NBC’s ‘The Voice’ auditions August 5 and 6 in Atlanta

For season one, NBC primarily found talent themselves for “The Voice,” getting ideas from people in the music industry and sifting through MySpace and YouTube for hidden gems.

This year, they are continuing to take that route but are adding open auditions as well. This Friday and Saturday, you can try out for the NBC hit show in Atlanta.

Here’s how the publicists are promoting it:

WHAT: NBC’s new hit show “The Voice,” will be holding auditions for the best vocal talent to appear in season 2. The producers are looking for all musical styles. If selected, singers will be mentored by music industry professionals and compete weekly in front of a panel of celebrity coaches Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton. America will decide which singer is worthy of the grand prize. Singers should be prepared to share personal stories and explain why they are a star in the making. Applicants must be at least 16 years or older and a legal U.S. resident to apply. All artists must register at http://www.nbc.com/the-voice/about/casting/. Once registered they will be given an “Artist Audition Pass” with a day and time to show up to the open call.

WHERE: Atlanta Convention Center at America’s Mart

240 Peachtree St. NW

Atlanta, GA 30303

Over the years, “American Idol” and “America’s Got Talent” has set up shop at America’s Mart.

“The Voice” returns in January after the Super Bowl with the original four judges.

Rodney sings? I didn’t know that Mr. Ed.

I DO know that he’s a talented and well informed writer who obviously works his ass off and seems to love his job.

Somebody told us on those morning shows all they do is …talk at the same time and laugh at everything…actually an 8th grade level audience.

Honey –

The “Voice?” …It should be called “The having trouble sleeping then watch this show”…

But all jokes aside, this show needs to be taken off the air!

Love Ya!

So will Christina, Blake, CeeLo, and Adam be the celebrity judges next season 2, or will they have new ones?

Hey does anyone know about the audition process?? Like how many stages there are, how much do you sing; a whole song or just a couple verses? Should you expect to stay a while if you make it past the first round? I’m auditioning tomorrow and really need some answers and I haven’t been able to find them anywhere else…
