Mack is a great running back name. The Mack Truck, Mack Back, on the Mack Track, The Mack Attack….so many possibilities. Also, good luck on choosing the right college. I hope you go to Georgia but in the end, pick one that that makes the most sense for you, your family and your future goals in life.

Love to have him in Knoxville, but with Brown and Oku on board now, he might be tough for us to get. The great ones don’t mind the competition though, so come on down, Mack.

Mack you definitely need to choose the school where you fit in best. You can get a good education at just about any school. You can win and got to the NFL at most schools. What you can’t get at every school is comfort and happiness. Make sure you fit in and would want to spend four years there even if you weren’t playing football.

Come to a system in which you can be one of 3 featured backs or wait around pretty much every other program for 2-3 years for others to graduate…

Brown is sporting an impressive array of offers, folks. Which schools do you think have the greatest need at running back that Mack Brown could likely fill perhaps in the fall of 2010? And which schools would most likely hold him back — at least as a freshman?

He would no doubt be redshirted his first year at GT, UGA, Oklahoma, Florida, Tennessee, and W.V.U.(Programs that currently have plenty of options at RB). He would immediately compete for playing time at Maryland, Rutgers, and Vandy. I doubt he would want to go to any of those previous 3 places. If he wants to play immediately he might consider Michigan, Auburn, or SC. He could always go to Florida or GT, take a redshirt, and benefit from either of those two amazing systems that he would thrive under(You could also include W.V.U. in that list but I personally think they’re on the decine).

Mack Brown come on down! You are the next contestant in “Who wants to wear a championship ring”! Florida would be a great fit for you because of your size, speed and athletic ability. I have read that the coaches down here are very high on your abilities and feel you would be a great fit in our offense, utilizing your talents in the backfield and in the slot. There are no mandated redshirt rules at Florida and as you saw last year, 2 TRUE FRESHMAN, Jeff Demps and Janoris Jenkins, earned STARTING roles on the NATIONAL CHAMPIONS!! In addition, Will Hill and William Green played significant roles on our team. When and how you contribute is up to you coming in being prepared and with the right work ethic and just let your ability take over from there. Love to see you wearing the Gator orange and royal blue and eventually a big fat ring!

Mack should get with Garrison Glass of Booker T. Washington,& go to the same school, so they can play together again at the next level as they where when they both started playing football at redan park.

I would love to see this guy go to UGA and stay in state. He could come in and make a difference right away. He does have quite a few offers from big name schools so, it`ll be tough to keep him here. He is an exremely talented player, seems like he has a good head on his shoulders, and I wish him the best wherever he choses to go. Go Dawgs!!

Raymond Sanders of stephenson is a way better running back then Mack Brown will ever be. Mack has no wiggle in his hips, he is a straight ahead runner. Raymond can do it all. When they went head to head last year. Raymond had 160yards to Mack’s 49 you do the math.

This goes to the coach let me start off saying this Raymond Sanders is a very GOOD RB but I was at that game when they went head to head Raymond did have 160yds to Macks 49 now keep this in mind they call a least 2-3 of macks big braeks back b/c of holding and etc…One thing that raymond have that mack dosen’t have is an O line and you can’t over look that fact that’s the truth. You will find out who’s the better back this season and when they play in college until than they are EQUAL to each other but Mack is the “TRUTH” and so it Sanders

Mack Brown is really good whoever says otherwise has never seen him play at all. The University of Georgia is Running back U and Mack Brown would have the chance immediately to make an impact if he signs with Georgia. NO One can say that he would not get the chance to play at Georgia that is not true Georgia every season uses 3 to 4 running backs. I have seen it time and time again. Its been awhile since Georgia won the nat’l title would be great to see mack brown & Co. help bring 1 home for our home state….Go Dawgs!

If you decide to come to Georgia you will have a very good offensive line to block for you to help open up lanes to run and eat up the defensive all day long at the line of scrimmage. Look at the talent we have been recruiting on the offensive line over the past 2 years alone they are really good athletes and men of character & thats the kind of people i like to be around.

To the truth, When Raymond and Mack go head to head it will be the same. Because Mack will not run over stephenson defense. They are both really good backs but Raymond is better period. I love Mack but he can’t create for himself.

Sanders has speed and quickness. Mack has power and speed. They both have vision. In college Sanders will only return punts. Mack will be a premier back. Know them both very, very well. Both of good kids. Mack brown will end up in the SEC at FLorida. His parents grew up 30 minutes from UF. His grandma and extended family still lives there. Sanders will not get a big SEC, ACC offer but will play Div 1 somewhere.

