They’re baaaack.

For the first time, Bravo’s  “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” has not changed its cast from the previous year. The same six women are featured: the three originals Sheree Whitfield, NeNe Leakes and Kim Zolciak, season two addition Kandi Burruss and season three adds Cynthia Bailey and Phaedra Parks.

There have been reports that Zolciak will use this season to get a spin off with her squeeze Kroy Biermann and the baby, but nothing is official.  For now, it’s more of the same.

Ratings hit a peak last year of 3.1 million, up from season two. It was the biggest season of any “Real Housewives” franchise. Will the show be able to maintain that momentum or are people finally starting to lose interest?

From what I can ascertain, there are 18 episodes, which may or may not include the two reunion shows. That’s how many aired last season.

I received a screener this week before the season four debut Sunday at 9 p.m. You’ll get a real sense of deja vu because, as shown in the previews, Sheree and NeNe go at it.

Three years ago, in the very first episode, Sheree and NeNe argued as well, but my memory is fuzzy over what. Sheree had a party where NeNe was not on the list and NeNe left in a huff. This time, the dispute is over money. NeNe allegedly trying to block Sheree out of some appearance cash. This bubbles over into issues of jealousy and big egos, as in Sheree is supposedly jealous and NeNe’s ego may have gotten even bigger, if that’s possible.

Things to watch for in the first episode, without giving away too much:

- Dwight Eubanks is gone, effectively replaced by Miss Lawrence as the resident gay hairdresser. Lawrence is working with Kandi on his music though the song we hear seems ill-suited for his voice.

- NeNe has alienated everybody on the cast – except Cynthia. She’s the only cast member who seems to like her anymore.

- Kim’s singing “career”? On ice now that she’s preggers. Her tummy’s growing, she’s not smoking or drinking (at least on camera) and she’s uncomfortable.  She and Kroy move in together. Oddly, she seems less annoying than usual.

- NeNe, besides her issues with Sheree, doesn’t kick out her lackadaisical, poker-faced son Bryce. Instead, she gets him a big gift – from a guy she slept with many years ago. She’s also separated from her husband Gregg.  And while this line is out of context, NeNe actually said this to Sheree: “While you were running your mouth, I was running to the bank.”  (Yes, NeNe has no problem name-dropping Donald Trump from her rather mixed but very buzz-worthy “Celebrity Apprentice” experience shown earlier this year.)

- Phaedra Parks, now a mommy, gets interested in the funeral business, not that this has much to do with being a lawyer.

- Cynthia Bailey, newly betrothed, is moving beyond modeling and starts her own agency. She brings in a big guest, at least a big guest if you are into “America’s Next Top Model.”

- Speaking of new businesses, Kandi is starting a sex toy line, something I wrote about a couple months ago. Sheree and Phaedra are amused.

- Sheree? Didn’t she try to get into acting season three after her clothing line died on the vine season two? Her career doesn’t come up this first episode beyond making appearances and there are no signs of acting gigs in the trailer.  But she is trying to squeeze blood out of a turnip – her ex husband – for child support.

Yes. NeNe is still married, but separated. Kim is about to get married. Phaedra and Cynthia are both married. Kandi is single and dating. Sheree? Single and desperate.

It seems to me that Kandi is on the wrong show, first it was the sex radio talk show and now it’s sex toys. This girl seem to have sex on the brain. Somebody please put her in touch with the Hugh Hefner.

I can’t wait until the new season starts. I guess I’ll have to settle for the over the top, rude, and brash comments that will overtake this thread in a hour.

The only seemingly “normal” person on this show is Cynthia (and that’s stretching normal with the whole friendship contract incident). The rest are walking, talking stereotypes. Not a positive or uplifting individual in the bunch. Ghetto and Trailer Park trash. That being said, more than likely I will still peek in throughout the season…..every once in a while it’s more funny then embarrassing :0)

It is like watching a train wreck. I just can’t turn away. These women are all just trying to capitalize in a bad economy.

This television program does not accurately portray the roles of the typical African-American female of Atlanta, and gives young African-American women poor role models to emulate in their daily struggle with racism, high crime and unemployment in the community, being a single parent and eight years of Bush economic policies.

@Rev, if our daughters have to look beyond the females in their immediate families for role models, they are already lost. I set the example for my daughter. If she needs further examples she need only look to my sisters, my mother, my cousins, my aunts and close family female friends. We are all educated and hard-working. The tv is NEVER a source. Oprah, Michelle Obama, etc., yes, are all great women doing great things, but the biggest influence on my child is ME.

