UGA has to be one of the worst basketball programs in the nation. There so bad they’ve been to what….one NCAA tourney and how many years? And that NCAA tourney was fluke because they had to win the HORRIBLE SEC. They’re football team is overrated too, ha Paul Johnson!!! 45-42!!!

Being a GT Man, I always pull for GT in all sports,BUT for the life of me I cannot see why GT Fans and UGA fans never give any recruit (any sport) a pat on the back and wish them good luck, no matter which school they choose. UGA has 2 BCS bowl wins. One against F$U which had a WR playing QB and one against Hawaii. They won the division when UF was down. UGA is a solid program but I feel like they have to have a much more talented team than UF to beat them because St. Richt sure as hell isn’t going to outcoach Urban much less Paul Johnson. I hope UGA fans are happy being close because that is all you will ever be.

Again – Paul Hewitt brings in a top notch recruiting class and I will give him credit — he does a great job of bringing in highly regarded players. But in March, we will be complaining again, why can’t we win more games. No one has done less with more in college basketball than Paul Hewitt and he gets rewarded every year by the administration. I cannot understand this; but I am getting used to it.

2. UG < Miss
3. UK < LSU

To the person claiming that the SEC East is the toughest division in the country…you are showing your complete ignorance of college football. The Big XII south is FAR superior to SEC East. There might be some arguments as to what division comes in second but there is none when it comes to who is first. The SEC East has a world class program at UF, a regional power at UGa, two solid but middle of the road teams at UK and VU, a borderline poor team at USC, and an absolutely horrible team at UT. The Big XII South has 4 teams (OU, OSU, UT, and TTU) that would have absolutely demolished the number 2 SEC East team last year.

Foul shotting, I hope every player is in some gym shooting foul shots right now. All the recruits in the world can’t over come clumsy hands and foul shooting. Check out the close games last year and look at the percentage of foul shooting. Most high schools in the country can shoot better, more less the ACC. We look good coming off the bus but it stops there. Hewitt cannot coach point guards he has no idea how to use them, so unless he gets MJ next year that can overpower the bad coaching and is so good even Hewitt will allow him to play more that 10 minutes a game this team is dead on arrival.

Big deal. Mark Fox will have tremendous success at Georgia and “Tech” has not been any kind of distraction lately until Favors came along (who will be gone to the NBA after one season. Anyone who thinks he is going to hang around longer is a deluded moron). Rest assured, the LAST team that anyone at UGA is worried about is Georgia Tech. Georgia’s focus is on getting back to the NCAA tourney, and that can be done by at least getting to .500 or better with the SEC schedule. Mark Fox will not only do that, but he will recruit many talented players who want to take advantage of the new basketball facilities at UGA (the ones that will help lead many of his players to an NBA opportunity).
This “Daniel Miller” fire is out. Quit trying to fan a spark when there is none. No one cares! Maybe Hewitt should focus on trying to win a game in Athens (which has not been done in 40 years!)
