Kim, Kandi (with better hair!) and Phaedra at the reunion. CREDIT Bravo
I’m officially over the NeNe and Kim soap opera. The producers and Andy Cohen mined the bus argument yet again in the second half of the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” reunion at the Georgia Aquarium. Enough already! We get it!
Fortunately, both Kim and NeNe are clear the friendship is over for good. Can we please move on? Thank you!
Surprisingly, Kandi was the most emotional one this hour. She got teary-eyed over how her daughter Riley‘’s father still isn’t in the picture and how sad that is. She also cried later over the “Tardy for the Party” money situation. Will that ever really be resolved? Who knows? Kim clearly listened to her lawyer and Kandi is still deeply hurt. Andy didn’t get a straight answer when he asked if Kim felt like she was more integral in the success of the song than Kandi. My opinion: Kandi made the song itself palatable. Kim’s distinct lack of vocal talent ironically made the whole thing the kitschy success that it is. So it’s a split decision there.
We also finally got an admission from Phaedra that the baby was conceived with Apollo before they married. She gave a rather convoluted, fuzzy answer why she was not honest with the other housewives while pregnant about her due date. She said she had trouble conceiving and wasn’t sure if the baby was healthy. (What does that have to do with the due date?)
As for future plans, Kim said her wig line is still moving forward but she’s naturally focused on her pregnancy. Phaedra, always ready to shock us, is looking into buying a funeral home. (I guess it beats a clothing line.) Kandi is less surprisingly looking into a line of sex toys. Cynthia is considering a modeling school, which is a good idea. And Sheree hasn’t gotten any big acting breaks so she’ s resurrecting the clothing line. (Is that a promise or a threat?)
No word on who’s coming back for season four. NeNe has intimated to media that she isn’t keen on it. We should find out relatively soon assuming Bravo decides on a spring shooting schedule as it has the first three seasons. If NeNe leaves, will Bravo bring in a fresh face? Again, Bravo has said nothing to date.
RATINGS UPDATE: I think the Super Bowl break a week earlier blunted the reunion audience last week. (The tiresome Kim/NeNe brouhaha may have finally played out.) After the finale episode drew a record 4.4 million viewers, the reunion, part one, drew a mere 2.4 million (though it was against the Grammys). That’s still a great number but a bit of a letdown, relatively speaking.

Nene needs to stop telling Kim to close her legs to married men, nene left all her class and dignity in the strip club several years ago, and will never find it again! It’s bouncing around from crotch to crotch!
