Some of these people making these statements do not even know Blake. For you to come on here and say he can’t play qb is a mistake. He competes well. Where ever he ends up at he’s a playmaker. I believe that Anthony Flanagan (rest in peace) was one of the first black QB’s to start in the SEC back in the 70’s.
Signed to play BB at UGA, but still was a QB also.
Nonsense to say that UGA has something against black QB’s.
I believe we’re recruiting one from Virginia now.

bama12titles- our AD is black for crying out loud. Why does it even matter. Everyone wants to find racism in something. How about we get the best people, for the best posititions, regardless of race. If you consider that only 12 % of the population is black, and you look at the roster for any of these teams, you will see that if anything, there is a black bias, not white. And there are not going to 50% black head coaches either, that is just the law of statistics.

Bama has some guys at QB too already. Redshirt Freshman Star Jackson and incoming Freshman AJ McCarron. Blake will probably get a shot at QB but I would not be surprised to see him end up in the defensive backfield somewhere.

Really a silly choice, WV, UF, Mich would have been a much better choice for him if he wants to play qb. He isn’t a pro style qb and if he stays at QB and not effective by end of his 2nd year Bama will need his ship for the next great prospect. If the Bama fans don’t like that statement then they need to address their fans on internet recruiting sites that say that is how Bama’s program is operated.

I didn’t realize Billy Jack could see into the future and see that Aaron Murray will be the kind of kid that “only comes around every 20 years or so”. Billy Jack really is on crack to make such an incredulous statement. He probably moonlights as a professional qb sout.

And are we even talking about the same Aaron Murray out of plant high school in Tamps, Fl. Is this the same kid that passed for something like 60 yards on 8 of 25 passing and a couple of picks in the state playoff quarterfinals. Is that the same kid that comes along once every 20 years like a Joe Montana or Dan Marino?

I coached against this kid in the playoffs this year. He’s a terrific kid with a lot of heart and class. I do think he made the wrong choice. The spread at Michigan or WV, which he runs in high school, would have suited him better.

You freaking ignoramus. Alabama has 3 black head coaches now. Grant the new basketball coach and the track and field coach and the women’s basketball coach are black. How many black head coaches does UGA have you freaking idiot? If you don’t know what the hell you are talking about then just STFU!

Andrew Zow was treated extremely well. He was inserted in the 2nd half of a game his freshman year over an ineffective 5th year senior white qb. Zow threw an int that ended the game late but after that he was pretty much the starter the rest of his career. Once again, you don’t know what the hell you’re talking about.

You also forget about Walter Lewis who had a very successful career as a black bama qb and Danny Woodson who was not successful but at least was given a chance. Idiot!

Lastly, Zow was honored either last year or the year before at halftime of a big game I can’t remember which game but he led Bama onto the field also. I wonder why that was if he was treated so bad?

UGA OF 2001, Alabama has 2 other black head coaches beside Anthony Grant, the womens basketball coach and the mens track coach. Yes Alabama and Ole Miss were two of the worst
