1160/WCFO-AM has picked up Glenn Beck from 9 to 11 a.m. starting as early as Friday but definitely by Monday, October 8.
Beck, who was airing from 9 a.m. to noon, was taken off Atlanta airwaves last Friday when 640/WGST became Hispanic sports talk. He had been with GST in that time slot since 2007.
Jeff Davis, who runs the station, said he will cut an hour from Imus and an hour from Laura Ingraham to accommodate two hours of Beck. Beck is one of the top syndicated talk show hosts in the country behind Rush Limbaugh (now at AM750 and 95.5FM News/Talk WSB) and Sean Hannity (also on WSB).
“He’s a big name. He’s well known,” Davis said.
Talkers magazine ranks him as the ninth most influential talk show host on radio and estimates he draws at least 8.25 million listeners a week.
On TV, after leaving Fox News, he has been doing an Internet-only distribution but recently recently returned to TV through Dish Network.
