Rush Limbaugh, the most popular radio talk show host in America for more than two decades, is moving to AM 750 and 95.5FM News/Talk WSB.
Limbaugh will take WSB’s noon-to-3 p.m. weekday time slot starting Monday. Oct. 1.
“When you have the biggest talk personality on the biggest news/talk station in Atlanta, I expect the chemical reaction will be positive,” said Ben Reed, Atlanta market manager for Cox Media Group, which includes The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “Our listeners will benefit from it.”
Limbaugh has been on news-talk 640/WGST-AM since the late 1980s and consistently has been the station’s biggest draw.
For WSB, Limbaugh’s arrival means several changes to its weekday lineup:
- Syndicated talk show host Neal Boortz, now based primarily out of Naples, Fla., will see his daily stint cut back an hour. He will be on the air from 8:30 a.m. to noon. Boortz is retiring in January and will be replaced by businessman and former presidential candidate Herman Cain, who had already planned to do three hours a day.
- Consumer advocate Clark Howard, who has been with WSB radio since 1991 and is now heard on more than 220 stations nationwide, is moving to the 8-10 p.m. slot from his current 1-3 p.m. time period. Howard — who recently began co-hosting an HLN TV news program from 5-7 p.m. weekdays called “Evening Express” — will still tape his Atlanta-based radio show from 1-3 p.m. because other markets will continue to run it live. He explains the changes on his popular website www.clarkhoward.com.
- Syndicated radio and Fox News host Sean Hannity’s program will air live from 3-5 p.m., but WSB will be adding a news program from 5-7 p.m. Erick Erickson, who runs the website RedState.com will be the show’s host/commentator. Hannity’s third hour, from 7-8 p.m., will be tape-delayed (Erickson has been hosting a talk show from 6-8 p.m.).
- Local talk show host Adam Goldfein gets pushed two hours later to 10 p.m. to midnight.
- Syndicated financial expert Dave Ramsey also gets moved two hours later and will start at midnight instead of 10 p.m.
WSB, which ranked ninth in Atlanta Arbitron ratings in August, has lost some steam since All News 106.7 (WYAY-FM) hit the airwaves in May.
“Summer is usually very tough for news talk stations,” Reed said, “so I don’t panic when I have a month that dips in the summer.”
WSB’s new 5-7 p.m. news program will try to counter that.
“Atlanta depends on WSB for news, weather and traffic information, and now WSB will provide even more,” Reed said.
Limbaugh has remained a durable powerhouse in radio despite controversies he has faced over the years. He is heard on more than 600 stations nationwide and draws more than 14.75 million listeners each week, according to Talkers magazine. Hannity is the nation’s second most popular radio host, with at least 14 million listeners a week.
WGST, which was a soft rock station in the early 1970s, went all news in 1977 and morphed into news/talk in the 1980s.
Howard, Boortz, Hannity and Ramsey were all personalities previously on WGST, which was competitive with WSB in ratings in the 1990s but now lags far behind. WGST ranked 21st in the August ratings.
Word is that WGST has laid off several people today in preparation for a likely format change. Right now, while Rusty Humphries is normally airing, WGST is running a Glenn Beck repeat. (He normally airs from 9 a.m. to noon.)
“I think I speak for a lot of people who used to work at GST to say that this is a very very sad day to see this happen,” said Mike Rose, who worked at the station from 1985 to 1998 in roles including producer and program director. “It was a great operation, a family-like atmosphere. It cultivated a lot of the great performers on radio today.”
The two likely formats available are syndicated comedy or Spanish sports talk, said Eric Seidel, who was station manager from GST from 1986 to 1997 and developed Howard and Hannity. “Hannity was a diamond in the rough when we found him and he got his radio legs with us,” Seidel said. And Howard was an accidental talk show host who started covering travel as a travel agent and adjusted into talk show work with Seidel’s help.
The station was ahead of its time when it was simulcast on FM from 1993 to 200 at 105.7 and its ratings were competitive with WSB for a time. Losing that simulcast hurt the station’s power, which slipped steadily throughout the 2000s as its core listeners moved further outside its AM grasp and outside the Perimeter.

