TBS last year announced an hour-long comedy called “Wedding Band” focused on four immature young men who play in a wedding band (of course.) Its release kept getting pushed back.
The Atlanta-based network finally announced a rather inauspicious launch date: Saturday, Nov. 10 at 10 p.m.
Scripted shows rarely debut on Saturday unless there is a fundamental lack of confidence in said show. That appears to be the case here.
The show stars Brian Austin Green, Harold Perrineau, Peter Cambor and Derek Miller.
While TBS has not generated a really big hit yet among its original comedies, two recent half-hour shows “Men at Work” and “Sullivan & Son” have done relatively well. And its repeats of “The Big Bang Theory” are pulling in relatively huge numbers.
