Former Fox 5 ‘Road Warrior’ Stacey Elgin has twins
Former Fox 5 “Road Warrior” Stacey Elgin reported on both her personal and public Facebook pages that she had twin boys Tuesday.
Right after midnight, she posted this:
Our angels have arrived! Photos and info of the twins coming in the morning! Thank you all so much for your support!
I will update this blog when she posts more details.
[UPDATE: 12/22: she noted that her babies came a little early, common with twins. Her latest FB note:
Thank you all so much for your support. It means so much and helps us get through this difficult time. Our boys came in to the world a little early and we are asking for your prayers. Dr's say they are doing extremely well but it's still a long road ahead]
She was let go from Fox 5 in September after two years as “Good Day Atlanta” reporter doing the live “Road Warrior” pieces. She’d show up at a restaurant or school or any feature-like event deemed newsworthy, even if it was just 8 a.m. in the morning.
There has been no official replacement yet that I know of. (Do tell if you know!)

Rodney, thanks for removing the offensive comment (rumor). This is only newsworthy because she was pregnant at the time she was released from Fox. In other words, a story about her just announcing that she is expecting probably would not have much news value, as she is off the air.

I miss seeing her in the mornings (being an avid watcher for the past 2 years every morning). She was a real trooper considering some of the things she ended up doing. They need to bring her back or someone just as bubbly.

Not feeling it on Melissa Long. Very rarely do you see someone that good looking who appears to be completely uneasy in her own skin. Everytime she anchors it looks like someone trying to dance while actually mouthing the beats.
Then again it could be Channel 11’s suicidal devotion to adlibbing off-script. Even a seasoned pro like Brenda Wood appears to be barely hanging on during that nightmare they call the “11 at 7″.

I love hearing about newborns, especially twins. I hate when babies are called “bundles of joy.” Such a cliche that it churns up the gag reflex.