Barf. Adam Goldfein is my current favorite on WSB and I’ll never get to hear his show anymore (have to hit the hay earlier than 10pm). Guess I’ll be heading to another station during noon-3pm. Rush is so stale.

Good idea reporting the news from 5-7 during rush hour. But that’s just my opinion. You have to compete with the new stations. Good call on that one at least.

Let’s face it, WGST hasn’t been the same since they dropped The Kimmer. The station lost all of it’s original personalities (who actually had personality!) so their demise in the ratings is their own fault!
And I love all these comments about how hate-filled Limbaugh, Hannity, etc., are followed by disparaging remarks! Pot, meet kettle.
Of course, we all know that only conservatives are hateful. Harry Reed, Nancy Pelosi and President Obama have NEVER said anything hateful about anyone who disagrees with them. No-o-o-o-o-o! (Insert sarcasm emoticon here.)

Atlanta radio has been through so many changes lately (some good, some bad) that if you had been out of town for a couple of months, you wouldn’t recognize the radio landscape anymore. I don’t know who the heck these companies are listening to (consultants who claim to be “experts”), but they have alienated their listeners now for years. Even satellite radio is now screwing up with commercials on paid radio (they lost their #1 selling point when they started doing that- I resented paying nearly $15 a month to listen to viagra ads and dumped Sirius XM).
The major media companies just don’t get it! Folks wouldn’t have turned to their ipods in their cars if you had given them what they wanted years ago! You turned them away! Do any of you honestly know anybody who ever got to do an Arbitron book? Who was getting these books anyway? The unemployed folks who were stupid enough to answer their phone? Those with purchasing power were out working!
The one bright spot I didn’t see coming was All News 106.7- the afternoon shift with Greg Black and Melissa Carter is a home run IMHO. Very enjoyable. I wouldn’t want to listen to all news all day, but for an avg commute time, it’s quite nice. WSB is toast. And when Cox took away Oldies over 10 years ago and didn’t expand the songs you played, you alienated all the baby boomers. Good riddance WGST and WSB. The only one who gets my vote is 106.7 and my mp3 player. You build a station and a format that anyone with half a brain will want to listen to and it will be a hit. Build it and they will come. A little tweaking with some of the other shifts earlier in the day on 1067 and you have a huge winner there for news. But a decent music station in Atlanta is a distant memory.

Complained earlier about Rush moving to WSB. I’ll never be happy with it, but I do recall a time when I liked WGST more (Boortz making fun of WSB in 1989 when he was on WGST). I guess 640 might be in play if they replace it with something interesting… uh, not Spanish. I laughed about all the FM stations in turmoil because I can get music so much easier in other ways (iPod, etc.). AM radio in Atlanta has always been okay with me and this is the first time I’ve been a little bummed with the changes.

Sending Clark Howard into nighttime so WSB can run Boortz (then Herman Cain in 2013)/Rush/ and Hannity for 8 hours straight – pretty hard core with no cleansing with Clark Howard mid-day
The right wing blather has started to bleed into the morning news as well and this is more of the same- since WSB is all in with right wing radio during the day I am all in with 106.7 for good for my local news

The changes to 920/640 aren’t anything new. This station has quite a history of missteps. Letting the morning news (Tom Hughes) crew go, letting Neal Boortz and Clark Howard get away. Then there was Planet Radio, Ed Tyll, Freddy Mertz, Brian Wilson, etc. For those who wanted a break from Sean Hannity you had Kim Peterson on the air but he vanished about the same way the current occupant of the 3PM time slot has. The signal cannot be heard OTP, even on their weak FM signal in the NE region of Atlanta.
I wish Neal Boortz well in his retirement and Hope that Herman Cain can get the job done. It won’t be the same for Atlanta radio after January 21.
Should Herman tire I respectfully submit the name of Jim Quinn as a more than suitable replacement. “Quinn and Rose” on Sirius XM.

