Usher…Oprah. Oprah… Usher!
Someone recently sent me a text saying a friend saw Oprah Winfrey in town.
Now we know why: Atlanta’s Usher is talking exclusively to Oprah for this Sunday’s “Oprah’s Next Chapter,” the network’s most successful show to date, especially when she nabs a big celebrity.
In the pre-taped interview, Usher is going to talk about his painful custody battle with Tameka Raymond over their two sons (Usher Raymond V, four, and Naviyd, three.) and what caused his breakdown in court. He also discusses infidelity rumors. His mom Jonetta Patton will share her thoughts on the situation as well.
Last month, Usher won full custody rights to his sons but Tameka continues to fight in court.
Tameka Tweeted after she lost her case: “Money can buy many things…But in the end. Truth & goodness will prevail. I must continue to believe this. Stand firm.”
The two married in August 2007, separated 2008 and divorced in 2009.

Usher has only himself to blame for the mess he’s been in for the last 5 years. The whole planet saw it coming. More importantly than discussing his custody battles, he needs to explain why he was SO incredibly deaf, dumb, and blind.

WELL, I AGREE WITH SERIOUSLY SOMEWHAT………….. HE SHOULD HAEV SEEN THE HANDWRITING ON THE WALL WITH HER; HIS MOTHER DID, BUT HE MOST ASSUREDLY SEES THE HER FOR WHO SHE REALLY IS. I AIN’T SAYING HE IS A SAINT, BUT SHE LEFT HER HUSBAND AND CHILDREN TO BE WITH THIS MAN!

Usher is such a phoney and womanizer. He did Tameka wrong and he wronged this woman as he does all his women. Why do you people villainize this woman when Usher is no saint. He too was an adulterer and then he made a record about it. He only want those kids for the sake of appearance…when will he have time for these kids when he’s on the road. Oh right, he will dump them off on his mother and grandmother. Geesh and that makes him a good father. He only won that case because the judge has been bought off by his sleazy attorney. Tameka appeared to be a good and loving mother. I have no respect for Usher and I will never buy or support his music. Usher needs to grow up and stop being a momma’s boy.

I feel so sorry for the kids. Why people don’t just have all the crazy sex they want and stop having these random babies to drag in and out of court, in and out of grandma house, and in and out of one boyfriend/girlfriend to the next! Some people should not breed, ever, and these two are good examples of that.

Totally agree with PoorKids. The kids are the ones who will suffer the most while these two try to tear each other apart. I like Usher, don’t get me wrong, but I believe the judge was blinded by his celebrity. I don’t particularly like Tameka, but she seemed like a good mother and she wouldn’t be dragging these kids all over the world on tour. They need a good, stable environment where they sleep in the same bed every night and have the same routine every day. Don’t think they will get that with Usher unless he puts them off on his relatives.

I don’t know either of them personally but I have friends and neighbors who do. Their characterizations of Tameka are universally negative. The words “unstable”, “gold-digger” and “tramp” get tossed around quite a bit. However, in the interest of fairness, Oprah should give equal time to Tameka.

Lesson: Never leave the husband and kids you already have for another because you think the grass is greener on the other side. Now you got a mess that the kids will have to suffer through. Same on both of them.

What makes these kids with Usher more special than the kids with her 1st husband? Why didn’t she fight for custody of them? Why did she leave her kids with the 1st husband? Hmmmmm…………. Stand firm for ALL of your children and not just the two by the guy that can afford the lifestyle you wish to live and outrageous child support payment!

Recall that Usher called off the original wedding. GRAND wedding planned was to be held on LA Reid’s estate. At the last minute – just hours before the ceremony, he called it off. His own Mother refused to attend. Social Media and the Blogs. were on FIRE. Begging him NOT to marry this woman.
2 weeks later he married her in his lawyers office.
Tameka was a callous cold hearted WITCH.– The behavior we see right now, throwing things, threatening to “kick your ass”, is what we we all saw. were warning signs. No matter how much money she had, you cant turn a heaux in to a good wife.
Before you say i’m cruel, lets not forget she was married with 3 kids and left her husband to pressure Usher into marrying her. Got his mother fired as Ushers Manager. and caused a MAJOR rift in their close bond.
I guess you all dont remember this girls dirt!
He is no prude, sleeping woth the Brides Maids and the Nanny’s… but look at how this marriage was put together, via deceit and manipulation.
