You can see ‘Sarah Palin’s Alaska’ from Atlanta

sarah-palins-alaska-12

TLC is offering Atlanta an opportunity to sample its new series “Sarah Palin’s Alaska” in a special theater screening on Wednesday, Nov. 10 at 7 p.m.at the Carmike 12 in Snellville.

Tickets are free, available on a first-come, first-serve basis and can be accessed at TLC.com/SPAlaska-Atlanta.

This widely-anticipated eight-part documentary (nope, TLC is not calling it a reality series) takes viewers into the state through Palin’s eyes.

According to the press release:

In each episode, various family members join Sarah as she shares the state she knows and loves – from salmon fishing in Bristol Bay to hiking along one of our country’s most breathtaking glaciers. Along with Alaska’s great wilderness, the Palins encounter Alaska’s fascinating residents and share what it takes to thrive in the country’s largest state.

The series debuts Nov. 14 at 9 p.m.

Wonder if this will be another one-episode series for her. She’s not a pundit, a talking head or an interviewer. So why for heaven’s sake do networks pay this woman?

Gov. Sarah Palin’s Alaska documentary series will be a wonderful blessing for her fans, a ratings bonanza for TLC, and a gold-mine for her sponsors. She is America’s Sweetheart.

Rick, it’s hard to beleive she is America’s sweetheart when her unfavorable ratings are higher than her favorables among the American people. Granted, she’s popular among Republicans, but overall that’s just not true.

Does anyone know if she completed the whole series, or did she quit in the middle?

Uh, seems like a lot of Republicans can’t stand her. Even today Rove was pretty dismissive of her abilities. Many Republican power players were openly appalled by McCain’s choice of VP.

She is not “great” at anything other than she is super strong at rallying her base and comes off as very down to earth unless your’e a liberal and that gene you have in your blood stream is not your fault. Really, it’s not your fault.

Ok George Will found her lightweight. Colin Powell publically said that he’d vote for Obama because he felt that if McCain was dumb enough to pick her, then he was too dumb to be President. The LA Go & other rising stars of the Republian party aren’t exactly knocking down her door either.

Heck, even McCain staffers found her unbelievably unqualified. One or two staffers would’ve been one thing but the sheer number point to there being more than smoke.

She is a buffoon. It took her 6 years and 3 different no name schools to finally get her BA. When asked what she reads, she could not name a single book, magazine, etc. She claimed that living in proximity to Russia gave her foreign policy insight. She is a bigot and if 40-45% of people in this country are like her, then all that proves is that 40-45% of this country are poorly educated, uninformed, creationism-believing, evolution-denying yo yos.

USMC Dawg… I’m not a liberal, but even I think she is a joke. The main reason a lot of people want her to get the Republican Presidential Nomination in 2012 is because she is the only person on the planet right now that could lose to Obama. For that reason alone I think she has more Democrat supporters than Republican.

This show is gonna have very high ratings. The real Sarah Palin is nothing like the caricature and interview-edited person presented to us by the LSM in 2008.

She is a very nice person and a competent experienced leader. The way Obama is such a failure, I can see Sarah moving into the White House from my apartment.

I see the usual boringly vapid idiocy from the leftards on this thread.

Just whistle past the graveyard and sneer your supporters to sleep, leftards. Miss Underestimated thanks you and will gratefully wake you for the Grand Old Party she’ll be throwing on election night. (It’ll start early.)

Some of you are showing your ignorance. If you’d bother to actually check for yourself, you’d find that she is a proven leader. For those of you who use the quitter meme, you’re either stupid or a liar. She was being driven into bankruptcy by the minions of Obama. She left the job that she loved and excelled at. Some of you just need to get a life and then get a clue.

The people who kept insisting that Palin was not qualified to be vice president were the same ones who were sure that Barack Obama would be the most wonderful president since Lincoln. It is true that he will be a historic president–he is on course to be the worst since Hoover. Two years after his election the unemployment rate is near double digits and Obama has no idea of what to do other than to keep trying things that have failed. The government debt is rapidly rising on an unsustainable path–if it is not brought into check, we will soon have a financial crisis that will dwarf the 2008 crisis. Obama is thin-skinned, hyper-partisan, and deeply divisive. Two years ago Sarah Palin recognized that Obama would be a disaster as president, which is why she has been preparing for a presidential run. As for Palin’s critics, if they could not discern that Obama was totally unqualified to be president, why should anyone take their opinion of her seriously?

What I love most about Sarah is how effortlessly she exposes leftists for being hypocrites, liars and irrational cry-babies. Look at Kevin’s post about how she is a “bigot,” followed by hate-filled, bigoted name-calling.

You say, “rationing,” we say, “death panels.” Come Tuesday, let’s call the whole thing off.

She had an abortion. And we don’t hate her for not aborting Trig because she didn’t have him. Her book states she had him in one hospital and in a speech she said she had him in another hospital. That’s what happens when you lie. Sad but true.

She’s a bully. And she hangs around with Scientologists.

And that hopey changey thing is working out swell for her. How can people be so dumb to send her money? She gave 10K to Christine O’Donnell.

And remember, I survived Bush and you’ll survive Obama.

She’s everything women are supposed to be allowed to do, but because she wants to ban baby killing she’s hated. Mom, business woman, governor and she did it all by herself. Without a machine pushing her or being “made” by her husband. I pray that all women are as brave and strong as Sarah Palin. We’d have a better country.

Bush inherited a surplus and ran up the biggest deficit in the history of the US. Bush spent more than Carter and Clinton combined. Blaming Obama for the current state of the economy is like blaming a firefighter for starting the fire.

Anyone who would support her in a presidential campaign is even more ignorant that she is!!!

S. Simmons

Kevin, Bill Clinton did not have a surplus. Sorry, but that is a myth.

If he had created a surplus in the budget, one would expect that the national debt would have decreased. Instead, every year Clinton was in office, the national debt increased. Clinton paid down public debt by increasing borrowing on Social Security, which increased the national debt (in a nutshell).

Don’t believe me? Go look at the US Treasury website and see the data from 1993-2001 for yourself. Bush did not inherit a surplus. Both he and Clinton increased our national debt by deficit spending. Clinton covered his by borrowing from SS and decreasing Public Holdings. That’s the truth.

As to you, Mike: that kind of bullying might have worked for you (or against you) in middle school, but we are adults. If you can’t put forth a more intelligent argument against a Sarah Palin presidency than, “if you support her, you’re an idiot,” are you really in a place to judge anyone’s intelligence?

That’s a rhetorical question.

Now, what was that about Gov. Palin?