You know, I haven’t listened to Rush in years, but “hate spewing Limbaugh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”?
As usual, no specific example. Usually boils down to “I don’t like what he says. Waa! Waa! Waa!”
As opposed to the always-talking-love to the other side Randi Rhodes, who got a one week suspension for calling for the assassination of a sitting President. Don’t remember that, do you libs? She is a nationally syndicated (liberal) radio host. But when some nobody yayhoo in NC says something like that about the ONE, we get international headlines.
And speaking of international, how about the lovely columnist at the Guardian(?): John Wilkes Booth, Lee Harvey Oswald, where are you now? That went pretty much without comment as well.

It’s truly unfortunate that a major city like Atlanta has such lousy radio choices. Too bad about Clark; he was the last of the non-political talkers on the dial, and many folks relied on his good advice. I agree with an earlier poster: Erick Erickson should have taken the morning slot. He’s a better choice than Herman Cain, who’ll likely not last a year. I’m thankful for (and support) WABE, and I hope that All-news 106.7 hangs in there long enough to build an audience.
I’ll admit to not listening to any of the music stations much. When I do listen, it seems as if the playlists are very homogenized and repetitive.

Why does Clear Channel CEO John Hogan have vendetta against Atlanta and specifically WGST? Ever since this local boy became CEO, he has done almost everything in his power to run the entire Atlanta cluster into the ground.
Need proof? How about the hiring of Randall Bloomquist? How about the constant format changes?

The Tea Baggers have done in what once was at least someting you could stomach every now and then. An embarrassment for WSB and another black eye for Atlanta. Misinformation peddlers all.! Boortz;Cain; Savage; Hannity; and Limbhurger. Clark Howard outwardly is the only decent show they have going for them. Oh! I forgot. Sometimes it’s best not to go after the ad dollars. What a disgrace….replacing a guy like Clark Howard – who actually contributes something to this world helping people avoid scams and save money – with an ego-maniac like Rush Limbaugh who is a walking scam lying to listeners and pandering to their most base fears and prejudices (which obviously sells). Ludlow Porch is rolling over in his grave, WSB.

The solution is obvious. WGST needs to go progressive and bring on Mike Malloy, Stephanie Miller, Ed Schultz, and Thom Hartmann. They’re not going to win on right wing talk – WSB has the bucks to buy what they want (the Super PAC of local radio, let’s say). They need to counter punch. And for balance, bring back Kim Peterson to bitch about the rest of the schedule. He was loony, but funny. This would get them back into the game quickly.

Really crazy stuff. Ramsey to oblivion would be a better move, bring C2C over to 750 so you can actually hear it. Folks that wouldn’t care for it aren’t up that time of night anyway. Also think Eric is Neal’s heir apparent. Herman won’t last. Should lose Hannity altogether, he gets enough airplay on TV, and keep Clark on in the afternoon. Anyway, big mess right now.

Its a shame that a City the size of Atlanta doesn’t have a non-bias local talk show during prime hours. I’ve listened to talk radio in Atlanta for over 20 years and it’s a shame to see what has happened. I’m not a right-winger, nor am I a liberal, I’m a truth seeker and I care about my city. I pay attention to your fearless leader Rush and hear about gems like this
“Rush Limbaugh said Wednesday that voters should ignore “bogus” swing-state polls that show President Barack Obama pulling away from GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney, blaming pollsters for “oversampling” Democrats and accusing them of “trying to get this election finished” before the debates by “suppressing your vote and depressing you.”
http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0912/81711.html
I question why anyone regards this sort of propoganda as something worth programming for 8 hours straight each day if you also try to program morning drive time (and now afternoon drive time) with supposedly unbiased “news” programs while you play to only half of the potential listeners for the “news” programs from 8:30 to 5

