‘American Idol’ live blogging top 3 performance show
E! says Jennifer Lopez is leaving “Idol.” That wouldn’t surprise me one iota.
Here’s the home for tonight’s live blogging.
The top 3 will each sing three songs. Spoilers of the songs. Take a guess who will sing each:

From last blog… I agree that Phil’s hanging on by a thread. There are nights when you can see it on his face. I feel sorry for him.
But I do think if doctor’s orders for rest conflict with show requirements… he should’ve had to step down and leave the show (without being penalized by not getting to go on tour.)
And I’m not saying that because he’s not my favorite. I just don’t think it’s fair.
@G – I don’t think he’s faking, but I do agree with this: If you’re truly that sick, you shouldn’t be able to cherry-pick your performances and appearances. Either do them all or be disqualified.
JLo – whatever. She bothers me the least of the three stooges. But what about Paula coming back to Idol?? I’d much rather see her than Nicole. Or Katy Perry (bknsty14, that was me.)
And also bk, I second this: I feel really deflated after last week, so my interest has waned for these final two weeks. I’ll look forward to the finals to see some of my past favorites come back.
Except if the Tuesday singing part of the final doesn’t at least include Jessica, I’ll skip that.

The best part of your abbreviated article above was the news about JstankHo. I dug further on other sites and came up with this:

Gee, is it because she’s too busy or that she just wants more money? Let me think….leeeeeet me think…….
Actually, she needs to pay Fox for the hype machine she’s enjoyed the past two seasons. Plugs like that shouldn’t come cheap.

Screamin’ J
“I Don’t Want To Miss a Thing” by Aerosmith. This will allow Joshua to scream. It also allows him to pay back Steven for all the standing Os.
“I’ll Be There – By the Jackson 5. This will allow Joshua to scream.
“I’d Rather Go Blind” by Etta James. This will allow Joshua to scream.
7th place finisher Jessica “Mulligan” Sanchez
“My All” by Mariah Carey
“No More Drama” by Mary J. Blige

Per Forbes – here’s the estimate of top 10 earning former Idols gross income for last year:
Carrie Underwood – 20 million
Chris Daughtry – 6 million
Adam Lambert – 6 million
Fantasia Barrino – 4 million
Kelly Clarkson – 2.4 million (previous year was around 11 million/she’s very active now in 2012)
Jennifer Hudson – 2 million
Kellie Pickler – 1.8 million
Clay Aiken – 1.5 million
Of course ther’s expenses and taxes, so most can’t afford what the Judges and Host can buy in a house.
J. Lo was paid 20 million to do the show this season. They could get Clay, Kellie and Jordin Sparks all in a package for much, much less – oh, well.

Alex, I like your “guesses” on the performances…Funny! I began as and continue to be a fan of Phillip and I hope he has a good night…Jessica just does not connect with any of her songs, therefore it is hard for me to connect to her.
I have not firgured out what it is about Joshua, however I know some of it has to do with the Judges???? shoving him down our throats week after week. The one song he did not scream in last week was not praised as highly by them…JLo loves the screaming and bravado…

Phillip’s songs tonight may connect with the audience more…he does have a very strong fan base. He may get some Holly votes…
I think he should come out in roller skates for Matchbox song “Disease”…like the video…lol..for those who say he is the same every week!

I like all 3 singers who are singing tonight. Heck, I liked the top 6. I would have been ok with any of them winning. I’m a little disappointed that Elise isn’t in the mix but that’s ok.
Phil has a HUGE fan base. It will take a lot of votes to beat him. I understand why. He’s personable, camera-friendly and he’s a musician. I like listening to him interpret a song.
Jessica is like a master class in singing. And at 16, her ability to project so much emotion into her songs is surprising. We never seem to get a down night from her and while I prefer her ballad voice to her uptempo voice, she is the first girl in a long time with a real potential to win.
Joshua is a performer. The stage is his friend more than the tv camera. He’s almost too big for the camera, too emotive, too effusive but i love his performances.
Nope, I really don’t have any complaints about the final 3.

Like Rickster, I have no interest in the rest of the Idol season… but sitting out a show? Not as long as Rodney provides live blogging! If he didn’t, I’d just watch the half hour of singing a recorded version would provide.
