The Soul Train Awards will be returning to Atlanta in November, this time at the Cobb Energy Centre.
The taping is set for November 10 and will air on Centric and BET on November 28.
Last year, the awards came back after a couple years off and aired for the first time on BET and Centric. It was taped at the Georgia World Congress Center and honored an emotional Chaka Khan and Charlie Wilson. Performers included Robin Thicke, Mario, local rising star Keri Hilson, and part-time Atlantan Toni Braxton.
Last year’s hosts were Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson. The network has not announced performers, hosts or honorees just yet.

I guess I missed Beyonce’s performance at the BET Awards. Can’t understand why all the hate on Beyonce?
Maybe she has to get arrested and serve prison time before she earns any respect.
Beyonce is out there working hard and minding her own business. It’s funny how the public wants you to fail. People really don’t want you to succeed. So much hate and jealousy.
I’m sure your answer to that is ” you are not hating, she just doesn’t have any talent”. Yea, right…
So Ms. Beyonce, just keep doing your thing.

Rodney it was Charlie Wilson who was honored, Not Charlie Parker. Big difference!

Rodney at least have the decency to acknowledge you were wrong in your ORIGINAL piece. You wrote “Charlie Parker” not “Charlie Wilson”. People do not expect you to be perfect. We do expect you to be man enough to thank Champagne for bringing your error to light! Please do not play the “sneaky Asian” stereotype.
