent will go wasted. UGAY could recruit every top-talent in the nation, and still come closer to winning a national title than Agnes Scott.

Anyone who chooses this program must understand they are entering an overrated and under-coached program.

If it is not too late, look at higher quality programs such as UF, Southern Cal, Texas or LSU.

Mike Bobo…UGA finished 11-2 and #2 in the nation in 2007…you wouldn’t consider that “close” to a national title? Furthermore, UGA is 3-2 against LSU in the last 5 meetings…so UGA is clearly in the same class as LSU. UGA is 74-18 since ‘02 with two SEC Championships and two Sugar Bowl Championships. They are also 6-1 in bowl games since ‘02.

For you to come on a UGA blog spouting out that kind of non-sense shows how clueless you are about college football. Although UGA hasn’t won a MNC, they are clearly a superior football program with great coaches. Over the last 10 years, they have continued to produce big-time NFL players in large numbers. Much of that is talent, but a big chunk is also coaching.

So, the question is…why would a recruit not want to go to UGA? They could go to Tech and be part of an option offense or UGA and be part of a pro-style (NFL) offense. Why do you think Stafford came to UGA…to be part of a pro-style offense…subsequently, he was the first pick in the draft.

Wonder if this has any connection with the Jarrick Williams commitment to Bama Saturday. Just seems odd that 2 of the top safeties commit at the same time for different SEC programs. The way it’s looking though, Williams might have to wait in line for the Tide to get a chance. Saban is loading up on DB’s. (well, on pretty much everything else too; come to think of it)

Next a d-end and a corner and a couple of d-tackles and the defense will be set. UGA should end up with about 20 to 22 commits this year -not 18 as reported. Two guys were kicked off the team and one commit last year didn’t qualify.

So you guys keep piping off. All its doing is adding fuel to the fire because this team, this year, will come out highly motivated. And for you Tech geeks, let it go already. TechDan,

UGA earned the right to play in the Sugar Bowl. The Dawgs had no say in who they played in that game. They just went out and took care of business in the game. Besides, if you recall, a lot of the talking heads were actually hyping Hawaii as an upset pick prior to the game. Of course, once UGA destroyed Hawaii, those same talking heads then declared it to be an expected outcome. The way UGA played to close out that season, I think they could’ve beaten pretty much anyone in the nation, if given the opportunity. It’s not their fault that they weren’t given the opportunity to play someone better than Hawaii. It’s just the way the current system works.

I guess all of the Techies are forgetting that they ended the season with a worse record and lower in the rankings than UGA… There is a battle, and a war Techies; and you only won one of those. Say what you will about Martinez, but in his time in Athens, he has put more kids from his defense into the NFL than Tech has as a program. With the new offensive scheme they have in place now, look for that trend to continue.

Great pick up on Ogletree. Keep those 4 & 5 star guys coming Richt!

Tech is in store for great seasons, Georgia will always be at least an 8 win team. I will give UGA credit, when fans from other teams blog on your site to rub it in…you must be a pretty good team. After reading a few of these blogs, this sounds like the bully you finally beat. Not sure why anyone would hate a “football team” so much. Dawg fans, you dont get the big picture. For years, you’ve had the best talent–not only in the state, but in the country–and still come up empty year after year. It’s not about the talent, its about the team and how well they work together. So, if this guy stays out of trouble long enough to make the team, he can be part of another collapse by Richt’s lack of leadership.

I told everyone that the questionable fans of other schools would be flocking to this blog. They are obsessed with UGA. Some of these poignant people leave posts on UGA blogs on a daily basis. That is so sad. They are so dissatisfied with their school that they hope to pull UGA down to their level. They post the same things to the point of redundancy. We see the UGA/GT score posted. That is hilarious to me. That is all those people have to state. You get dominated for a decade. You get embarrassed by LSU. You beat a team that was obviously better but lacked defensive guidance and riddled with injuries. That is so pathetic. I am waiting for the academic excuses. That suggests that smart kids are lesser athletes which is ludicrous. The Gator “fans?” are talking trash about championships and recruiting. The true Gator fans, more than five years, have no need to talk garbage. They know that they won the national title and have enough class to avoid the stupid stuff. They are also disgusted by the bandwagon fans because they realize that they are not true Gators. These people were wearing other team colors five years ago and will be doing the same thing in a few years. These people keep criticizing the kids that UGA gets to commit. That is not smart. Throwing local high school kids under the bus alienates many kids. We welcome them to the UGA family while the other fans denounce their ability and intelligence. They poke fun of Mark Richt for being a devout Christian. That is a lack of class. Go DAWGS.

