Newnan’s DeAnna Pappas (”The Bachelorette” from 2008) marries

Newnan realtor DeAnna Pappas charmed ABC viewers in 2007 and 2008, first on “The Bachelor,” then “The Bachelorette.”

This past weekend, she got married in Palmetto – just not with anybody related to the TV show.

Her husband is Stephen Stagliano, a high school teacher.

According to People magazine, “The bride walked down the aisle in a strapless Disney Bridal wedding gown with a birdcage veil and cowboy boots.”

She picked pro snowboarder Jesse Csincsak on “The Bachelorette” in 2008 but their engagement lasted only a few months. (As anyone who watches these shows knows, the track record for actual nuptials is abysmal.)

Stephen’s twin brother Michael is a reality show regular. Michael was on “The Bachelorette” in 2009, a year after Pappas’ season. DeAnna met Stephen at a taping of “The Bachelorette: The Men Tell All.” (Michael won “Bachelor Pad” with another contestant this past summer, splitting $250,000.)

Stephen proposed to DeAnna last year. Here’s a Tweet she posted a few days ago:

Thank u all for following me throughout my love story. In 4 days, I will marry the best man that I have ever known. Thank you @StephenStag for making me the woman I always wanted 2 be. U are the best thing that has ever happened 2 me.♥

…to the snowboarder that “U are the best thing that has ever happened 2 me”, too? Wake me in 4 months if this marriage is still working…

And, what’s with all these reality “hook-up” shows recycling the same old losers for different shows?

Never understood why she got to be the bachelorette. Jenni was hotter & had a much better personality.

DeAnna,

Anyone can tell you that I am not a fan of this type of media, dating shows, etc. I refuse to watch this nonsense with my wife and can’t imagine anyone, other than the desperate or attention seekers, needing a TV show to find that special person.

However…

I am glad to hear that you married what seems to be a “real man” and a teacher and this tells me you have grown up too beyond this TV nonsense.

And just ignore these idiots on here before or after me that write cruel and unnecessary comments. you and I both know they are immensely jealous of anyone, grossly insecure, and probably hopelessly destined to be the laggards and taker in life. Just ignore these girly men and best of luck with your new husband…may you be married “until death do you part” and may you be blessed with precious children and I have been with the two daughters my special wife has given me.

Best of luck!

Rodney,

I actually think this is one of your best stories yet! It’s real and sure beats the Hollywood drama drivel we see from time to time!

Good job finding a REAL success story!

As someone who knows her personally, it’s a good thing Deanna looks good. She is snobbish and arrogant.

Do you know if she dated both twins? I heard she was stuck together with both of them at different times…

does anyone still care about this girl?… She is not even that hot for TV and is a self absorbed snob who thinks she is the greatest thing to ever happen. Run while you can Stephen. Give this thing six months tops anyway.

Wow, a young couple gets married and every single comment pertains to trying to rip them apart and downplay their nuptuals. Hell of a thing society has come to.

“Normally, I’d wish a young couple in love the best of luck and congratulate you both on making a commitment to each other. However, you’ve been on TV, so instead I will childishly rip you apart and bet your divorced in record time. That’s your fault for being on TV and therefore making me hate you without knowing you.”
