TV best bets with season finales of ‘Royal Pains,’ ‘Hot in Cleveland,’ ‘Sunday Best’

hot_in_cleveland_castSeveral 9/11-themed programs are set this week, most notably TLC’s Sunday evening “Heroes of the 88th Floor.” Two unheralded heroes get deserved airtime and if you don’t get teary, you’re not human.

And you know it’s the end of the summer is near with “Royal Pains” on USA Wednesday ending its seasonal run, along with “Hot In Cleveland” on TV Land finishing season two an hour later. Meanwhile, on Sunday, Atlanta-shot “Sunday Best” on BET crowns its winner.


“Basketball Wives L.A.” 8 p.m. VH1 (new series) — VH1 is hoping to turn “Basketball Wives” into its own little “Real Housewives” franchise.
Eureka” 8 p.m. Syfy — Sen. Wen conducts final evaluations of the Astraeus candidate.
The Closer” 9 p.m. TNT — Squad members are deposed in regard to the lawsuit.
“HGTV Design Star” 9 p.m. HGTV — Nate Berkus guests.
Hoarders” 9 p.m. A&E (fourth season finale) — A look at how five hoarders have done since season three.
Warehouse 13” 9 p.m. Syfy — Warehouse agents interrogate Stukowski for using artifacts to kill regents.
“Carfellas” 10 p.m. Discovery (new series)— A reformed convict becomes a used car dealer.
“Rizzoli & Isles” 10 p.m. TNT — A mysterious ex from Maura’s past shows up.
Ridiculousness” 10 p.m. MTV (new series) — Rob Drydek hosts a clip show of viral videos of people doing stupid things.
Weeds” 10 p.m. Showtime — Nancy, Andy and Silas plot revenge against Emma.
Death Valley” 10:30 p.m. MTV (new series) — A mockumentary team follows cops who deal with the undead.

Cocaine: A History Between the Lines” 8 p.m. History — Cocaine goes back to 3000 B.C.
Pretty Little Liars” 8 p.m. ABC Family (second season summer finale) — A vengeful “A” punishes the girls for talking to Dr. Sullivan.
“America’s Got Talent” 9 p.m. NBC — Twelve more acts battle for the finals.
Flipping Out” 9 p.m. Bravo — Jeff is flipping out over a contractor seeking legal action and Jenni’s future with the company.
Big Sexy” 10 p.m. TLC (new series) — Five plus-sized women seek modeling and fashion careers.
Born to Dance” 10 p.m. BET — The remaining dancers shoot a commercial for a vacuum cleaner.
Combat Hospital” 10 p.m. ABC — Rebecca takes over triage when Col. Marks is injured in an explosion.
“Teen Mom” 10 p.m. MTV — Catelynn reunites with her dad.

“America’s Got Talent” 9 p.m. NBC — After tonight, the top 10 is now set.
Roseanne’s Nuts” 9 p.m. Lifetime — Roseanne goes back to Salt Lake City where she grew up.
“Royal Pains” 9 p.m. USA (third season summer finale) — An art collector (Wilmer Valderrama) loses consciousness.
The Franchise” 10 p.m. Showtime (first season finale) — A behind-the-scenes look at the Giants, who have been struggling lately.
Hot in Cleveland” 10 p.m. TV Land (second season finale) — It’s like “The Hangover” and Elka is gone!

“I Faked My Own Death” 10 tonight Discovery (new series) — A plane crash is staged.

I dont know what show this is —-but last night our phone kept ringing & people said they
saw it on TV (my number)_ I think who ever puts this on might want to check
the number —– as my toll free number was ringing off the hook –& we had to
unplug it so we could SLEEP
