Whitney Houston’s funeral is going to be a significantly smaller, private affair than that of Michael Jackson or James Brown. It will be held at Houston’s childhood church, New Hope Baptist Church, in Newark, N.J.

But it will be readily available to catch via Web, TV or radio.

Here are some of your sundry options:

On television: BET, Centric and E! will be airing the funeral live starting at 11:30 a.m. EST. CNN will begin coverage at 11 a.m., anchored by by Piers Morgan, Soledad O’Brien, and Don Lemon. HLN will have anchors Ryan Smith and Susan Hendricks with Jane Velez-Mitchell and AJ Hammer in Newark starting at noon. New Atlanta-based network Bounce TV and Fuse TV will the funeral beginning at noon. Fox News will cover it as a live news event with Uma Pemmaraju and Jon Scott anchoring and correspondent Kelly Wright outside the church.MSNBC coverage begins at noon with Alex Witt anchoring.

On radio:R&B station Kiss 104.1 will air a one-hour tribute at noon with all her No. 1 songs, reports from the scenes and comments from listeners. The station will air the funeral live, said Tony Kidd, who oversees Kiss. So will Sirius/XM’s Heart & Soul channel 48. R&B station Majic 107.5/97.5 and gospel station Praise 102.5 will have a moment of silence at noon Saturday, according to program director Derek Harper. I’m awaiting a response from R&B/hip-hop station V-103 about their coverage.

On the Web: CNN.com and E! Online will simulcast their network coverage. Several websites will be live streaming the funeral, including www.wsbtv.com, www.cnn.com/live, http://livestream.com/aplive, www.foxnews.com and www.majicatl.com, to name a few.

TMZ obtained the invite and it’s being dubbed a “home going” service, which implies it will be more upbeat than a regular funeral.

Among the expected attendees: Clive Davis, Aretha Franklin, CeCe Winans, Donnie McClurkin, Kim Burrell, Tyler Perry, Kevin Costner, Alicia Keys, her cousin Dionne Warwick, ex-husband Bobby Brown and Stevie Wonder.

Whitney was an amazing singer. Her talent will truly be missed. But,I take comfort in knowing(if she still had a problem with drugs) that she doesn’t any longer.

Thanks, I’ve been searching all over for the broadcast time so I don’t miss it. I am not sure what I will do. I can’t get this lump out of my throat. Watching this will be so difficult. I miss her so much. :(

Whitney, I am so glad your funeral will be private and not turned into a circus. I will be praying for God’s peace and comfort for your family and loved ones — especially Bobbi Kristina. You’ll be sadly missed, Whitney. No more pain, worries, condemnation. . . RIP.

I already saw Whitney’s funeral on television.

It was hosted by Barbara Walters in 2002.

Sadly, drugs did for Whitney Houston what ObamaJiveTalker’s “Stimulus Packages” and Corporate Bailouts have done for the American economy.

How I wish photos were a part of these blogs! People wouldn’t say half of what they say if that were the case. If you take the time to comment negatively, you obviously have nothing going on in your lives…..

Freddie,
Who are you to predict anyone’s life/death? God is the only one WHO knows when one will die. You are a self-righteous idiot. What habit do you have? Of course, NONE………………………………..

The family deserve privacy rather than a large venue where people come just to be nosy, disrespectful using audio & video and just being plain disrespectful.Whitney and her family deserve the respect without the onslaught of media and the public gawking.Whitney continues to be the person I hold in high esteem throughout her career, she was talented, attractive, beautiful, class and a strong woman. She will be missed, losing Whitney is like losing a close family member.I am very saddened with losing her.

Are you all serious..??? You would actually leave your home in inclimate weather to go to an establishment to see Whitney’s funeral…! I liked some of her music; but was always put-off by her better-than-thou attitude.!!!!! Not to speak ill of the deceased.; yet we tend to immortalize people when they are no longer here in the flesh. I want to extend my sincere condolenses to her family.

I have to laugh at some of my fellow rage-filled blacks on this blog who made fun of Elvis for dying of drugs the same way but are fighting mad over any comments that hold Whitney Houston accountable for her own actions and acting like they know her personally.

Pathetic.

I loved Whitney, but she brought this on herself.

She got what she deserved.

If Dionne Warwick, Whitney’s aunt, and her Psychic Friends Network are indeed truly psychic, why didn’t they bother to warn anyone this was going to happen last Saturday?

Whitney Houston confessed to Diane Sawyer that she was the devil. She also stated in that interview that she was a child of God. That’s very confusing. You have to be one or the other.

Whitney caused her own death… Her excessive abuse of drugs and alcohol led directly to her drowning.. Do you really expect us to mourn her? I am sorry for her daughter,,, very sorry..I am sorry for my Jewish students at Tucson Hebrew Academy who heard me, just a few weeks ago praising her as a great singer and spiritual leader, when I taught them to sing Whitney an Maraiah Carrey’s song from the PRINCE OF EGYPT’S movie. She does not deserve a hero’s burial.. or the media fever that is going on… Let her poor family put her in the ground, and grieve. but I will not grieve for a wasted and ungrateful life. Had she appreciated her gifts, she would have given much more back to her community

Gary Carter should be mourned more than a Diva Dopehead like Whitney CHOSE to become.

Gary Carter didn’t treat people like garbage and like he was always more important than everyone else.

Why so much hate for someone that God has called home? No matter what she did while she was here, all is forgiven and she’s earned her wings. All of you that are saying terrible things on this blog, you need prayer more than anything.
