When shows get older, they sometimes opt for celebrity guests galore (see “Will & Grace,” “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition”).

TLC’s popular show “Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta,” which debuts its fourth season Friday, August 24, at 9 p.m., hasn’t gotten to that point, but the producers certainly didn’t balk when country star Miranda Lambert applied to be on the show. She appears on tonight’s first episode.

Lambert, of course, is already married to Blake Shelton. She actually wanted to help out her Pistol Annies mate Angaleena Presley with her wedding gown choice at Bridals by Lori in Atlanta. “They were great girls,” said Bridals by Lori owner Lori Allen. “We had a fun time. I love her music. She’s very down to earth.”

Allen said Lambert greeted her like Allen was the big star: “It was a mutual admiration society.”

She works on both “Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta” and “Say Yes to the Dress: Bridesmaids” (which returns for a third season in October) at the same time. This means while both are in production, she is basically working seven days a week. “Atlanta” is taped Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday while “Bridesmaids” is taped Thursday, Friday and Sunday. Saturday is such a busy day in general, TLC suspends taping but Hall is on site that day, too.

And they often tape early in the morning, starting as early as 8 a.m.

“I’m kind of used to it now,” Allen said. “I’m having the time of my life. I’m not complaining.”

Staff is used to it, too. Most of them are not on camera and she doesn’t require to be on the show.

“We don’t even think about the cameras anymore,” Allen said.

Here’s a tease with Lambert:

So when Ashton Kutcher dressed up in full cowboy/country gear, Miranda went on a Twitter Storm cause she thought Ashton was making fun of her?
Did she get upset with Monty?

@Deanna: That’s what I thought originally too, since they had that figure skater on the show a while back.

I really love that Miranda wanted to help her friend with her gown selection. We all know what happens when there are a lot of women trying to decide on one dress. It’s major drama! I’m sure that this episode won’t be any different. My Hopper DVR is always recording something wedding related, this show included which is not problem because it’s got a huge two terabyte hard drive that equals 2,000 hours of TV! A Dish co-worker suggested the Hopper a few months back and I finally gave in. I can’t wait to see this episode. People have been talking about this episode for some time now.

@Vivienne, how much did you get paid for that little advertisement? And who would ever want to navigate 2,000 hours of tv if ever that many hours got saved.
