When “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” released a cast photo before the season started, a certain someone was missing: Kim Zolciak.
From all the evidence, she was already gone from the show before shooting had ended this fall.
“I was eight months pregnant and there was so much drama; I just had to walk,” Kim tells In Touch about her midseason exit from the hit Bravo series. “I’ve taken on so much in the past five years, but this was the final straw. My priority was the child inside me.”
What? She is giving an exclusive interview to In Touch and not to Life & Style, which has gotten all her exclusive wedding and baby photos?
Anyway, she declined to go on a trip to Anguilla with the other housewives because her doctor ordered her to stay put, given how advanced her pregnancy was. That would seem like a totally legit excuse but In Touch says the other ladies threw a fit about her frequent absences from their lives and she decided it was just time to cut loose.
Then again, the producers were probably tired of dealing with her not wanting to do much of anything or attend any event the other ladies were hosting, pregnancy or no pregnancy. The few times she has shown up for events, she clearly did not want to be there. She didn’t want to engage with the other women. She clearly did not care.
She gave us some fun times over the years (Big Poppa! Tardy for the Party!) but it’s clear that it’s over between Kim and “Real Housewives.” Bravo is shooting a spin-off show with her and without the other women. Her first spinoff earlier this year featuring her wedding did well enough to merit a second one.
In the meantime, remember Kim’s dad Joe? He was an avuncular, pleasant character on “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” a nice counterpoint to Kim’s whiny, spoiled self.
But she’s now in a public fight with her parents. First, her mother filed a request in court to see her grandchildren. Then Kim filed a counter-response saying that her kids don’t want to see their grandma. And now Joe tells TMZ that his daughter is a “pathological liar.” He told TMZ that she is not a good mother or role model, with four kids from three different daddies.
Holy public spat!
Now Kim has released her own statement to TMZ, expressing that she is “heartbroken and saddened” by her parent’s statements. In reality, she was probably cursing up a storm because 30% of her vocabulary consists of variation of the f-word.
