Sabrina who?

If you missed out on the Disney “Cheetah Girls’ franchise, Sabrina Bryan is just a pretty girl who has really great dance skills who somehow made it on “Dancing With the Stars: All Stars.” She came in seventh season five because so many people didn’t know her and her personality didn’t stand out.

That happened again tonight. For the first time that I can recall, the top-rated dancer was canned. In fact, she had the highest average score after seven dances with a 27.1. That means she averaged a 9 every dance with every judge. Amazing.

And to top it off, Bryan garnered a perfect score Monday night for her emotional rumba. “This is the true beauty of dance,” said Carrie Ann Inaba.

Her lack of fans did her in and she ended up coming in eighth. The judges looked stunned, as did Bryan. “This was my second chance. Last night was one of the most beautiful nights I ever had,” she said Tuesday night.

At this stage, there are no real bad dancers left. Kirstie Alley is probably the weakest on the technical front but makes up for it with her acting and emotive qualities, as well as her chemistry with Maksim Chmerkovskiy, who probably has as many fans as Kirstie. The lowest-scoring dancer was Emmitt Smith and he received a hardly shameful 26.5. (He was the season three winner.)

So now it comes down to fan bases as we get to the final seven. Who’s going to win? Kelly Monaco and Melissa Rycroft, I’d fathom, might be gone before the finals but it’s hard to guess who else might be vulnerable.

Good grief, lisa venable! Do you really think that the network would read this blog and even IF they did, your comment would be passed over. Drop the show – they won’t care.

I had to look up who Sabrina Bryan is, or rather was. Name recognition means a lot.

Its not right. Len’s constintly emphatizing on “this is a dance show”, so lets make it a dance show not a poularity show. Change the format so the best dancers dont go home first.

Unbelievable. A good dancer goes home and they keep K. Alley. She needs to go. She really isn’t a good dancer. The others are much better. She gets a pass. Acts like a clown begging for votes.
Get rid of her.

Shocking! Kristy Allen should have been eliminated four weeks ago. The judges are extremely critical of anyone who can really dance, but become quite effusive when Kristy can even complete her routine. If it is a dance contest, make it a fair one. Popularity should not count for 50% of the vote and the judges should have the final say as to who goes and who stays. It is becoming a complete farce. The only redeeming thing is that Wooden legs Bristol Palin is gone.

Shocking results tonight. My heart felt a huge sadness for Sabrina,
It brought me to tears, devastatingly unfair.
She did not deserve to go.I just don’t get it.
She dances from the heart, so beautiful in every way.
There needs to a better way of judging,on merit not popularity!

First time I ever comment ,Sabrina deserved to stay she truly has talent and is the only possible winner .the producers judges etc. should be ashamed of themselves it puts the credibility of your show in question .Those that are there as professional dancers acting as judges should step to the plate and show their knowledge of dancing by as they have done before because of their professionalism seen what is wrong and fixed it. If not there credibility is shot, you will loose many viewers. Isn’t it all about ratings!!!!!!!!

Not that it matters–and I’m embarrassed to say I’m reading this….but if you guys were so knowledgeable about this show, wouldn’t you know her name is Kirstie, not Kristy? Gotta do something about my sleep habits…..

People, people, it is and always has been a popularity contest. The “best” dancer has never one. If it was truly a dance contest you would not let the public vote. What do we truly know about ballroom dance. Just get over it…

I will stop watching this nonsense show with all corrupted judges. Who eliminating the leaders, who instead deserve high prices?
Carry Ann is the first who should be eliminated!

I don’t know if it’s the network picking who leaves or if it is the fans who vote are really this bias. This show is on a path to be American Idol.

@Rickster. I didn’t want to make it obvious who got booted off by posting a photo of them.

As great a dancer as Sabrina is…sadly…that is all she had going for her. Kirsty had her crazy personality…and Maks…compare the serious, emotional team of Sabrina and Louis to them and I get a clearer picture of why they did not have the fan base/votes to keep them on…even tho she dances like a pro. America wants to be entertained…Sabrina was just too sweet with no big star personality. She just didn’t get the votes either time…that is not the DWTS producers fault. I think she is great and probably the best dancer by far…but I didn’t vote for her…I just like more pop in the personality in my dancer…and looks like I am not the only one.

Though it’s called Dancing with the stars, in actuality it’s Who’s the most popular or hottest star. Until they change how the voting happens that’s the way it is. I understand in concept letting the people vote, but it’s us who have it wrong, they should solely do the voting.

I also think it would be very interesting to know who complains but didn’t vote? I do also think they should have put the voting off til next week and sent two home due to the East Coast storms; however, the way its looking the folks there won’t have viewing/ voting capability next week either. Prayers for them…prospective for all if us not living their nightmare. Relax folks…it’s just entertainment…if you aren’t enjoying it, turn it.

This was such a shocker, and I just couldn’t believe it when I heard about it this morning. Sabrina is such a talented dancer, and she had just gotten the first perfect score. Although, from talking with a few coworkers at DISH it seems like people vote for the person they are rooting for and not their favorite dance of the week. I was so sure that it would either be Kelly or Kirstie eliminated this week that I didn’t even tune in last night. Thankfully, I was able to watch the episode off of Primetime Anytime on my Hopper. Having it record everything on during primetime on the four major networks is such a lifesaver sometimes. I feel so bad for her because she was giving her all and doing the best out of anyone, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the other celebrities’ fan bases.

Never should have been an elimination this week. Approximately 1/4 – 1/3 of the audience had no way to vote due to Sandy. Poor decision by DWTS brass to discount that situation.

Going ahead with the elimination when so many people could not vote was not fair to the dancers. DWTS is going to lose their audience if it does not become more about dancing than popularity. It defeats the work ethic of the dancers and mediocrity is the end result. The judges need to have the final say with input from the public. Sabrina (and I have no idea who she is) danced so beautifully on Monday; it moved me to tears with her moving interpretation. Something is really wrong when the top three scorers end up as the bottom three. They need to fix this problem if they want viewers.