No longer: The transformation is complete, WSB is officially a full time HATE Radio Station, engaging in Republican Propaganda:. Hate and Greed 24/7. Millions of dollars in Free airtime and poliitical contributions to the Republican and Tea Party. Smearing, slurring and slandering democrats, Democrats and the poor. Way too much hateful, extremist, right wing talk radio down here. And way too many stupid people end up getting brainwashed to vote against their own economic interests. Newsflash: Limbaugh and Hannity don’t believe half the crap they talk about on the radio. They do it to drive ratings up.
It would really be nice to get some thoughtful, progressive talk radio down here. It’s disgraceful that right wing crap has a monopoly on the entire market, but I guess that happens when you have conservative companies like Cox and Clear Channel controlling the entire radio market. Disgusting.

Question? Is this 1 OR 2 flips? Are the AM and FM stations going 2 continue to simulcast the same station, or are they going back to being 2separate station? If so, maybe oldies can return on the FM signal! Either way, this is stupid. Itend to lean mre to the right, but I can/t stand Rush. Sean and Neal are to preachy lately. Loved them when they were just local talk show people. It seems as if they are pushing the hometown boy(Clark Howard) out to the pasture. Hey Really, thank you for using the typical liberal tactic of demonizing the messenger. Rush suffered severe pain from losing his hearing and became addicted to the painkiller, like many other good people have. Have you ever actually listened to his show ? He speaks the truth and exposes all the liberal lies that are covered up by the blamestream media. You probably still believe that the murder of our ambassdor and 3 others was because of a YouTube video. You probably have never heard that Oblamer was not a “rock star” professor, as Time magazine put forth in 2008, but was actually an un-tenured, part time “lecturer” who received dismal reviews from his students.

This is unbelievable. WSB is no longer a “news” station, just a right-wing propaganda tool. I used to love to listen to Boortz, followed by Clark. But Boortz has become insufferable (all Obama-bashing, Naples-name-dropping all the time), and now Clark is relegated to nights and Goldfein (whose show is pretty good, actually) gets the bedtime slot. Did I already say “unbelievable”?
Time to get rid of the WSB presets – I’ll follow Jamie Dupree on Twitter, and watch Clark on HLN – and give myself satellite radio for Christmas.

WSB picking up Rush is a great move. This about marketing and advertising sales..When you have the #1 and #2 talk shows in the country with over 28 million listeners, this is a no brainer. Cox still own the left wing AJC rag, so all this nonsense about Cox moving to the right is nonsense. This is pure economics. Management may disagree with Rush and Hannity on political views, but even WSB knows when you land the number one talk show, their ad rates just went to Pluto and they’ll be laughing all the way to the bank.

Having grown up in Atlanta and worked in this radio market years ago.”Welcome South Brother” (WSB) is the example why some call for the return of the Fairness Doctrine” For a progressive city the likes of Atlanta this is the trash that’s put out on it’s 50 thousand watt clear channel radio station.I stopped listening to radio in this town 10 years ago. ‘A shame about GST, its days are truly numbered! From the late ’20s as “The Ga. Tech” station to this fiasco. I was a loyal GST listener at Tech from ‘63 to ‘68, whenever I drove through town on trips, and when I moved back permanently in ‘77. The day I rolled into town looking for an apartment, they changed to the news/talk format (Sat., Oct. 1 1977). Loved the Tom Houck/Dick Williams shows, that gal on late-night, and Al Ciralto calling Tech games!
Hope Kimmer collected all his severance pay by now, ’cause the coffers will be empty soon.

