TV best bets with return of ‘Hot in Cleveland,’ season finales of ‘Boardwalk Empire,’ ‘Dancing With the Stars’

Most regular series are airing new episodes this week and two major series are closing shop this fall: ABC’s aging ‘Dancing With the Stars” Monday and HBO’s ‘Boardwalk Empire” Sunday.

Both series will be back next year.

And TV Land’s “Hot in Cleveland” comes back Wednesday for a fourth season although ratings are far below what they were when the show debuted a couple years ago.

MONDAY

“Bones” 8 p.m. Fox — A street artists plastering his work on a billboard falls into his glue — and onto a corpse.

“Dancing With the Stars” 8 p.m. ABC (15th season finale) — Surprise! It’s an all-female finale with Shawn Johnson, Melissa Rycroft and Kelly Monaco.

“How I Met Your Mother” 8 p.m. CBS — Who was the most notorious teenage delinquent?

“The Voice” 8 p.m. NBC — The top 8 perform.

“2 Broke Girls” 9 p.m. CBS — Max and Caroline try to raise money to rent a storefront for their cupcake business.

“Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” 9:01 p.m. ABC — Host Jenny McCarthy helps a Knoxville family.

“Hawaii Five-O” 10 p.m. CBS — McGarrett investigates a seductive therapist he believes killed her patient.

“Revolution” 10:01 p.m. NBC — The quest to rescue Danny means that Miles must meet with Monroe. The show is on break until March.

TUESDAY

“How the Grinch Stole Christmas” 8 p.m. ABC — Stealing gifts and decorations isn’t enough, Grinch!

“NCIS” 8 p.m. CBS — Tony gets jealous when Ziva makes plans with a mysterious man.

“The Voice” 8 p.m. NBC — Two more singers are cut, leaving six.

“Rizzoli & Isles” 9 p.m. TNT (third season fall debut) — Tommy and Lydia clash over custody of their baby.

“Dancing With the Stars” 9 p.m. ABC (15th season finale) — Eliminated couples will come back to reprise dances and a winner will be named.

“Mankind: The Story of All Of Us” 9 p.m. History — Genghis Khan builds an empire and the gun is invented.

“NCIS: Los Angeles” 9 p.m. CBS — A retired CIA agent is murdered.

“Leverage” 10 p.m. TNT (fifth season debut) — The crew targets a big-box superstore threatening to destroy a small town.

“Sons of Anarchy” 10 p.m. FX — Jax envisions a new direction for the club.

“Vegas” 10 p.m. CBS — Rizzo hires his former mistress.

WEDNESDAY

“Charlie Brown Christmas” 8 p.m. ABC — Too much commercialism at Christmas, Charlie Brown complained 47 years ago.

“Christmas in Rockefeller Center” 8 p.m. NBC — Al Roker and Savannah Guthrie host.

“Survivor” 8 p.m. CBS — Lisa Whelchel (“Facts of Life”) cut ties with nutty Abi last week and not a moment too soon.

“The X Factor” 8 p.m. Fox — The top 8 perform. Top vote getter last week: Carly Rose Sonenclar.

“Criminal Minds” 9 p.m. CBS — At attendee at a popular motivational speaker’s conference is murdered.

“Modern Family” 9 p.m. ABC — Mitchell reluctantly joins Cameron in a campaign to save an old tree in a park.

SNL Christmas” 9 p.m. NBC — Classic holiday sketches from years’ past.

“American Horror Story” 10 p.m. FX — Kit attempts to reunite with Grace.

CSI” 10 p.m. CBS — Brass discovers surprising facts about his daughter.

“Hot in Cleveland” 10 p.m. TV Land (4th season debut) — The ladies learn the identity of the baby who was left on their doorstep.

“Nashville” 10 p.m. ABC — Marshall pushes Rayna and Juliette to perform a duet.

“Love You, Mean It With Whitney Cummings” 10:30 p.m. E! (new series) — Cummings debuts a new talk show.

THURSDAY

“The Big Bang Theory” 8 p.m. CBS — Sheldon’s parking space gets reassigned to Wolowitz. Uh oh.

“Last Resort” 8 p.m. ABC — The crew celebrate Thanksgiving with the islanders.

“The X Factor” 8 p.m. Fox — Fifth Harmony and CeCe Frey are in danger of going home.

“Glee” 9 p.m. Fox — Rachel and Kurt enjoy a nontraditional Thanksgiving meal in New York.

“Grey’s Anatomy” 9 p.m. ABC — Bailey and Ben disagree over wedding plans.

“Person of Interest” 9:01 p.m. CBS — A husband and wife’s numbers come up at the same time.

“Burn Notice” 10 p.m. USA — Riley offers Madeline a deal in hopes of tracking down Michael.

“CSI: NY” 9 p.m. CBS — Lovato’s cover is inadvertently blown, which leads the CSI’s to investigate a Latin street gang she infiltrated.

“Say Yes to the Dress: Bridesmaids” 9 p.m. TLC — A bride’s utter lack of style sense frustrates her bridesmaids.

“Blue Bloods” 10 p.m. CBS — Danny investigates the murder of a college student who may have been dealing drugs.

WEEKEND

“A Bride For Christmas” 8 tonight Hallmark — A holiday bet prompts a man to pursue a woman who has sworn off serious relationships.

“Once Upon a Time” 8 p.m. Sunday ABC — Regina and Mr. Gold try to prevent Cora’s arrival in Storybrooke.

“Boardwalk Empire” 9 p.m. Sunday HBO (third season finale) — Nucky sacrifices a key asset to Rothstein.
