‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ recap: season four, reunion show, part 2
This part two of the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” reunion was pretty somnolent until hot mess and would-be “Housewife” Marlo Hampton stepped in to rile things up one more time.
Possibly resentful she didn’t get promoted to be a full-time cast member, Marlo freely cast aspersions on Kim Zolciak after hearing Kim’s earlier comment that Marlo used her “hole” to get places.
“I feel you and I are cut from the same cloth,” Marlo said. Then she wrinkled her nose and added, “You know what? I take that back. You’re a whore.”
“You ruined a happy home. I’ve never dated a married man. Next time you talk about the hole between my legs, measure yours,” Marlo added.
“First of all, I didn’t ruin a happy home,” Kim said. “That’s a lie No. 1. No. 2 I’m not a whore. No. 3. I’ m not an escort. You are. Big difference.”
“You don’t know me to call me a whore,” Marlo responded.
“You know me to call me that?” Kim retorted.
Marlo then insulted Kim’s hubby Kroy Biermann by saying he couldn’t afford the ring Kim is wearing. She claimed Kim sold Big Poppa’s ring to help pay for Kroy’s ring. Kim denied it. [On Twitter, Kim's daughter Brianna took a photo of both rings side by side to prove Kim still had Big Poppa's ring. Kim also said Marlo is just jealous because she didn't end up making it on the cast.]
With the “escort” line still reverberating in her ears, Marlo challenged that statement. Kim said she heard through friends. “You don’t know no one I know,” Marlo said, showing her grammatical finesse.
Marlo seemed to be enjoying these arguments just a wee bit too much and there’s more to come Sunday.
Earlier, host Andy Cohen brought three of the husbands out – but not much happened.
- Peter Thomas and Cynthia Bailey rehashed the tension Peter had with Cynthia’s sister Mal, who was not in attendance. (This would have been a lot more fun if she had been.) Cynthia defended Peter, saying Mal went over the line against him. Peter said he was joking when he insulted Mal at the party and didn’t realize he may have gone over the line himself. And while there were doubts about the future of their relationship, Peter forcefully said they love each other. Cynthia was oddly more circumspect, saying “No one can predict what will happen between me and Peter.”
NeNe also said she never flirted with Peter, that they were just joking around. Peter called it a “fun, playful” relationship. NeNe blamed the “smalls” on the accusations. Phaedra and Kim denied it. Sheree was quiet.
- Kim will finally reveal her real hair on the spinoff ‘Don’t Be Tardy for the Wedding,” debuting April 26.
Kroy said he loves kids and always wanted a huge family so Kim’s existing two kids, their baby and a second on the way, works well for him.
He is also unperturbed by Kim and NeNe’s relationship falling apart. “Friendships fall out,” Kroy said. “People come and go from your life.”
- They killed time by rehashing the “black baby” argument that dragged on over five or six episodes. I’m not sure they added much new to the equation though Sheree apologized for misconstruing Kandi’s comments. And Kim acknowledged that she hates flying and basically admitted that what Kandi said was true: she probably wouldn’t have gone on the South African trip even if the baby was not in the picture. (Then again, “RHOA” pays her enough money that she would have felt, um, legally obligated – like NeNe – to go.) I think it’s true that Kandi never meant to say anything racist at all.
- Kim never paid Kandi her due amount for ‘Tardy for the Party” and it’s clear that impacted their relationship. Kandi had been friends with Sheree but the whole “black baby” issue didn’t help matters.
- Phaedra and NeNe are not friends but don’t hate each other. Then again, there is no real desire to be friends either.

“Once NeNe came around, the smalls didn’t want me anymore” – Marlo Hampton.

More drama with Marlo. Kandi goes after her with the “escort” line again. Kim mocks Cynthia for having a “backbone” in front of NeNe. And Sheree and NeNe argue once again.
RATINGS
NeNe’s battles with the other ladies ignited the reunion show last Sunday, generating 3.2 million viewers. This is the highest rated “reunion” episode in the show’s history.

When will this “Madness” end? Andy Cohen is LHAO watching them go at each other. I keep hoping they will realize that the station is getting rich off their antics. Andy is gay so what the hell!! Now the husbands got their share of the pie. Croy, the Falcons are not going to tolerate you being on the “Funny Farm” because it is embarrassing. You had better pull up before they pull out. Peter, what can I say? If he shines any brighter, I will go blind. Apollo, ride the gravy train because your wife is a Southern fake. How many horses are suffering behind the weaves? I hope they all married for love because behind all the hair and makeup they probably look like The Little Rascals. Refer to the movie “I’m Gonna Get You Sucker” –enough said.

@Angel: Marlo told the truth…just because Kim is married now doesn’t erase her past…she was a mistress to a married man…she basically sold her vagina to the highest bidder…much like Marlo. She has a trade school education…LPN’s will never earn enough to support that lifestyle…she was selling her vajayjay…She got lucky with Kroy.

