Suchita Vadlamani has left ‘Good Day Atlanta’
Morning host Suchita Vadlamani, rumored to be leaving “Good Day Atlanta” earlier this month, has actually left the building for good on her own volition, her attorney Mark Trigg told me today.
He referred to her Facebook fan page, where she provided a brief statement:
It’s official! After a memorable 8 1/2 yrs at Good Day, it’s time for another big adventure! Join me as I take it to the next level!
Loading ...Vadlamani, through Trigg, declined to comment further. If she has plans for the near future, she is not saying.
No word yet from WAGA-TV who will replace her. Karen Graham would be the most obvious pick since she is already part of the morning team.
The station released this statement:
“Suchita Vadlamani has resigned from FOX 5 to pursue other personal interests and professional opportunities. We thank her for her contributions to the FOX 5 team over the past 8-1/2 years and wish her the very best in all her future endeavors.”
On Dec. 9, Ryan Cameron announced on V-103 that she had been fired, then retracted the statement. This fueled rumors of her impending departure. At the time, Trigg denied she was leaving though she had suspiciously cleaned up her desk at WAGA.
WAGA has recently gone through major management changes at the top. This is the first sign of more changes to come, for sure. In recent weeks, the “Good Day Atlanta” show has opted for more hard news, fewer softer features.

I’m up at 6 most mornings, and leave shortly after. I sometimes tune in just for background noise or a little info in case some big event happened overnight, to get the temp etc. But I think it’s clear who watches these shows in earnest..you can tell by who’s on them as guests, hosts, etc. Most go for the ghetto scene, but channel 46 goes for the younger grunge crowd. They have a male queen with eyeliner, a black woman with pouty/ugly lips and a young perky hispanic who is annoying as hell.

The woman was intelligent, witty, sassy, and very attractive. Whoever disagrees can be happy to know that I’m glad you’re not on the morning television with your ignorant antics. Ppl are so hateful. She brought spunk to the show and she kept her counterpart on their toes.

The comments from this blog shows that ATL is still divided in soooooooo many ways. People, can we made comments without all of the racial over tones and gender based snippets? Is the education level of the people blogging here is so bad that we can’t make a well thoughout statements without putting their feet in there mouths?

Fox 5 is a good station. I like the Morning Show Team. Suchita will be missed. She was a down to earth kinda girl and because she is a sophisticated lady some of you mistake that for being uppity!!! Classy women always have that air about them and I love it !!! I liked it when she wore her hair down. !!! Fox 5 you better bring another person pleasing to the eye like Suchita or you will lose me !!!

Now if there would get rid of Amanda Davis. She always appears nervous and afraid. Her hands always underneath the desk. Also get rid of the 11pm guy Tom Hayes. He isn’t a good fit. I really like Doug Evans and Deirdre Dukes they are a good fit together. They seem like down to earth nice people you would like to hang out with. That is important in news to feel that connection. Russ is also great!

Suchita is very seductive and not so young anymore, when I first moved here I sent a nice fan email to her and was ignored, rude? I find her to be one of those that will not have kids, so as not to ruin her shape or career goals, I also think she is a social climber and probably a bit ashamed of her Indian heritage, over compensates by not touching the lower classes. There are 100’s of thousands to take her place and not a one has real assets, better living through chemicals.

I bet Suchita would have stayed if Fox 5 had gotten rid of the airhead who “inherited” the name “the Road Warrior.” (Her processors were much more qualified) She’s not adept at her job (constantly stammering), yet she remains on the show. It makes one wonder how she got, and continues to keep, the job.
Suchita, you made it OK to watch Fox news! My mornings will never be the same.

The lady is leaving a job to start a new career. Why so much Hate? Comparing looks,and talent, and saying so many ugly things. People come on!! Start being more polite and concerned for other’s feelings. Wish her luck, blessings, and MOVE on. STEVE Malone…the weekend, morning weather guy should GO next. He is clearly out of his league. It amazes me that they would put someone like him with no skills, qualification in a market such as Atlanta even in the mornings when most people are not watching. The photograph above looks better than and portrays a more adventurous image than she did on t.v. Looks like she’s trying to portray something she’s not in the photograph. But we enjoyed and will miss her. Wish her the best and shame on Ryan Cameron for trying to bring some attention to his lame show any way he could.

I, for one, will miss her. One of the few morning shows that offered substance – and not the same teleprompter reading “anchors” that just scream bad news at ya at 6 in the morning.
Good luck, lady ! I always thought you were too classy for Atlanta.
If anyone else doubts that…look around at the other network news anchors.