It’s time to end all of these shows. From one cast to the next, it’s a group of bitter bickering women. She said, she said, well I heard. And that damn NeNe’s big body self overtalking and trying to bully everyone else. Kandi is on the wrong show, but not because of the sex stuff. I think they each need to ask themselves how has their life evolved, not changed, but evolved, since this show started years ago.

It’s funny how people like to pretend this stuff doesn’t happen. I see women fighting over silly stuff all the time. The Husewives are not always fighting, that is just the negative stuff people want to remember. If you don’t like the show, then don’t watch it. I don’t know why people get so caught up with the name of the show, it’s just a title. I guess people have to complain about something.

The show has indeed lost it excitements; all it is now is a lot of fussing and one problem after another. No one really solve anything from show to show. Clitter, cars, homes and clothing is all the show present to us! It brings out the dirt on eveyone; men who don’t work, foreclosures, etc., what has all of that had to do in this show which proves what we already know…people trying to live above their income and it appear they feel ashame to be left out of all of the images that make’s them look good. I don’t beleive nothing is for read with the show; it somehow make you think that you looing at how these women are living that you are ashame of yourself for not living like they do. Dwight, could have been more of man than more of a woman; the hairdresser; God know’s what that is and why would she/he want’s be part of this program. I think only one person got a bad deal; Kandi might go somewhere; but staying among these other ladies cast a doubt on her image too. I think she can be more appealing if she get’ the right hairstyle. I am sticking with my comments!

These demons do nothing but perpetuate stereotypes and give our impressionable young women ideas that they can achieve without hard work.

Unplug those televisions and tune out the hip hop nonsense that has poisoned another generation of our people !

These cheap hussies are highly representative of Atlanta. My schools were full of their half-wit offspring. You should have seen their REAL test scores ! Its no wonder they are so stupid when you consider the broodmares that squeezed them out so that they can be babysat in the taxpayer-funded government daycare centers known as public education.Instead of meeting with my teachers at PTA meetings they were at home watching Real Housewives of Atlanta or BET.

I left this show alone when Love & Hip-Hop debuted last year on VH-1. At least THAT show has a central theme: the women are aspiring artists or involved with an artist…what’s the central theme on the Housewives show, again?

Besides, the clothing, hair, make-up, & over-all style of the ladies on Love & Hip Hop is current, urban-chic & fantastic. Very exciting to watch and get ideas from them. I can’t say the same for the Housewives series…yawn!

I have gotten to know the real Sheree Whitfield this year as just another Football/Cheerleading mom watching her child at Friday night Football games this fall. She is a very down to earth and real person. She is nothing like what Bravo has her protraited as. In fact is their are younger Ghetto mother’s on our Cheerleading team who think they are little hard ass NENE’s but Sheree is not on bit Ghetto.

Sheree is just like many other moms both white and black who have had to deal with dead beat dad’s who just fade out of their kids like. Bob Whitfield, former Pro Bowl Altanta Falcon player never bother’s to show up and watch his son playing football on a Friday night. He also has stopped paying for private school, so his kids are in Public School. My conversations with Sheree and her best friend of twenty years have centered around that at this News Week Rated #1 in Fulton County School, There are many of us, who once had our kids in Private school. But we are now all divorced mom’s who don’t have paying ex’s who’s kids are no longer in Private Schools. I then pointed to my daughter, the football kicker. I told her there is even some with married parents who the economy has hit and were with us in Private school too. We talked about how sad it is for her son not to have his father watch him in any games. I told her the kicker on the team has the same issues, he is also on the baseball team. His Mom has told me for years how sad that is.

Sheree does not act like a diva in the stands or anything. In fact most people do not even know who she is. My 11 year old goes bolting done in front of her. It was camo night, “Hunting for Holy Innocents Bears”, my daughter had on an Army Camo jacket desert pattern, blue camo pants, and $153 Coach shoes on. Sheree told her she loved the looked.

My daughter says that Sheree’s and Bob Whitfield’s son who is only a 2nd or 3rd string football player is a nice kid. He goes out to Waffel house with the rest of them after games on Friday nights. He is one of the nicer and more respectful boys. Which clearly means that Sheree is doing something write.

So as far as I am concerned Sheree Whitfield is just trying to earn a living, by doing the Bravo show. She definitely does not live out in Duluth like NeNE and Kim, but live in Sandy Springs.

“Dead Beat Dads”.

Some adult female is choosing these studs to get them knocked up ! You might want to invest a little time with stud boy and get some committment before you decide to crank out yet another unwanted child the the taxpayers will have to support !
