All I can say is that you Technoids better recruit really fast players and don’t allow any of your prospects out after 5pm.. Also be good if you don’t allow them to read the AJC while in town.

If the majority of experts on this blog were so good at evaluating talent then we would probably not be seeing their posts. Remember these are kids and the hype on 95% of the offered players is just that , hype. Does anyone have an stats on how many 4 and 5 star players actually became impact players during their college careers? Go back 10 or 12 years. Also the same for the lower rated kids. Surely someone has tracked these stats.

The dawgs have to put everything together. They have the athletic talent and the coaches have the ability. It boils down to consistently working harder and remaining focussed for an entire year. CWM must keep his defense focussed for the entire season, not allowing one half of a game or one quarter allowing the game to get out of hand.

In terms of the Deon kid that committed from Florida, I say trust your coaches. This kid really impressed at some camps. It is not uncommon for underrecruited kids to explode late. Watch for other schools to approach him. I hear the kid is a great kid with a great deal of talent. He just was noticed late.

Word of advice to GT fans, go on and start working on your academic excuses because last year was a fluke. We dominated the first half and made terrible coaching decisions in the 2nd half. It won’t happen again. Yes, we were guilty of overlooking GT. When you dominate a team for a decade, you lose focus. It won’t happen again. Things are a changing. UGA is coming back up and that is from a 10 win season. In terms of Coach Bobo not being able to coach, how many points did UGA average last season? Yelp, another stupid post. When was the last time UGAy (AKA Ugly Giant A**holes) actually won a national championship. Wonder if there is any other school in the state that has won more National Championships than UGAy in the last 20 years? Forgotten in all of this is the farce of calling UGA a school. A drunken roach-infested redneck backwater piehole is more like it. They cannot even spell correctly (there is no “W” in dog, “Y’ALL”). UGA may be Tech’s rival in a few sports, but it will never be its rival in class and credibility.

I don’t understand? What difference does it make that a kid was being recruited by Buffalo, Duke and W. Michigan. UGA liked him and he committed. That is enough for me as a Dawg fan. If he is good enough to play in the SEC the coaches did their homework better than other SEC schools,IMHO. It is not like they beat out Heidelburg, Ithaca, Case Western Reserve and Scripts-Mudd.

As an alumnus of UGA, 1973 …………I too am howling with laughter AND SHOCK. UGA can only sign a vry small number of football players, like maybe 15? Why go after a kid like this? I am sure if Duke offered him, that he is a bright, hard working, fine young man. Can he even serve UGA as a solid LB or safety 3rd string backup???

This is why we are always lousy ( lately ) on D. We sign the all world players and they get arrested or quit. Let us go get some all state footbal players, that are smart, and can play in the SEC. Why go after a kid whose true size is even in dispute???
