Nah, Holly has her favorites, but she is the most prone to singing off key. Even her fans hear that. If they hear that and still vote for her, then they are missing the point completely, and shame on them for voting.

“The reason is because the marketing group for American Idol are the same group that are doing the publicity for President Obama. The goal, to get as many black people on TV as possible…”

WOW, now this is the biggest crap of nonsense I’ve read in a very long time. The “marketing group” seems to be geared toward getting President Obama out of office. And, don’t you think it’s time to get more black people on TV, and I don’t mean dumb shows like The Browns (JMO). White sitcoms, night time shows like Conan, Jay Leno, etc, run the gamut. The show “Friends” was a great show, but so was “Living Single.” Which show received the most kudos. White fans raved for Friends, while the black sector raved for BOTH shows.

Dumbest comment of the night award goes to Adrian.

Phillip Phillips???? r-e-a-l-l-y? HOW has this guy not been booted already?? Too much cocky … not nearly enough talent. Go Elyse!

Elise was the best because she is not boring…The rest of the group is predictable…all very talented and have some great performances but generally bore me to tears. I would buy Elise’s music someday…and probably would buy Phillip’s. I love Skylar’s spunk and spirit. I am not a country fan but she does own that stage and brings energy to every song. Jessica is amazing. When she grows into her voice is a few years and gets some real life experience the world will know her name. Tonight she was predictable and boring.

Phillip….so your telling me that the marketing team for President Obama is gearing in getting him out of office? I’ll let you re-think about that.

And if you care to elaborate on the rest of your comment please do so. It lacks in making any sense. I also find it hard to believe that my statement is crap, especially when it’s a fact that the marketing team for America Idol is the same as Obama’s marketing team.

Ouch. Listening to Hollie’s 2nd song. Missing the key on most notes.

Skippy – I’m voting for Hollie because I like her the best. she did miss on some notes on her first song tonight, but the Queen songs as a whole were not that great. The Climb she just killed and she killed the Adele song last week. To me she has the best voice, but has unfairly gotten dumped on while other singers who have missed on pitch numerous times and sounds flat at other times (Jessica) have not received enough criticism. I haven’t voted since Carrie Underwood, but learned my lesson about that with Pia last year. Now, I have someone who I enjoy and will give her my votes. Voting for your favorite is not missing the point, but being told who to vote for by the judges is.

Point taken, bknsty14. I haven’t voted for anyone, and continue to take a stance that I have no favorite…ok, that’s a lie…Elise has emerged as my favorite (but I still am not compelled to vote for her). I agree that is seems like Hollie is singled out, but I think the judges generally get it right, and have from season one. There are some exceptions. I thought Hollie really made a great comeback last week, but fell back into the same ol’ pitch problems again this week. Jessica, too, is prone to being ever so slightly off on some notes. I honestly am not sure who has the best voice. It occurs to me that are there are probably 10,000 better singers in this country than have tried out for American Idol or any other talent show. They are doctors, lawyers, teachers, vagrants, etc……

Sounds like the judges have already made up their minds about who will win American Idol.

Im sick of Joshua screaming like a little girl, if he wins, the music industry will have officially gone down the toilet. Phillip is the only original artist in the competition.

Jon C – your list is way off. Elise should be on the bottom, Jessica, Josh, Skylar all did better than she did. Hollie should be stay up top after her last song. I don’t get the Elise thing, you could hear her mistakes, especially in her first song. The judges even commented on her not doing well.

I would like someone to tell me why the Judges only stand up for Joshua when they highly praise some of the others. Everyone loved Skylar last night buy they did not stand for her. My feeling is Joshua is a great church singer but really not an American Idol. What’s with all the over the top praise, are the Judges being paid off.

The comments have gotten testier as the contestants leave to make it a smaller field. Obviously some like one more than another and as a result, justify their feelings by pointing out faults that they perceive. Be honest, some don’t like country, R&B or Rock and perfect pitch is not necessarily what makes the perfect AI. It’s a popularity contest and no matter how many times you repeat that “someone missed some notes” it’s not going to make anyone switch there vote if they are voting at all.
It usually just starts a never ending argument between people with strong views. Just be happy with “I like what they sang or I didn’t like that”. Making it sound like you are a voice coach or music critic doesn’t make it so.
But that’s just me. lol
