If you want to live blog (or simply use the comments below), you have two options. Tonight the nine singers will do songs from their idols. To fill extra time since they have stretched what should be a 90 minute show to two hours is some sort of medley of Madonna songs. Or something like that. Nigel has tweeted that Jessica will do Beyonce (not Mariah!) while Hollie will take on Carrie Underwood and Skylar, Miranda Lambert.
Rodney Ho covers TV and radio, from Atlanta’s stations to the hottest “American Idol\" news.

Proud of Heejun for putting forth a serious effort. No one can top Elliot but Heejun just topped all his other performances. He won’t go home this week

And speaking of what people are wearing, is Randy snacking on his necklace during commercial breaks?

Wow, I like this trio! “Landslide” is much better for Colton than his song was.

“his other performances” means Heejun’s other performances, not Elliot’s

He did sing it better, but fortunately for Heejun Elliott is not competing. I liked it,

Hee Jun just saved himself this time. Won’t have to rely on the crazy teeny boppers to keep him in the competition. Still don’t like him, but he did great tonight.

Not loving Phil’s part, but I also don’t love “Don’t Stop”.

Heejun’s meloldy sounded good but the diction is awful. So far the best of a weak night.

Karen, English is not Heejun’s first language so his diction problems are caused by his accent

Colton was okay.
Skylar sounded real good. I do believe she has a better voice than Lauren Elana (spelling?) but I don’t think seems to connect with the audience as lauren.
Hee Haw. I just don’t like that guy. Way too insincere.

At least the sound man did well with good balance on HeeJun’s song. Standing 0v from the Judges. So far, they imply that everyone is going to win. I give him a 6, no big vibe.

Wow, it’s God night on Idol tonight. Not complaining personally, but I just haven’t seen so many religious songs in one night (granted there’s only been two, but still…)
Hollie has a powerful instrument, and she looks stunning tonight, but she is turning into glorified vanilla for me. I know she is trying her darndest to connect with hus, but I just never truly feel it from her.
Also, the snow?? The waving arms?? Way to distract from the message.

Hollie’s song choice is not the best for me, probably because I’ve heard that song way too many times back when it was a hit. She is a great singer, but that was not great for me. Give her a 6, and she did miss some notes. Not a stellar choice for her.

American singers are expected to sing German, French, Spanish, and Italian songs with perfect diction. Too much?

This has been a lackluster night for me so far and the theme should give these contestants every chance to shine. So far, they don’t really seem to understand what they’re best at.

I’m more about the song itself. I don’t really like when they try to up the spectacle aspect of the performance. Yes, the snow fit. I found it unnecessary, Just my opinion

Eric Benet is one in the long list of men who Halle Berry dated and later accused of being evil. Hmmm, every man Halle Berry dates she later claims is crazy, but none of the women they later dates claims the men are crazy. Hmmm. What’s the common thread connecting all these men and the crazy???

Okay, first off I understand how technically impressive the falsetto tool is. And the first verse of Deandre’s song sounded REALLY good. But when the whole entire song is up in the stratosphere, it loses it’s luster. It’s the exact same thing as when Phillip only sings the same 4-5 notes, Deandre is simply in a different range of his voice.
Impressive and boring at the same time.