I was soooooo happy when Marlo told the truth about Kim. Wow, did Kim ever forget her little “Mrs football wife’s attitude” and used all of those MFs and other 4 letter words at Marlo. Has everyone forgotten the season when Kim was bragging about getting her engagement ring from “Big Poppa” and the man was still MARRIED!!! Get her Marlo!!!!

@Connie: You must be an extreme hood rat to think that NeNe is the most intelligent woman on RHOA. Phaedra is a well educated attorney with a thriving law firm as well as other businesses. Kandi, has been a songwriter for years and is worth 35 million. Cynthia, while not super wealthy is well spoken poised.
NeNe is a hood rat that came up…although I admire her for milking this cow before it runs dry. But, Cynthia, Kandi, and NeNe were “names” before RHOA so they are going to be ok after it is over…..

Love Kim…always have, always will. No comment for Marlo…she’s trying though…but a pig in a dress is still a pig! Can’t fix her ghetto ways, she will always struggle with that…even with a Chanel dress on…poor thang! Plus, even though I’m sure all of the ladies “thought” about what they were going to say on the show, Marlo seemed TOO rehearsed…she’s still trying too hard!!

I’m boycotting the show if Nene or Marlo are back on the show. Both are disgusting, ghetto, and rotten to the core, neither knows when they have gone to far and they’re uncomfortable to watch. The fact Marlo thinks she could school anyone on etiquette is laughable. Nene is just trash and violent. Kandi is the only likable one on the show, Phaedra has slowly grown on me. Peter is a rude dope with 1 functioning brain cell, and I’m overestimating.

Come on Ronnie – Kim an NFL wife? Kroy is stupid and she lucked up! He’s 26 years old – the stepfather of a 15 year old (who is a younger version of her mother), a nine year old, a nine month old son and another one on the way? I bet he’s said in the back of his mind – plenty of times – WHAT THE HELL HAVE I GOTTEN MYSELF INTO!!!! Kim is just trying to make sure she is set for life when he does leave and having two babies back to back just did that for her! Sheree is hopeless. She’s a dreamer if I ever saw one. Phaedra – not that’s boughetto and Apollo ain’t nothing but her puppet. Cynthia needs to man-up when it comes to Peter. This is the highest rating housewife show on Bravo !! So whatever these ladies are doing must be making US watch !!. So , quit with the negative classless talk. They entertain and we watch it no matter what !!. The other housewie shows! NewYork, Orange County, are just as CATTY , and even more wild as the Atlanta , so why is it that the WORD CLASS is only applied to the show where the ladies are a BLACK CAST !!. Watch the other shows and u will see they are all alike !! They each cuss, sleep around, complain and talk about each other just as the Atlanta one do . THE shows are all alike , but for some reason ! NENE, is judged much worst than the JILL, Theresa, or Vickie’s on the other shows !. BUT Atlanta is still the highest rated of them all !!!!

This is a perfect example of disconnect, because other ethic groups go in the dirt and act classless its ok for our black women to do the same, setting stadards and having class is what made our black women unique from the rest.
The other ethic group of women are not sterotyped and can work any where in main stream of America films, morales and culture values top ratings every time, amazing how women of past generations had last and did more oppose to women of today who have more but do less, and digrace our history.

I’m not related to Angel. I’m just saying it would be nice to have more black women with law degrees on television, I’m not sure why you are opposed to that. Instead of making a mockery of black women making all of them look like ghetto Shenenes shaking their heads around, being loud, and smacking their teeth. This show is the only place many whites see black women in their “natural habitat,” and it sets an awful impression.

Obviously Sherree is not broke, because as of today the Contractor is putting the floor joists on the second floor of her house. It is actually larger than I thought it was going to be. The contractor is moving full steam ahead over the last two weeks. So even though she is leaving the show, she has saved up the money or been approved for the Construction loan. She is paying the contractor in draws otherwise he would not be moving along as rapidly as he is.

I’m not a judge. But I do want to be fair…, how else can grown women settle their differences. Surely you can see the jealousy in NeNe’s and Marlo’s face and talk. Come on be real. Kandi is the most successful on the show and even she does not look down on people. Phaedra sits there in shock on regarding the animosity NeNe and Marlo is projecting towards Kim.

Marlo was initially arrested back in 1998 in Florida and charged with Aggravated Battery w/Great Bodily Harm of which she was later convicted, serving six months in jail. See the mugshot from that arrest, which features Marlo smiling, below.
Apparently, while she was in a club Marlo got into a fight with another young woman over a man. During the altercation Marlo pulled out a razor blade (or another extremely sharp object) and repeatedly sliced open her opponent’s face!
The fight left the other woman horribly disfigured and she allegedly almost bled to death in the club while awaiting medical attention. Six-years later the woman, who was a mother, committed suicide at 33 by jumping off a bridge, thus leaving her son behind