Man somthing is really wrong with you if you think sanders is just going to return punts. Don’t worry the ACC and SEC is on there way. If not they must be sipping on the same juice as you. Sanders is a big time recruit. The reason why everybody is on Mack is because of the combines that Mack has been to compare to sanders. Dont down the kid because he rather study then go to combines. Because you do know he is a honor student and Mack is not the sharpest knife in the draw.

To the coach, One more thing let’s compare ok Sanders play SOME WHAT like Reggie Bush fast, quick, and has agility ok. Now Mack brown on the other hand is more like Adrian Petterson Fast and with power and catch now if you look at the two who is better Hands Down Right you would have to go with Adrian Petterson. So there you have Grown Man vs Young man but don’t get me wrong Sanders is a BAD BOY !!!!!! Go Jaguars coming from an old SHS Jaguar. DA ” U ” (CDJ) is where Mack Brown came from :)

You know what?????? Nothing is really changing with recruiting this year. Tech has to not only beat out Georgia but these highly ranked kids are much more interested in schools like Alabama, Florida, Auburn, FSU, Tenn., South Carolina, UNC., Ole Miss etc. They are all better places to play football. They want to go to an impressive school. Just wait and see. All those players that Tech and Georgia are fighting it our over don’t mention Tech when they select their top three or five. Tech has cried bitterly about not getting good press from AJC. Is this the reason for this article?

Truth, you dead wrong to compare Mack Brown to AP. For one the thing the kid do not like to get hit. Yes Mack is bigger but he is not better. One more thing i would like to see that transcript that says he has a 3.5. Sanders has a 3.0 in AP classes.

Coach, I don’t know where you get your info from but its all wrong .I guess you only watch Mack B when they play against Stephenson b/c saying that mack brown shy away from contact is stupid. MLK runs M.B. inside pretty often enough oh and one other thing there is another running back that is the 18th back in the nation Storm Johnson that is an Damn good back as well that will be going to loganville this year and you need to subscribe to rivials .com to learn more about highschool football peace

Man Storm is another softhy. The one thing these kids have over sanders is size thats all. Like I said before if Mack dont have a whole to run through he cant hurt you. But it does not matter with sanders. Now you talk of storm if he”s that good why did he let the little white boy take his spot. I don’t want to hear buford is racist because if Mack or Sanders is there that never happens. Lets see if they do that to James Davis little brother.

Coach , You are going to have to do your homework (rivals.com)you say storm is another Softy come on be for real this kid bench max is 370 his max squat is 490 that dosen’t sound soft to me and he’s running an 4.5 in the forty @ 6′1 210lbs be for “REAL”.Coach you mentioned about James davis lil brother ok 1st he is coming in as a freshman with no real running back ahead of him and the white boy that was in front of storm dad contributed a lot of money.Money talk bull shyit walk along with a lot more of stuff .You also said that mack can’t run without a hole name a running back in college or in league that can run without a hole that’s why those big offensive tackles get paid the big bucks or did you forget. If Sanders don’t have any holes to run threw than he won’t have a career and he will be threw .Sanders is good but he’s not all that when he do get college b/c his lack of size he can’t carry the ball 20-30 times a game and stay health like mack or storm could and that’s the “TRUTH”

    P.S
Do you remember Theron Dudley if Kraigg was in the same year as theron he would have never saw the field and Kraigg lumpkin was one good Back . The year auburn had cadillac and ronnie brown can you tell me who ? there third string running back was ? If not it was Brandon Jacobs that plays for the Giants (remember do your homework )

OK and your point is. What I mean is that Mack can’t make nobody miss him. ANd as for storm who cares about how much he benches. Let me tell you somthing about weight room bullies. They suck on the field. And for your information Barry Sanders mad a living in create for himself. Sanders is 5′8 185 whats wrong with that. Oh by the way how big is LT, Emimmt Smith,Jones Drew, The williams kid from coralina, and Thomas Jones do I need to say more. Know you do your homework. Good backs are short and thick, sounds like sanders to me. Know there are times when big backs do well AP,Eric Dickerson, OJ but the majority are short thick backs. Do your research. And as for Theron Dudley he was good but gregg had the speed theron didnt.

