Wow. That was quite a moment when Chris Brown broke down singing “Man in the Mirror” on the BET Awards last night during his Michael Jackson tribute. Why did he get so emotional?

Who cares? I’m just happy to see him performing again. He has payed the price. Let him move on with his life, please!! Charlie Sheen has abused his wife, I don’t see where his career is suffering. Leave Chris Brown alone!

Tracy Lawrence is a country singer. In March 1997, Lawrence married his 2nd wife Stacie Drew, a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader. By December she had filed charges against him. He was eventually convicted of misdemeanor battery and suspended by his record label until he got “his personal matters straight.” He was ordered to pay a $500 fine to a women’s shelter in Las Vegas

If you think for one minute that this was real or that he “Saw himself in the mirror” you’re crazy and deserve to be duped. Also, I got some prime beach-front property in Antarctica to sell you. This fool is nothing more than an opportunist who used this platform (& you) in attempt to resurrect his sad career. The ONLY thing he earned last night was possibly an Academy Award for his “Acting”. He’s not sorry for anything except that he got caught.

I am so proud of him @Lois – that is exactly what I thought – he took a moment to absorb the fact that he had to look in the mirror – start with him and accept his responsibilities for his own actions. His performance was AWESOME – He is a human being like everyone else just in the spot light – He needs to forgive himself now and as long as God has forgiven him – he shouldn’t worry about what anyone else thinks!!

Abusers are emotional. That’s one of the sources of abuse. It’s perfectly in line with what they do.
That being said, I think people need to give him a break. An abusive relationship is co-dependent: Let some guy hit a woman that wouldn’t take it. She would call the police, press charges, show up for court, forget his number and went on with her life. The relationship would have abruptly ended.
So as long as he doesn’t get back with Rihanna and find some strong woman, I think he should be OK.

Fake! Used an opportunity to draw sympathy for himself.
No wonder crime is so high, people in the community forgive all of the criminals…Chris Brown, R. Kelly(if you saw the tape the verdict was a joke), Mike Vick, O.J. Simpson, Lil’ Wayne, T.I … just adored and supported by the black community-
Woman beating, weed smoking, child molesting, dog killing-and gambling ring running, silencer buying, gun toting, and murdering, THUGS who move and touch a community! What a joke. And the women just go crazy and love to have babies for and by these clowns! And the children suffer.
He beat the hell out of a woman and drove off and left. Had there not been pictures people would have defended and made excuses for him too. And why? Because he’s cute and can sing and dance? I wonder if you’d forgive him for beating the hell out of one of your female relatives! I wouldn’t.
More Will Smith, Jada Pinkett-Smith, Jill Scott, John Legend, and positive people please. Do all black heroes have to go to jail?!
So tired of this thug era, the thugs and stupid people who support them.

Its very understandable why people don’t want to forgive Chris Brown because what he did was terrible. But, the thing you’ve got to realize is the man is a triple threat and those are so rare to ACTUALLY come by. The term ‘triple threat’ gets tossed around a lot but the only ones that are actually out there right now are C Brown, J Foxx, and my man J Timberlake. And that is it folks, holla if ya heard me on that.

He’s been away for a long time. As Rodney Ho stated, he’s been in purgatory for a long time. Just knowing you’re at the threshold of getting your life back would bring tears to any person’s eyes!!!

Hell-bent – ummmm…..that can go both ways – although he shouldn’t have hit her – you do realize that rhiana used a platform to right – you do know that she hit him first right – you do know that her own family talked about her temper right – at the end of the day – if he was fake – then oh well – let those tears roll all the way to the bank – rhiana did – she didn’t want to speak to the public then all of a sudden right before her album drops she appears on major news networks and talk shows to speak – she became the all of a sudden down trodden woe is me victim – talk about fake and a platform-wow give him the best male actor but make sure you give rhiana the best female as well – her album dropped shortly thereafter – i am sure that her desire to all of a sudden speak publicly had nothing to do with that – there are three sides to every story – his story her story and the truth – he never said what happened – you got her version – and believe me she wouldn’t dare tell you her role in the incident.