For this recruit that Georgia just picked up to be so over rated and bad, there seems to be a lot of people hating on him and Georgia. If he sucks, the so be it. He is a bulldawg now let Georgia deal with him sucking. If you support another team go to your blog and check out who commited to your team and comment. It’s amazing how many non Georgia fans come on this blog and hate on the bulldawgs. We are by no means perfect. yes we have a lot of holes to fill. Yes from time to time we recruit players who dont live up to their potential, and yes we have some coaching flaws, but so does every other team in America and I dont recall but only 1 team winning the National title last year and that was Florida, give them credit they were the best and favorite to win it all again. Now move on haters. Everyone is in the same boat except the Champions. They are a cut above the rest. So stop being childish and ignorant. These are kids who are making career decisions. Chris in Indy,
Your ignorant comments reflect the problem with uninformed people posting erroneous things. First, UGA plays in the greatest conference in the country. To win in the SEC, is an incredible accomplishment because of the talent that abounds throughout the conference. I remind you that Florida lost to Ole Miss. We typically play a schedule that is ranked in the top five for its level of difficulty. In terms of being the top talent producer, we do produce a great number of NFL players but not the most. In terms of results, how many teams averaged 10 wins over the last five seasons? Mark Richt has one of the greatest winning percentages in college football history (82 – 22), hence your comment is totally wrong. You pathetic attempt to throw a wrench into the UGA engine will not work. We, the DAWG family, love our coach and team. We really could care less how you feel about Coach Richt. You are just jealous that your team does not have a man of such high character. We recruit well because parents want to send their children to a man that prepares them to play football, but he also helps them become productive young men and better people. Do they make mistakes? Yes, we all did in college. It is a time of learning. You really need to ask yourself why you are reading UGA blogs. It makes you look desperate and pitiful. We are very aware that a national title is in our near future. We were in line to play in the game a few seasons ago yet were leapfrogged based on the ESPN bias. Mark Richt cannot control ESPN propaganda. We moved on and dominated the great Hawaiian offense. All that is history now and we are looking to the future. That may be a reason that great kids like Alec Ogletree just joined the DAWG family. Welcome Alec. Go DAWGS……

Miami is going to win a national title in two seasons. Dude you need to get help for the wacky weed addiction. You talk about a coach on the hot seat. This man is alienating high school programs such as Plant High School. That is not smart. That school can’t even dominate the ACC with FSU struggling the last few seasons. You have a weak fan base. Your program has a thug rep. and many kids avoid that program. Look what happens to your NFL players. Yes, Odel lost his mind but UM has had several players that died in questionable situations. Your best QB is run out of the program and you are on the verge of winning. Yeah right. How many coaches declined the UM job? Dude you are delusional. Go take your medication before the nurse catches you out of your rubber room. Alec visited the schools and deemed UGA the better school. Wreckmaniac, are you talking about UGA football or GT basketball? GT get destroyed in a real bowl game by a SEC team that UGA defeated. HMMMMM…. maybe you guys should return to the Poulan Alaskan Bowl versus NW Idaho State. We have owned your school for a decade. We have to let you win from time to time otherwise what would be the point of playing the game. GT offers 80% of the kids UGA signs. GT signs highly ranked kids too, yet you play in crazy bowl games. GT offered Alec but he didn’t want to play for the lesser program. Your team wins 9 games and you would think you guys won the lottery. We win 10 games and consider it an off year. That is the state of the two programs. We are an elite top 10 program. I can’t wait until the game happens this year. After UGA stomps GT, we will hear all the academic excuses again. I guess you have to cling to something. Go DAWGS.

Look. It’s no mystery that Georgia is going to have better recruiting classes than Tech. They’re going to have better players, better talent, they’ll be bigger, faster, and stronger, speaking in generalities. But what they don’t possess and haven’t had in quite sometime is discipline and intelligence. If your players are truly focused on succeeding and winning a national championship, they’re not out at the bars getting hammered and making dumb decisions, getting arrested, failing classes, etc. This is the reason why, while you Georgia fans on this blog are basking in your glory for the past 8 years under the Mark Richt era about how you’ve got 2 SEC titles, and won 2 sugar bowls etc., that you’ve never even made it to a national championship game. And dawgtime, when you beat Hawaii in the Sugar Bowl, don’t even try to make the argument that you should have been in the national championship game. YOU DIDN’T EVEN MAKE IT TO YOUR CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME. Now tell me, how should someone, who, by wins and losses, isn’t even the best team in their SIDE of the conference, even be considered to be the best team in the nation? Georgia’s lack of discipline has haunted them these past 8 years. Have they had teams good enough to win a national championship? Yes. But they haven’t. Having said that, you’ve had your reign, and believe it or not, the playing field is being leveled, not only in the state, but in the SEC. Vanderbilt, Ole Miss, Arkansas, are all programs on the rise. Watch yourself dawgs, before you go screaming about recruits that won’t step on the field until 2010, you’d better focus on the first game of the season, because I promise, the sea of orange is waiting for you in Stillwater.