To relegate Clark Howard to a night time slot in his home market is awful for him and his loyal listeners. Kick Hanity to the curb and let us have Clark. Just wow. I guess no more WSB for me. They serioulsy decided to get even red-der! Bump Clark, slide in the most foul, racist counterproductive voice in the country Limbaugh. Keep the second most foul Hannity, and bump the only local voice Goldfein?
WSB now has the trifecta, the red-dest, meanest, most racist hosts in the land–Hannity, Limbaugh, and Erickson. Great.
That station has now lost all credibility. They clearly want to attract only a certain kind of listener–the kind that doesn’t look anything like me. The only quality shows they had–or at least those that were about more than politics–Clark and Ramsey have essentially been given the shaft.
Something is going on in Georgia, but I’m not sure what. At one time this state was somewhat moderate, we had Democratic governors and even voted for Bill Clinton. The state thrived then. Since Tornado Bush touched down though, the state has gotten redder and redder and we’ve been faltering ever since. Something has happened to our water or something. I’m not sure, but I know I’m officially done.

WGST had its heyday, and even though I don’t mostly agree with Hannity (nor with Kimmer back then, tho he could be funny), for WSB to now pick up the likes of Rush and the others is unfortunate.
Can you imagine how much more reasonable and kind people in this country would be if they didn’t listen to Rush and Hannity et al spew hatred for three hours at a time? The demise of civility in this country is directly proportional to the time these type shows have been on the air. How do you people listen to that mess all day!? SO much angst, anger, viciousness, etc. Sad. I won’t be listening to WSB.

Only a democrat wouldn’t understand WSB wanting to fill their schedule with the most listened to talk shows. I like Boortz,.but after him I turn it off. Cain will not last 3 months after Boortz is gone. I have no idea why they picked him as he is a wretched as a replacement host and the idea of him covering 3 and a half hours a day,5 days a week…is laughable. While I am sure he is a nice guy, his ignorance on certain subjects is embarrassing to the point that I can hear Jaime Dupree cringe every time they are on the radio together.
I can not stand Limbaugh and Hannity and now that they are on back to back means WSB is off for the rest of the day. Too bad as I used to tune back in every now and then for Adam Goldfein but that isn’t happening ever again. Looks like it is 88.5FM for some good music for the rest of the day.
I guess after Boortz leaves,WSB will be off my radio forever. So long and thanks for all the fish.

The reason both GST and SB did so well in the 90s was because of the LOCAL talk programming – SB with Boortz, Howard and deep local news and GST with Hannity, Kimmer and deep local news.
Rush? C’mon WSB – you used to be one of the great radio stations in the world. Y’all can do much better – get creative. I know what Rush is going to say before he says it and he argues like a middle schooler – boring.

I have listened to WSB and Boortz for years, and I echo all the comments about him leaving and how he’ll be missed. Even when I moved away from ATL I streamed their station. I do agree with the comment(s) that I wish Erick Erickson was taking Boortz’ spot, not replacing, because no one will do that. I hope Hermain Cain can keep my attention, otherwise I don’t know what to listen to while he’s on. I’m excited that Rush is joining because I’d switch to the “ex-wife” @ 12:30 and listen there to Rush. Sadly I had to miss Clark, but oftentimes I’d switch back just to get my Clark fill. I do wish you would’ve put Clark in Hannity’s place, because I am so sick of his three-hour advert for his TV show. Why does he have 14 million listeners? All he does is repeat Boortz and Rush. Lastly, excited about the Erick Erickson move…yeah!!! one less hour of hot-air-Hannity’s advert!

I can’t say I’m a fan of this move either and told WSB so on Facebook the other day when the news popped up. Not that they really care what I think one way or the other. I understand you need to change things around to compete with the all news station, but this is just too much. WSB had what I thought in my opinion was a nice balance of programming. Guess I’ll be listening to something else from 12-3 like everyone else has said. And to all the WGST employees that this move put out in the cold, I wish you well and hope all of you land on your feet quickly and don’t have to struggle long to get something else in the business.