Chris Brown’s breakdown was real. No one can fake big crocodile tears like that, especially on the spot. This boy’s entire career is attributed to the iconic Michael Jackson & he was denied the right to perform at the MJ dedicated awards show last year due to Beyonce & JayZ’s boycott. If ANYONE should have been on that stage last year, it should have been that child. So he finally got to pay homage to his idol.
He made a mistake with Rihanna (who on this Earth has never made a mistake in life). None of us know exactly what happened in that car or what was said or done to provoke the fight. I truly believed he has learned his lesson. LET IT GO!!!!!!

I said what I said and I stand by it – we were not there – personally it is not my business, they are entertainers and their personal lives are just that their personal lives. I said what i said because – we don’t know what took place – he snapped-was he wrong YES!!! does he deserve forgiveness, YES, if that makes me or others who thinks that he does stupid – your opinion you are entitled to it. I am a firm believer in what my granny used to say and that is that there are only two types of people – the caught and the UN caught-whether black white red or brown – black stars do not have all that get real mentioned on lock down – believe me it runs rampant and without color – for every crime he mentioned pertaining to a black entertainer I could name a white one. I say that to say it has no color. No, I do not like the way some of the entertainers have carried themselves, but face facts if we went through their personal lives and dissected them – the industry would have to go bankrupt – just as well i thought it funny he mentioned some people he thought were “positive” balck people – those same people mentioned have all gone through scandals of their own-they might not have been as public as others-but they have.

Of course one can fake crocodile tears. It’s called acting. Nonetheless, Chris Brown has been in hell and this incident will forever taint this career. Man I agree with Hell Bent and Get Real but at the same time I agree with Stand Alone too it is quite possible for some one to feel remorseful for past deeds and actions… I think that we as people need to recognize that people can just genuinely want forgiveness for things you have to keep in mind most people who get in trouble for something this have atleast the privacy of their own personal lives to heal and Chris hasn’t had that his album, awesome though it was, had very poor sales… He had a tour that was pathetic lol… He can’t even find sufficient work as an actor right now… Keep in mind people its easy persecute people especially those in the public eye but its hard to forgive… I don’t care what anyone says he’s done all the time they asked paid all the dues sought out psychiatric help the whole nine so who are we to try and gauge whether or not he is truly apologetic??? It just sounds to me like yall want someone to keep downtrodden… Tiger cheated on his wife several times SEVERAL!!! Now that he’s back in the public eye again they’re not booing they know what he’s done and they let it go… With that being said no one has to forgive Chris its your choice but don’t sit on this computer and act like he can’t possibly be sorry… Don’t act like you as a person have never done something that you yourself aren’t proud of and needed that forgivenss yourself before… Bottom line Don’t Judge!!! Leave CB alone… seriously its so ignorant and childish to gossip this way about him. What is done is done and let GOD forgive and help him with what he has done. F&@k Chris Brown and Rhianna! He paid no price
for what he did. Did he 3-5 years in jail? Did he stay
in jail long enough to be raped, or even mentally destroyed?
Of course not! Celebrity status got him off, not to mention his
record label! Why do Blacks look up to the lowest common
denominator in Society. Bill Cosby’s educated comments
mean less than what Micheal Jackson,Chris Brown or T.I. say!
I’m not surprised to hear people speaking as if “Cristina” Brown was
persecuted/crucified like Vick,2Pac, and the like. If you do the crime,
you should do the the time, regardless if you are a young,Black celebrity
or not.
Why give this “kid” a break? Does Black society give other black males a
break for their sins? HELL NO.
Part of the problem is Black womens’ acceptance of lowgrade behavior
in a man, as long as he “resembles” guys like Vick,2Pac,Lil Wayne,Gucci Mane,
Rick Ross. Why accept the abuse and disrespect from this particular man,
but perhaps not from a man who doesn’t talk/walk/dress/act like a rapper or
athlete?
You may not like what I’ve written, but you look at the person in the
mirror and ask why you protect people with status.None of the
average brothers that are incarcerated seem to get applause from
a BET audience.
I also agree that alot of women have “mouth” issues, but it doesn’t
mean I should whoop her ass like she’s a man. Rhianna is disgusting
as well because “she” kept making appearances, selling music, posing.
If she wasn’t looking to prosper off of this, she could have gotten away
from the business! This means giving make-up contracts and that probably
isn’t good when you’re money hungry and dysfunctional.