No,ok and your point is. As far as barry name any other back in the last ten year plus can you say was able to do what barry did?(In a class by himself). you can’t as far as Emimtt it was mainly his o-line EVERYBODY knows that almost and back during that time could have did what emmitt did with the o-line he had .All of the backs you named are 5′10 except for 1 Sanders is 5′8 at best and the more weight he gain it’s possible he will lose some of that shake and bake. As far as storm let me tell you somthing about a weight room bulleyis that they stay Healthy T.O,RAY LEWIS,J.PEPPERS,M.BARBER,S.Merrian etc…..are all weight room bullies I don’t think any of the PRO Bowlers suck on the field as you put it be for real .If Kraigg was in the same grade as theron you would not know who Kraigg was did you know the brad lester was suppose to go to SHS but he didn’t b/c of Kraigg ddoes that make him less of a RB know Storm was smart as HELL for leaving and should have never left DEKALB COUNTY b/c he also played park ball at CDJ da U that the truth

Wow, over 30 post and know one answered the primary question of the post which was “which school should Mack Brown seriously consider and why?” In my opinion, Mack should seriously consider Florida, Georgia, and Alabama. Mack will be an excellent fit in Florida because they do not have a Power Back, currently Tebow performs that function. Florida is loaded with talented backs but there are all perimeter backs that will not run over anyone to convert a 3rd and two. Georgia is a good fit for Mack because they primarily depend on one back which will result in Mack getting plenty of carries. Also, depending on the quarterback situation, he may end up being the only offensive option making him the go to guy which plays into all running backs egos. Alabama is also an excellent fit because of their pro style smash mouth offensive running style. They recruited an excellent back from the 2009 class named Trent Richardson. I do not think Mack and Trent will compete for one spot. I thing Coach Saban will use a two back approach like Auburn did with Ronnie Brown and Cadillac Williams. Out of the three schools, I think Mack will lean more toward Alabama because he will not get enough carries in Florida because they spread the ball around and will probably used more as a short yardage back that has the added potential of breaking a short gain and taking to the house. AT this time Georgia does not have a proven quarterback. You must have a good QB if you want rule the SEC. Alabama will grow from the Utah experience and has an excellent chance of dominating the SEC and that is where I think Mack Brown will go.

    Coach,
During High School Football season, I watch all of the games that are played at Halford Stadium. During those games, three backs seem to have that “it factor”. They are Ken Malcolm of SW Dekalb, Raymond Sanders of Stephenson, and Mack Brown of ML King. Currently Ken is not on the same level as Raymond and Mack but I feel he is constantly improving and is on his way. Raymond Sanders is an exciting back to watch. He has great total field vision, speed, and elusiveness. It is very difficult to compare Raymond and Mack because they are totally different style runners and are coached differently. I do not think it is anything that neither one of them can do, it just one may do some things better than the other and vice versa. College coaches will not recruit then the same. If they are looking for a PRIMARILY North-South power runner that does not hesitate to hit the hole but also has the speed to make it to the outside, they will recruit Mack. If they are looking for a shifty runner that PRIMARILY cut-backs and change from East to West in an instant, but also has the ability to deliver a blow while running between the tackles, they will recruit Raymond. I think most colleges would like to have both of them as a dual back attack because they are complimentary. Together they are like thunder (Mack) and lightning (Raymond). The opposing defenses will not know what to do. If they pack in tight Raymond would easily beat them to the corner. If they spread out, Mack initial burst of speed is so quick he would run straight through the middle and be in the secondary before first contact.
So I guess the question is if they are both good backs, why does Mack seem to draw a greater portion of the Limelight? This is not Mack’s fault, and people should not attempt to degrade him because of it. Raymond does not have video on Rivals or ESPN. When colleges’ coaches look at his height and weight, he is instantly stereotyped as a ScatBack and several colleges will also entertain the thought of making him a DB. Again, this is not Mack’s fault; there is no need to hate. Last but not least, newspapers only have so much space to write their articles. Raymond plays on a team that has several Defensive stars that he has to share press with. If you are frustrated, think how Mack’s teammates feel. They have several good athletes like Cory Phillips and Cameron Myers but it is all about Mack Brown. If ML King realizes this before they meet Stephenson, You may want to bring your crying towel because it won’t be pretty. However, if ML King stays one dimensional and rides Mack into the ground, someone else on these posts will owe you some $$$.
I wish Raymond Sanders and Mack Brown well and hope they both get to go to the colleges of their choice and hopefully get to play on Sundays in the future.

Mack Brown would be an awesome fit in Florida IMo. When Tebow leaves and Brantley steps in, they will tweak the offense sort of like they did with Leak so he will get some carries out of the I and not just the shotgun. Makes no sense to scream a certain team is loaded because in the SEC, all of the teams he’s considered are loaded. No exceptions.

As far comparing Mack and Sanders, two totally different styles. Also, I took a look at Sanders on ESPN, and he is sooo tiny. Not a knock on his skill, but to say he is 5′8 is being quite generous.
