Week two of the London Olympics dominates NBC and its sister stations.
If that’s not your taste, TNT is closing the spigot on “Dallas” for its first returning season Wednesday. (It will be back next year.) A&E is also ending its first season on “Longmire” Sunday and yes, that drama has been renewed, too, while AMC brings back the sophomore year of “Hell on Wheels” the same night.
And NBC is giving viewers a chance to sample two of its new fall comedies. On Wednesday night, it will air the first episode of Matthew Perry’s “Go On” and on Sunday, “Animal Practice,” which features a monkey. NBC hasn’t had a big mainstream comedy hit in many, many years. A little “Friends” magic, perhaps?

I just don’t dig Hagman’s JR redux on “Dallas”. He comes across as feeble and creepy rather than a villain.

Love “Longmire” and am so glad it has been renewed. It’s nice to see a different environment for a crime show.
