TV bits: Chad (Ochocinco) Johnson loses VH1 show, Closing Ceremony ratings, NeNe Leakes
Busy afternoon in TV news. Here’s a quick summary:

- Chad (Ochocinco) Johnson, the NFL receiver, allegedly head butted his wife Evelyn Lozada over the weekend. He lost both his job with the Miami Dolphins and his just completed VH1 reality show “Ev and Ocho,” set for Sept. 3. VH1 has no plans to resurrect it.
- NeNe Leakes said no way to another round of “Celebrity Apprentice.” Last year, she quit the show and she told TV Guide she found it too rigorous for her taste. She’s busy enough as it is with “Real Housewives of Atlanta” and recurring roles on NBC’s upcoming “The New Normal” and Fox’s “Glee.” She’s also hosting a “Glee Project” reunion online tomorrow night.
- NBC’s Olympic Closing Ceremonies Sunday night drew more than 27 million viewers last night. I don’t think that included the 10 minutes of the Who NBC tacked on at the end after “Animal Practice” and the local news at 11 p.m.
- Not everyone is cheering the military-themed “Stars Earn Stripes” on NBC tonight at 10 p.m. and includes Atlantan Dolvett Quince. Desmond Tutu thinks it glorifies war in a trivial manner.
- CNN doesn’t like how the New York Post characterized its search for “reality” TV to supplement its already announced Anthony Bourdain weekend show. Rather than “reality,” the network dubs its hunt for “nonfiction original series.”

It’s a shame that people don’t take their marriage vow seriously? You either know what type of person you are marrying or have some idea before saying those vows. People usually don’t change, so if that person had issues before then what would you expect. Now she will be sporting that scar for the rest of her life. Hopefully, both of them have learned their lessons!

Bobby Cox was charged under Georgia’s Domestic Violence Act[16] with simple battery. He was accused of punching his wife and pulling her hair.[17] In a court settlement, Pamela Cox was instructed by the judge to attend a battered women’s program and Bobby Cox was told to complete violence counseling and an alcohol evaluation.[18] The criminal charges against Bobby Cox were dismissed, and he was not punished by Major League Baseball or the Atlanta Braves for the incident.
And if he did what he is accused of doing, and leaving the gash on her head, why is there no bruising or marks on his forehad??? With her sixhead, he should be damn near have a concussion!!!

@ blkshepherd- Excellent comments. And his/her only response- grammar and punctuation. Not one single reference to the actual issues you were addressing. Yep; you can pretty much tell when you’ve hit a nerve with one of these poorly educated, irrational hillbillies. Keep up the good work!

It is amazing to me that I can actually hear all of you “people” going ghetto when you talk/type. You speak as poorly as you type so quit judging Chad, because before this crap at least he made something of his life unlike the rest of you. Just sitting around not working looking for something to comment about doesn’t give you the right to do anything. Go to work and learn proper English. Quit teaching how to be a thug and your kids might do something other than suck the rest of us dry!
