What a surprise. I don’t know any Tech fans that attended GT’s great academic institution. If GT was so great, you’d think more of their fans would have a degree from GT. If GT sold more season tickets, they also wouldn’t have to sell 3 game packs to Georgia fans every other year. I’m sure I’ll get a call asking me if I want to buy a 3 game pack this year for Georgia, Jacksonville State, and Wake Forest!

I’m not sure if I’ll buy the 3 game pack this year. I may wait for the buy 4 tickets, get 4 hot dogs, 4 cokes, and 4 GT t-shirts special!

TampaGator all good points and for the most part I would agree with you. Murray may prove to be a better pocket passer as he adjusts to the speed of the game. UF should be favored to win the SEC and the NC, however, UGA has enough talent to beat UF, they just have to put together two halves of a game and improve on D. UF is loaded and has leadership. Those two things make UF a very good team this year. UGA has to have leadership step up and receivers have to step up. Cox, Gray and Murray would all have had better stats if receivers had caught the ball before trying to run with it.

Answer me this, Brian – Coach PJ has announced, and the AJC has reported, that Tech will begin recruiting the same athletes as UGA. If, as you state, Tech is better and their athletes smarter, just how is it that you’ll start recruiting against UGA? After all, according to most Tech fans UGA recruits “dumb” athletes while tech recruits the “smart” ones. So now you’ll recruit head-to-head against us? Has PJ “lowered” the academic bar at tech?

Also, the AJC had an in depth report in December showing tech’s athletes scored 79 points higher on the average as UGA athletes. If you scored 1400 on your SAT, and your sibling scored 1321, does that make your sibling “dumb”? Is a person’s intelligence defined solely by their SAT score?

You bee fans need to give up the “better school, smarter athlete” myth.

How many of GTs “championships” are shared?

I mean they didn’t even win that one in 1990 outright!

So if you’re going to count a championship every time your name is listed on a poll, then you should also count UGAs “shared” titles in 1927, 1946, and 1968. And don’t forget the 2 we won outright in 1942 and 1980.

By my count that is 5 to 4. And any NERD knows 5 is more than 4.

I really like the 3 recruits so far. No incredible athletes, no prima donnas. Just some hard working guys that are going to work their tail off to win. I think Ga. may have been missing that toughness/hustle factor with such great talent. Glad to see us getting some of these guys. We still have 33 ESPN 150 guys on our list, and 11 UA guys, so we’ll probably still get some premium talent (nothing against these guys – just talking about some top 5 guys at their positions.). Only 12 scholarships to give right now – we are 25% done.

Brian Jones Tech Fan, yes it was a fluke, at half I thought the game was over and we had won, unfortunately for us so did our players. As it turned out Tech came back for the 2nd half ready to play and took full advantage of our lack of intensity. We should have won the game but didn’t, congrats on your win, but time is running out on your bragging rights. As for us not looking great in our spring game, I don’t think we had double diget fumbles, do you remember a spring game like that? We win more games that Tech including one against Tech in 09.

Tech fan…spring games have no impact at all on how teams do in the fall. Come on. Actually, I was impressed with a lot of what Georgia did today. They have some serious athletes on defense, especially that defensive end who constantly put pressue on the QB. Either he is really good or the OL for Georgia is bad news. The kid QB from Tampa is going to have trouble throwing out of the pocket, but he has serious talent, too. Cox will be challenged by both him and the Logan Gray in the fall, I think. I was not impressed with Cox. Georgia is going to be strong at RB and FB, for sure. I think they are going to be better than last year…but second to the Gators again. Too much experience and serious, serious skill in Gainesville for the SEC East next year.

First of all there is nothing wrong with being religious, but I really dont thank god gives a crap about football or any other sport for that matter. Enough of that for all the UGA fans calling our win last year a fluke it is getting funny 409 rushing yards on your own field is no fluke. The only difference between talent at uga and tech is that uga is much deeper. The is no athlete at uga that is better than dwyer or burnett. If you watched the spring game its going to be ugly year for uga. For the voice of reason if anyone knows anything about ga and tech football theygo 10 years on 10 years off on who is better team and from looks of things tech is going to be better for years to come. DAWG 88 do you think espn will ever pick uga agian after that suckfest. just for good measure 4nc to 1 nc who has more football heritage is pretty easy to see

Your program will never reach the status of UGA. Will ESPN ever even have a brief thought of doing a GT Spring game? You know the answer. Heh,heh,heh!