3. You want me to speak English.

I can’t stand Hanity. Stopped listening to Limbaugh years ago. Have always like Clark Howard, and now he’s been sent to the dungeon. Back when WSB was mostly news, traffic and weather it was the best. Over the past 10 years or so it’s gotten worse and worse. Now for news weather sports and traffic we have 106.7. They finally got back in the game with the new morning guys and rusty. I always skip mr conspiracy beck like bad rash. Now they just hit the wall, without rush there is no need to even check it out. To all the libs who don’t understand “Capitalism”—WSB wants the strongest line-up for their revenue stream (I know, WHAT a concept that is)! ALSO, those that don’t approve of these changes have the option to listen elsewhere. I suppose it is too bad that AIR AMERICA was not successful—perhaps their listenership and corresponding lack of revenue $$$$ was their demise?
Anyhoo, I get real enjoyment reading the moans and groans of those that I would venture have not even listened to those “Right Wingers”.

So it was Rush’s switch that precipitated all the firings! I thought maybe Rusty had failed in some ratings goal. They added Merlino to the morning line up to strengthen that. I guess for a bunch of cheap skates they were spending a lot of money with questionable results.
Im almost happy that its over. I was growing weary of Rusty’s day trips and all the interviews with all his BFF’s. Didnt they do this 6, 7 years ago with the Kimmer and Tom Hughes? Manageent over there a little schitzoid?

random info.. Clark Howard hasn’t been an employee of WSB in probably 20 years. The Clark Howard Show originates at WSB, but he purchases the time that it airs. Its probably a break for him since night time probably costs less than day time to purchase, even though he will get much larger coverage at night than during the day. I will miss WGST.. it was my first exposure to talk radio back in the late 70s, early 80s. When the truth comes out, it will be interesting to learn how this all took place. FWIW.. love him or hate him, most likely AM radio as it exists today would not be here without Rush Limbaugh.. he is credited with saving the service.. which is a good thing.

Moved out of Atlanta, and threw away the maps of the state and region–o longer cove rig any do in DIxie, unless it’s some GOP-Tea Party nutty stuff, or corporate pressers.
Don’t underestimate the dumb audiences, though–just harp about socialism. abortion, government schools, apologizing, or other silly crap, and screw the working class.

I was HORRIFIED to learn that you will be carrying Rush Limbaugh, that disgusting purveyor of lies and hatred. Remember, WSB does NOT own the airwaves. You are licensed to act in the public interest. Airing Rush Limbaugh’s extreme talk is destructive, intentionally inflammatory, divisive and in no way serves the public interest. To the contrary, it only adds negativity and conflict to public discourse. I will NEVER listen to WSB radio as long as you have him on the air. WSB just gave me the final two reasons to completely eliminate them from my listening- adding Rush and moving Clark to tape delayed night status. Sad decline of a southern institution.

A very sad day for me. For years, I didn’t have to move my radio dial from morning drive with Tom Hughes all the way to my drive home with Dennis O’Hare at 6:00 with local news. From “wake up to the world with news radio 92″ to being the home of the braves and listener luncheons with the Kimmer and Snake Davis, the station was the the most enjoyable and informative station I had ever listened to. This is what happens to an organization with poor leadership that has no vision and no real appreciation for their listenership. They had a real niche in the talk radio market here in Atlanta and blew it.

Boooooo! After years of listening to boortz for my right side adjustment (although he has gotten a little too rush-like of late), then at night watching Rachel maddow for my left adjustment…. Clark! He is my center! My warm fuzzy! He makes me smarter…..and then I get to sound smarter when I give his advice out. I am suffering his shortened hours already, now all hope is lost! Can’t tune to radio so late….boooo!
Sadly, I just replaced the station on the lock.

…I remember also when GST was kickin butt…Rush and then the Kimmer…of course I would always listen to Bortz on WSB till12 and flip to Rush….but when they got rid of the Kimmer…that was the day ” that Dixie (began) to die)……..Loved the KIMMER…he was the best thing on in ATL….where is he these days?

LIBS always seem to get so incensed over truth….when confronted with the truth about anything, especially Hussein Obama, they all go ballistic…….Clark Howard has always been nothing but irritating for me…and I loved in ATL for OVER 14 yrs….BORING………..and his financial advise is terrible…he knows NOTHING about financial issues….a great pretender…follow his advise and LOSE money…
I miss THe Kimmers Spoof on Clark Howard was always so hilarious……..perhaps he also told the truth too much…. nice grab WSB…..

