‘The Houstons: On Our Own’ on Lifetime with Bobbi Kristina debuts Oct. 24

Loading ...Just over eight months after Whitney Houston’s death, several key families members are set to debut a new reality show October 24 that only exists because of Houston’s death.
Lifetime will air back-to-back half-hour episodes of ‘The Houstons: On Our Own” that day and a dozen more Wednesdays at 9 p.m.
The reality series will follow daughter Bobbi Kristina, sister-in-law and manager Pat Houston, Houston’s brother Gary and mother, Cissy Houston, along with Bobbi Kristina’s rather close buddy Nick Gordon. Most of the action will take place in metro Atlanta, where Pat and Gary Houston and Bobby Kristina reside. (Cissy lives in New Jersey, where Whitney grew up)
Bobbi Kristina, who goes by Krissy, is the 19-year-old daughter of Bobby Brown and Whitney and the only heir to her mother’s estate, according to the Lifetime press release. We will see how Krissy grapples with the loss.
A special, “Remembering Whitney,” will air a week earlier with never-before-seen footage of Whitney and interviews with the Houston clan.

How could they do such a thing no normal family would use their own family members death to do a show around and let the world see how they grieve.What i’m I talking about their not grieving their trying to make a buck how sad shame on you krissy and cissy for going along with this disgusting crap called a tv show this is not entertainment.

@ Mercedes…the Jackson brothers did have a reality show following Michael’s death. However, it was cancelled after only one season.

The Jacksons will end up eating their own when it finally hits them that those 3 little white kids are gonna make off with about a zillion dollars. I think they may still be in some daze of denial.

Another wonderful reality show. I can hardly wait. Why don’t they come up with one called “The Houstons meet Honey Boo Boo”. We can end the misery twice as fast. (Two shows in one).

It does seem odd but let’s hold judgement until we see what is
actually presented to us. True Whitney fans want more without
being distasteful…don’t know if that will happen but possible.
Cissy did a good job of giving the world Whitney’s Home-going &
bringing the world to church so maybe this will be positive as well.
We can only hope and will soon find out.

It’s odd that the reality t.v show only comes after Whitney’s death and the show is going to be about just pat houstonm gary houston and daughter living their live now that Whitney passed away. What kind of stupid premise for a show, it’s almost has bad as how Being Bobby Brown was conceived. Is Cissy going to be part of this train wreck or she’s only going to be around since she’s a private person than pat houston and gary houston who’s been in the spotlight lately. Is this pat houston’s idea since she’s Whitney’s manager and this is her main job. Seems like she can’t do anything without using Whitney’s name and now this reality show.
