He fell to the 10th round because, HELLO, he signed on with Auburn, and thats how the MLB draft works. If a team thinks a player may go to school or choose another sport, they select the player much later than their talent dictates. Just like sometimes the best player in the draft gets picked later in the 1st round because the teams don’t think they will be able to sign him, AKA the Scott Boras clients.

Jabba The Hut… I’m sure he’ll be just as effective in the majors as the last Parkview product that is languishing in right field for the Braves. Congrats to him to earning his payday, no hate there. Just don’t see him projecting to a MLB player – and most teams would agree since he fell to the 10th round.

Diehard Red Sox fan here. If Brandon continues to hit for power and is halfway decent in the OF, he will make the bigs. Boston has an AMAZING player development program. Looking forward to seeing him at Fenway in a few years. We need to replace David Ortiz and some other aging bats, this was a good decision on his part.

Nothing against Auburn. I’m sure it’s a good place if you’re a white family looking for a rural life. But as an African-American single male, I can’t think of any reason to spend my life at 18-22 years old there.