You are the ONLY people in the world who feel that way. PERIOD!!! Get out of Atlanta and see what people think about tech compared to UGA. You win 1 time this decade and now you are superior. You get a recruit to go to tech over UGA and now you are better recruiters? How sad it must be to be a tech fan now. The way you get on here and talk tough when we all know you are pimple popping punks who would get beat up by a pillow is the exact reason why you suck! Go pop zits, talk about the girls you wish you could get, and walk around the campus with your head down afraid to make eye contact with anyone because you are insecure little twerps but like to get behind a computer and act tough. Ramblin Wreck: I guess being a Yech fan, you’ve just started paying attention to college football. Schlabach is the former beat writer for UGA. He knows that this will be a “down” year for UGA. Our down year still puts us in the top 25. What does a down Tech year look like? How about 1994 when you were 1-10 I think? Further, this is a preseason poll. Not an analysis of the program.

Tech had a nice season. They beat their hated rival (despite giving up 42 points). That gives them 5 wins over UGA since 1990. Since you’re so good with math, I’ll let you count up how many Georgia has had in that same span.

And thanks for reminding us that UGA has 2 SEC titles this decade. The same conference that has produced 4 national champs this decade. Does Yech have any ACC titles? The same ACC that has no Nat’l champ this decade? The same ACC that has seen Miami and FSU slowly crumble. Where a school like Wake seizes the day and wins an ACC title. But Yech can’t even get in a January bowl?

If you understood football, you’d have a little humility. Especially if you pull for the 2nd rate team in a region dominated by Nat’l powers. Maybe you should read a little from Bear Bryant (the guy won 6 rings I think) and you’ll understand why all coaches in the SEC downplay their successes and praise their opponents.

Upper case format should be reserved for the first letter in the first word of sentence or in the first letter of a proper noun (a city, state, country or a person’s name). Now, in order to type a letter in the upper case format, you’ll need to use the “Shift” button while you press the letter you desire to be in upper case format. All letters will appear in lower case format, accept when you use the “Shift” button. Thanks for visiting this blog and good luck with your team this fall (they should demolish everyone they play, provided Tebow doesn’t ascend into heaven early). Also, try not to move your lips while reading.

I will say again – It has not mattered and will not matter how many top recruits UGA brings aboard. They will still LOSE a couple of games each year that they should win, and with each L, it will become more obvious that CMR is not the man to take you to the next level; you know, that upper crust level that Florida and LSU look down on the rest of the league from.

Yes, a waste of talent.

I hate the Gators and the Tigers but those programs are examples of how a true Coach brings together a team and puts them on the field with every intention of winning a NC every game. Dawg fans spew about how many kids have gone pro and how they’ve won this and that, WITH NO NC, year after year. Every summer it’s ‘This is The Year!’ and every winter it’s ‘Man, we were so close’.

The fact that you play in the SEC means nothing. So does Florida, but they routinely play as a team and get where they wanna go. UGA, not so much. UGA gets a few arrests, a ton of excuses (”look at our schedule, look at our injuries, look we had to travel a few states away!”), and another mediocre bowl.

I have no issue with Richt’s Christianity–that’s obsurd. The fact is this: UGA always gets the best players in the country and they never live up to the expectation. Therefore, it must be the coach. Simple fact.

Tech students had better start using Kevlar pocket protectors to try to stop the bullets.

Good luck to Paul Johnson trying to spin these robberies/muggings to prospects. I’m sure plenty of parents would love for their child to spend four years at school in the ghetto dodging bullets and muggers. Plenty of recruits would also be impressed with playing a crappy schedule in front of a 1/2 filled stadium, assuming they can avoid the muggers. Florida has NEVER won a national championship because they don’t exist in Division 1A college football……neither has USC or Notre Dame or GT or Georgia or Alabama for that matter. This made up bogus nonsense is a fraud and unrecognized by the NCAA. The AP is no more legitimate than the BCS or the coaches poll, or the litkinhouse, or the “National Championship” that Cheetos and I award every year. The only legitimate modes of comparison from one team to the next are wins, head to head results, and conference championships that are actually awarded by the their sanctioning entity based on the results on the field. The NCAA doesn’t award or recognize a National Champion……and never has. And at this clip looks like they never will.