Let me ask all of you who are still dogging CB for hitting Rhianna? How many of you have hit your woman/man over the years. Even a light slap in the face, or a harsh grab of their arm. How many of YOU have placed even the smallest amount of fear in your mate’s eyes? Yeah right, like a truthful answer will be given by these hypocrites!

Why are we so unforgiving concerning Chris Brown? Why is the Today show doing a segment on Chris’s performance? I don’t understand how Charlie Sheen can put a KNIFE to his wife’s throat and yet it seems ok. His career still seems to be on track and if I remember correctly didn’t he just renew is show for of $1Million an epsoide. Yet it seems we want Chris Brown to have nothing. Why is the media portraying Charlie Sheen as an abusive husband, it’s not like this is the first time he’s abused a wife.

I believe that his emotions were real last night. I think that he was moved possibly for 2 reasons: 1) because Michael Jackson is his Idol, and he felt moved while he was imitating him(he misses MJ just like the rest of his fans. 2) He was moved by the audience because finally, he was onstage with people who will accept him, and he felt humbled by it. Let’s face it, Chris Brown has had a very rough year. He has been shut out of almost every radio station, and music event. There have been many other celebrities that have commited crimes, did drugs, and have made comebacks. Look at Robert Downey from Iron Man. The man was on drugs, and then all of a sudden came The iron man movie, and now look at him, he’s back making millions. Although, I don’t agree or condone what Chris Brown did to Rhianna, We really need to practice forgiveness, and forgive this young man. If you don’t forgive your fellow man(or woman) for things that they do, then how can you expect GOD to forgive you for your sins you have commited? Just a thought folks! Let’s forgive this young man. It’s time to move past the incident. Forgive folks. Just forgive! Chris Brown has paid his dues for the incident, It’s time to forgive and move on! Nuff Said!

DamntheButcher, I wasn’t even going to address your stupid comment that you made, but I feel compelled to. First off, you should not come on a blog and make comments like you did unless you know the history behind it. The BET awards(and even the BET channel), Miss Black America, Soul Train, and other events and channels these were born out of African American People being shut out of “Regular” awards shows and tv channels because of racism. Our entertainers were not being played or honored from the likes of CBS, ABC, NBC, and any other channel or venue. Thus, events and channels were born so that our entertainers, actors and singers could be seen and heard too. It was all born out of racism. Know your history before you make stupid comments, or just plain shut up!

I can’t understand the mentality where these entertainers feel we “have” to support..like and ….follow them. The early Chris Brown could sing, dance and had the million dollar smile. After the Rihanna incident I mentally wiped him off my hard drive and I don’t feel obligated to follow what he does or support anything he does. He can dance his ass off, but he can’t sing a lick anymore since his voice changed. Even without the croc tears he could not sing that song. Being an entertainer is a privilege….not a right. There’s nothing he could do that will make me care about anything about him. Trey Songz, Usher, Raheem, Joe, there’s a slew of male artists who are eating what used to be his lunch. he blew it.

@Todd-white people commiting crimes does not excuse black people who do or vice versa. This has nothing to do with race. If I’m not mistaken, Chris Brown (a black man) beat Rhianna (a black woman). I would think the black community would be outraged, but no, I saw someone post on this blog “all he did was punch his girlfriend in the face”

what really gets on my last nerve is all the women either defending his actions by stating that it was a while ago, or justifying his actions by blaming Rihanna for somehow instigating the beatdown. I’m not saying he is unforgiveable, but I am saying that we need to stop blaming the victim in all of this. And HE is certainly not the victim; he’s just the dude who has had to face the ugly consequences of his actions.

