TV best bets with series finale of ‘Desperate Housewives,’ season finales of ‘Survivor,’ ‘New Girl,’ ‘The Voice,’ ‘Once Upon a Time’

desperate housewives in earlier daysThe floodgates have now opened for several major season finales and one major series finale in ABC’s ‘Desperate Housewives.”

That over-the-top soap opened huge and is ending on a much quieter note in terms of buzz on Sunday. But the show made a major impact on the prime-time landscape as Wisteria Lane suffered murders, suicides, a tornado, a plane crash and even an off-set drama featuring a jilted Nicollette Sheridan. Fun times had by all, courtesy of the inventive mind of creator Marc Cherry.

On Sunday, “Survivor” concludes its whopping 24th season against “Desperate Housewives.” NBC’s ‘The Office,” despite stumbling ratings without Michael Scott, ends its eighth season with a virtual lock on a ninth.  Some of the biggest freshman shows such as CBS’s “2 Broke Girls” Monday, Fox’s “New Girl” on Tuesday and ABC’s “Once Upon a Time” Sunday also close shop for the spring.

And NBC’s “The Voice” finishes its sophomore year Tuesday hoping to create a star, something that didn’t happen season one. (Javier Colon anybody?)

Thanks for reminders, RoHo.

Personally I could do with the very tired “Red John” tease on “The Mentalist”. Catch him and let the poor hero move on.

I see a lot of junk now on t.v. and I KNOW I could be a great actress. Some of the stuff on t.v. now is pure garbage and a lot of the actors and actresses are not that good at their jobs at all. Making loads of money for being very poor at their craft and stories that are just stupid. You have hard working folks that go to work EVERYDAY and will not make half the salary that some of these clowns make per episode. To me something is very wrong with this picture.