So this line of reasoning that “so and so will never win a MNC here” or “so and so has never won a NC” is 100% irrelevant because its a phantom concept. Nationally, we have a pageant winner…….not a champion.

He told me that both will be great college players. Alec is an incredible athlete that plays a deep FS. He is great in coverage and run support. In terms of Alec being overrated, my cousin told me that is being reported by someone that has no clue what they are talking about. A total lie. He told me that Zander is a tackling machine much like Rennie Curran. That is a report from someone that knows the truth about the brothers. Not some crap people post to minimize UGA recruiting. 51-7 51-7 51-7 51-7 51-7 Decade of domination Decade of domination Decade of domination. Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha. This is so silly. Here is the differences between UGA and GT fans. A UGA fan can’t tell you five players on the GT roster. We cannot tell how GT does on Saturdays unless they are playing UGA. We could care less because we don’t pray for the demise of their program. We don’t go around focusing on what GT does because it doesn’t matter. A GT fan can tell you every kid on the UGA roster. They are obsessed with UGA. They watch every UGA game praying that they lose. They keep up with all the negative gossip in hopes of seeing the demise of UGA. They really are sad people. If you ask a UGA girl for a date, the conversation will focus on a great place to go out and eat. If you ask a GT thang for a date, they will write down June 29, 2009. They just don’t get it. They will try to convince you and themselves that every GT kid becomes a future engineer. Yeah right. The vast majority of their fans never graduate from any school. I know of two that barely graduated from high school. When they start all the academic propaganda, I look at them and laugh. It is kind of like the popular chick versus the nasty scank in high school. The scank hates the popular girl because they can never be the popular chick even though the popular chick never does anything to them. Good get for Georgia. Very talented player and a potential difference maker on the defense. Maybe things are building for better matches in Jax in the future. But, please, take note of who the “2nd best” safefy in the country is…and where he is committed to…that’s right, U of F. Plus, the best athlete, who is also a safety, is also committed to Florida. Plus, the safety position is already loaded with NFL talent at Florida, so much that both of these top safety prospects (who are also outstanding WRs) are being projected at WR or CB at Florida. Elam, in particular, is an unbelieveable talent at both S and WR. Dowling is equally as good at CB as he is at safety or WR. Florida just keeps on adding the best athletes in the country, whatever the position. But, good job on getting this kid away from Miami. But come signing day in February, Florida will have the number 1 class in the nation…no doubt…and they will then become the best coached talent in the country, and future national champions. Go Gators.

But at least you will get an up-close and personal view of the butt-whipping Tech will be putting on the mutts during the Paul Johnson era. Oh, and if past performance is any indication of future performance the first time you lose a game the fans will turn on you faster than a fat kid chasing a run-away M&M. Hey southgadawg88, let me see if i can give you an answer. 2 years ago, you guys complained you should have played for the BCS title, but u underperformed against a mediocre SC team and got blown out by Phat Phil’s team. No excuses now – They had their chances, but… THEY COULD NOT CLOSE THE DEAL!!! Now, last season, you guys complained that if the Dawgs had a few more minutes, you coulda/woulda beat the Tide, but you know what… THE GAME IS 60 MINUTES LONG, AND THE TEAM WITH THE HIGHEST SCORE WHEN THE CLOCK HITS :00 WINS. DUH!!! Then you got romped by TT and company in a game that was NOT as close as the score indicated. Then the Dawgs with all those 4 & 5 star recruits underacheived yet again on Nov 29 AT HOME against CPJ and his 2 & 3 star recruits, who actually came to play. The trademark of a MR coached team is that of an underacheiver. Meyer, Miles, Saban, Spurrier, Tubberville, even Phat Phil could have worked wonders and won titles with all that talent, but under MR, all they do is UNDERACHIEVE.

10-3 is a fine year for a mediocre SEC team that has accepted the fact that it is ok to be average, but if I was landing 4-5 star recruits over and over again, I’d be upset that I’m not even at the same caliber as Florida or LSU.

And, really…I dont think you can live with that. 10-3 will never be good enough to land anything other than a bowl game against Wyoming or Hawaii because 10-3 will always be mid-pack in the SEC and never good enough for the BCS.

I say again…UGA is undercoached for the quality of players that it has. You guys get the best talent in the country and it never pans out because ‘you had to travel too far’. CMR is not the answer.

Unfortunately they want it given to them instead of having to work for that honor. 82-22 BEST IN THE SEC BABY

Dude, no one cares about any of that other than–

No National Championships

If I have the talent that you guys have, I am expecting a NC every year. No questions, excuses, ‘luck’ or whatever.

well, if 82-22 is indeed the best, then I guess I am right, because you have been THE BEST, and still can’t play in the NC game, much less win a title. Wow – that is embarrassing!!!