Since your only useful radio program was Clark Howard, and you have moved him to a time when no one listens to the radio, I will no longer ever listen to WSB. Sean Hannity is bad enough……sorry about what has become of your station.

Seriously? I’m very put out. I planned my errand running so I would be in the car noon to three to hear Clark Howard. I’m sick to death of Rush Limbaugh. His retoric has been reduced to sound bites that are so canned that I can’t hit the off button fast enough. I feel that way about Sean Hannity too – and I’m a Libertarian. They are all so ‘one note’. I’m so frustrated that we can’t have a small break in the day to hear some sanity from Clark. I’ll be downloading audio books to entertain and inform me while I’m driving cause WSB is now off my list.

Looks like WSB mgmt saw the same thing I did. The likely replacements for Boortz are not very good. Ericson whines and Cain isn’t good on his feet. He’s a great “do’er” but not good at off the cuff chatting. Putting Clark in the 8-10pm slot is a travesty and WSB needs to juggle the lineup again when Boortz retires to get Clark Howard on during the day. When Boortz is gone, they just need to kill the show and air Limbaugh… who I’m not a huge fan of… My WSB listening days are likely over.

Clark at 8pm? I’ve been listening to Clark on my commute home for years. Guess I’ll switch to a music channel now and watch Clark on TV.
Bad move WSB!

I will not be listening to WSB Radio anymore. Can’t stand Rush Limbaugh. While Neal Boortz is, of course, very opinionated, he is not judgmental regarding such topics as gay marriage, abortion, etc.
And what a horrible slap in the face to Clark Howard. A kind, decent man getting slammed under the bus by the hate-filled Limbaugh. Way to go WSB Radio. It’s been nice, but I am saying so long.

I’m going to miss listening to Clark Howard at 1-3 pm each day. It’s the only time I can listen to him. What a shame for all his listeners. I thought the lineup was good as it was. I could listen to Sean Hannity, Neal Boortz and the other hosts, too. Now, the timing is inconvenient.

The good thing about this is that I discovered 106.7 FM. I used to listen to Clark Howard on the way home to catch the traffic reports. When I started falling asleep to Rush I scanned the channels and changed my preset button to 106.7 all news. Thank you programmers at WSB.

640/WGST-AM as well as Macy’s have decided having a foreign influence is a must because American citizens are not spending enough money with them. Macy has Hespanic Month. I guess that’s a perlude to Italian, German French and Palistinian month.
640/WGST-AM has decided to broadcast in a foreign language. No, not Italian,German,French or English ( the language of opportunity in America} FOLLOW THE DOLLAR FOLKS

It’s sad when Clark Howard’s home station boot’s him to a night-time slot. With Boortz leaving in January, there’s nothing left during the day to get me to listen to WSB. I have no use for Herman Cain, Rush, or Hannity. At least Boortz is occasionally entertaining, even though he’s been beating the same national conservative drum since going syndicated.

Who listens to radio at 8PM? Wish I could tape Clark and play him back at another time. Now that WSB is all negative, I guess it’s audiobooks for me.

Clark Howard is the best thing going for WSB radio. Dave Ramsey, Adam Goldfein are good listens as well. Too bad Clear Channel doesn’t think so. Hannity and Erickson were bad enough; now Rush? Sorry, I simply can’t stomach these guys.
Guess 750 is no longer for me either. After growing up with WSB, it’s time to say buh-bye.

I am extremely upset over the change in scheduling going on at WSB radio. Neal retiring is a wonderful thing for him. But for me, and others, the addition of Herman Cain, Rush Limbaugh and the removal of Clark Howard from the “at work” listening time will force me to change my listening habits.

Can’t believe Clark has been moved to evenings! Really?!!! Being on the road all day,
I looked forward to listening to Clark and learned so much. I definately will not listen to Rush, would rather ride in total silence. Looks like its time to order more audio books.
