The folks who recently started a “Walking Dead” tour are experimenting with a “Real Housewives of Atlanta” tour for the evening of Tuesday, June 26.
UPDATE: On Friday morning, June 22, I was informed by the tour organizers the tour has been postponed due to scheduling conflicts and low interest.
And since they are not affiliated with the Bravo show, they can’t call it “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” tour. Instead, they dubbed it the “Keeping it Real” tour. (You can get more details and buy tickets here.)
This is going to be far different from the “Walking Dead” (er… Big Zombie) tour. It will run from 7 to 10 p.m., and include three complimentary cocktails and appetizers in three locations for a $60 fee.
Tour creator Patti Davis said they’ve gotten cooperation from Peter Thomas, the husband of cast member Cynthia Bailey, so there will be a stop at his lounge/bar BarOne in Grant Park, plus a visit to Cynthia’s modeling agency, the Bailey Agency. Cynthia won’t be there, though, and she isn’t sure if Peter will be at BarOne either.
She said she’d love to visit TAGS Boutique, Kandi Burruss’ clothing store in Smyrna but couldn’t fit it in the three-hour window.
From the press release, this is the basic description for $60 apiece:
Beginning at Cafe Circa, with a cocktail crafted especially for this tour, guests will then board luxury coaches provided by Hennessy Transportation for a whirlwind 3 hours of the show’s most iconic spots, including:
• Loews Hotel Midtown – where the ladies throw down in the penthouse
• Purple Door Salon – home to the show’s former semi-regular and hairdresser Dwight Eubanks
• BarONE – Cynthia’s husband’s place for cocktails
• See where Kim and Sheree had their very famous wig-pulling altercation
• Renaissance Hotel – Where stripper Ridickulous made an appearance at Kandi’s party
Does this sound like it’s worth it?

Why would you pay $60 when you can go to all those sites and more for free. Why don’t they at least have the ex-housewifes involved. Sheree could probably used a new gig. Along with the two from the 1st year that were let go. Sheree’s new house is huge and she could give tours of the construction site of the Chataue. It is just down the street from me.

Barney Fife is exactly right. Not only are people who watch this show and American Idol stupid but their stupidity is a national security threat. They should be rounded up into camps and studied to prevent this from happening again. I am sure Autopsies would reveal mental defects that are similar to the worst mass murderers, idiots and grotesque people of all time.

Any chance of them stopping at Magic City, Cheetah, or The Pink Pony? Some of the “ladies” may be–uh, forget it.
I agree with an earlier post: Why pay $60 to see what you can see for free?
