Big lover of the top 6. Phillip and Skylar are my favs. I don’t like the way that the judges are giving only one person a Standing Ovation. They all deserve a Standing Ovation NOT just one. Maybe my opinion stinks but that is just the way I feel. I almost feel that the judges are Pregidice.

i think Joshua is a good singer but I am sink of them standing for him every week!!!!! I am so tired of them being so bad to Hollie!!! Hollie connect with the song then she does with the Queen song then they down her for that tired of this!!! Skylar and Elsie were good but dont stand for them. Disappionted with the judges.

Not liking the scarf ring…oops, this is a singing competition, not a fashion show. Carry on folk.

Joshua does really well 1 out of 4 performances. The other 3 — screechy gospel sound that nobody would buy. Jessica has good vocals but is downright boring — the same little sad puppy eyes week after week. I’m not crazy about Skylar but she is fun to watch. Elise, she would be good at number 1 but too old? Like several other runners up, if Jessica won, Elise would outperform her. Entertainers who could sell music and perform — Elise, Phillip and Skyler.

On paper, Elise doing John Mayer sounds like a home run. But with the exception of a couple exceptional moments, I thought that arrangement was messy and all over the place. It took me half the song to realize what she was singing. Not her best…

Elise doing the Jimi Hendrix song…I expected it to be better. Liked her Queen song a lot better although this one was pretty good.
Can’t pick the cherries with your back to the trees…or pick songs people know…that was actually good advice from ST

J-LO, come on again – Elise did in in way “slay” that Hendrix song. It was totally 100% ho-hum. Jon C, yes, it was a mess. And listen to the judges trying to excuse her by saying it was the “wrong song” – at least Randy is telling the truth. She “boxed” with the song and never quite made it her own or even sang it well.

If you are going to do a DMB song, take Steven’s advice and do one everybody knows and knows well. That said, he does sound a lot like him, but not a favorite of mine at all.

I don’t get it. At All. Joshua gets standing O after standing O. My opinion, he stinks. But beyond my opinion – the judges even give more praise to other contestants, but only give Joshua standing Os. EVERY TIME. I don’t get it.

But who knows? Could happen…

@ Jon C – Like I said, Standing O’s in this competition is a double edged blade. It cuts both ways … and cuts deep either way.
The standing O is the judge’s personal expression of their approval and admiration. If they believe that Joshua’s past performance all deserved standing O’s, then that is their subjective view. Personally, I have yet to see any performance of Joshua with any kind of glaring technical fault. They’re aways so well executed. SO … I cannot make any justifiable criticism of the judges on this Standing O issue.
A question I would throw to everybody here is … honestly, isn’t Joshua REALLY the best singer in this competition if you do away with all the other qualities (the cute factor, personality, physical packaging)?

Perhaps it’s me, but for JLo to say “there WILL be a time and place” where he (Phil2x) can sing the way he wants to was a telltale sign. Watchers listen to what these keystone judges are saying and it sways the votes. I would buy a Phil2x CD.

Hollie needs to KILL The Climb or else she could be in trouble. I hope not though, but nobody ever does this song well. Put PP in the bottom three and send him packing. He just wasn’t very good the last few weeks.