Chris in Indy

82-22 and no NC game appearances is the epitome of not being able to win the big one…which equals bad preparation and leadership.

JMac12203

I will have to put 82-22 right up there with 1980, as meaningless dribble from someone who cannot defend his bunch of underachievers except to say 82-22. How many NC did 82-22 produce??? The Braves with all those division titles have won FEWER World Series titles than the Florida Marlins, who have NEVER won a division title. You have to play the games, not expect a handout. The Dawgs always fold; always will

There is a difference between having a great program and having a great team. UGA has a great program and has not yet put a great(NC) team on the field. UGA has consistently been a very good team year in and year out under MR. UGA has simply not been mentally prepared every game of a given year to get them over the top. Heck, in the case of last year, it actually boiled down to not being mentally focussed for halves or quarters of games.

All I got to say beware of what happened with the Brinkley brothers that wanted to come too Georgia but Georgia only wanted one of them. So the brother decided to go to South Carolina and everytime they played Georgia that were amazing. I hope we can learn from that and bring both brothers under our wings. In some instances it can both players better by having their sibling there helping to motivate each other. Good job Georgia on the early recruiting class so far!!

And quite honestly, I would rather have 2 World Series titles than 14 division titles. I would also rather say that my team has won 2 BCS National Championships rather than saying 82-22. End of story.

82-22 is like saying Bobby Cox guided the Braves to 14 division championships and the Braves were the best in baseball although they won only one World Series title during that period. To me to win 14 division titles and win only 1 WS is losing the battle. With the talent Cox had, the Braves should have would 4 or 5 WS titles. Therefore, Bobby Cox and the Braves were ultimately losers as a team. They did not achieve the objective but once in 14 years. And so are the 82-22 Bulldogs and their coach based on that standard. SEC titles and NC titles is what championship programs strive to achieve and measure themselves by, not the best record in the SEC for the last 8 years. Who has the best record in the last 9 years? 10? 11? 12? Who has the best record in the last 3 years? Who has won 2 SEC titles and 2 national championships in the last 3 years? And 3 NCs since 1996? Just came on this Georgia blog to rub in some more salt in the Gator bite. Just speaking the truth even if it hurts like a mighty Gator hootch chomp in the bulldog behind. Ouch!!!

What about all this committing way before the high school athlete is anywhere close to being in a position to sign? He still has his senior season to play, as well as others in his recruiting?, recruited? class. Who`s to say this is the player they have to commit to, or has to commit to them at the present time? I am sure there are other very good players who will have good senior season only to find out the school they would like to go to is filled up way ahead of time. How fair is that? To these so-called recruiters. Watching high school games during the season and offering “scholarships” late in the season up till Feb.1. That way all athletes and Universities have the same oppurtunity. By then you`ll know who the best players are.

Ryan Ayers did not get an offer from UGA. Ryan Ayers was behind three other DBs that UGA had on its list. Ayers would have gone to UGA had the other DBs made a commit to other schools; UGA got the DBs higher on the list, thus, Ayers had no UGA offer coming. That’s the bottom line. I see the nats have come back for their 7-8 year celebration of all that is good (good grief) at tech. In five years, Coach Johnson will be fired and the nats will be looking for another coach. Same thing happened with Pepper Rogers. Pepper won his first game vs UGA and won only one more before being fired. Rogers ran the wishbone. Johnson runs the wishbone. Soon, the nats will add “F” to “CPJ” as in “Fired Coach Paul Johnson”. LOL!

Like I’ve posted 4,281 times on this blog, it makes no difference how many kids commit to UGA–they’re still going to be mid-pack SEC because of their leadership issues.

Hell, you could put the Steelers in UGA uniforms and they’d still lose 2-3 games a year…

Chris in Indy

CMR is not the answer to your problem, UGA folks. You need a leader and someone that can make your team play like one.

Kids go to UGA with their eyes on the NFL because UGA has the history of putting people in the NFL. Problem is, someone forgets to tell them that they have to actually show up and play in the NCAA games first…

Hey Mitch,

Jealousy I think not. GT beat your star studded cast last year with recruits not even recruited for the system. Your recruits can have all the stars in world, but your coaches will squander any talent they have….

You dumbazz. The very reason you mites were successful was those guys recruited by Chan Gailey. You know the ones…or do you idiot boy. The talent from Chan’s top 10 class. When the garbage that Johnson has recruited finally gets on the field you are absolutely screwed. Of course we all know that before he has to play his own recruits he’ll be on the first thing smokin out of that GT cesspool. Paul’s not stupid…even if he does look it.