I love Chris brown. I am old enough to be his Grandmother and he is one of the few young entertainers that I like. I feel he should not hit girls, But that works both ways . I feel that girls should not hit boys. I hope both of them learned a listen in it. Because as he lost fans so did she. Everyone always take up for the girl and I can see why, But what would you do if someone was beating on you if you was trying to drive. Sometimes you can not control what is happening. we really only have oneside of the story , because Chris didnot really tell his side. And I believe that he would rather hurt and be talked about than to have her put down. In all I thank him for beening a man , because only a real man would have stood up as the bad guy, because as a older woman and have really been an abusive relationship, The man always tell the woman she is cause of the beating. I did walk away, Because It knew it was him. But in all I really saw last night ,that Chris have a lot of heart. So I love him, and may God be with him always.

nypeach – I agree he was wrong, he should have walked away. Restraint is powerful yet hard to maintain when you add in the heated moment and the youth. There are men who can’t restrain and they are alot older. My stance is this, no one knows what happened, it is obvious he snapped, he has wounds to show that an altercation on BOTH ends took place. I don’t blame Rhiana, she however did instigate it by her own admission in hitting him first. Here in Georgia, when both the male and the female have defensive wounds, they are BOTH taken to jail. He is a victim though, a victim of scruitny from the public eye. A public that can point fingers and blame and say sinister things, when its own closets are so full of skeletons its about to burst wide open. I do blame her as well though. Not for getting hit, but to use a serious issue such as domestic violence to further her career by going on talk shows a couple of weeks before her album came out after she said she didn’t want to speak to anyone about it. That is how i am able to say it is over .

I have never once read anything where Rihanna admits hitting him firt. Not once, and I am a journalist. I’ve never heard him say that she hit him first. He admits that there was an argument, that he hit her and that she scratched him in trying to defend herself. Not once has he publicly said that she hit him first. It’s a false assumption by the public that has been repeated so much that people now take it as the gospel truth. The only restrainted needed was him not punching her in face repeatedly and choking her, and then driving off and leaving her on the side of the road like trash.

He and Sheen both have issues with abuse. As far as the black community embracing criminals, that a load of crap! It all depends on who you talk to. There are plenty of people in our community who have made something of themselves and who is tired of crime. By the way crime is an American problem. There are plenty of criminals who have gotten a second chance in Hollywood. Look at Tim Allen. He did seven years in prison on a drug charge. Chris Brown has a right to a second chance as any of the other convicted or accused stars in Hollywood.

I loved Chris Browns performance. I’m glad he got the chance to do the tribute since he wasn’t allowed to do it last year. No one else came close. With that said, I don’t condone what he did at all but he has paid his price. He should he allowed to move on with his life and his career. Come on people. We rallied for Mike Vick when they wanted to kick him out of the NFL…he paid his dues, time served. You can’t destroy his lively hood just because he made a mistake. Hell, R Kelly made several mistakes but everyone still bought his music, book his shows for concerts, watched his videos and gave him awards. How hypocritical are we?

Chris honored the beloved MJ – in fact, he nailed it! Yes, he performed – afterall, he is an entertainer – a young one still; he continues to pay his pentence. I think the emotions were the real deal…. When he combines the significance of the tribute, the wake of his recent “major conduct error”, the very words of the song, the fact that a great deal of his dance motivation has come from MJ or MJ-esque influences, his very first formal time back in front of FANS & PEERS …. Hey, that can get the best of even the strongest entertainer. Even the hardened ganstas were moved. …. Rock on Chris!

@nypeach.. you have nerver read anything where Rihanna has admitted hitting him first.Maybe not in that infamous incident that happened in February of last year. But in her police report she admitted to an incident that happened before where they were involved in a verbal argument and she admitted hitting him first, and he pushed her against the wall.
She also admitted hitting her little brother over the head with a glass bottle. She too comes from a violent past. She admitted in the 20/20 interview that ‘we were both dangerous for each other’.People close to them have said the problem is they are both too hot headed for their own good.
Insiders have reported numerous events where she has hit him first. On the night of the February incident, before they got in that car that she was seen taking off her shoe and hitting him on the head with the heel.
In light of that, people will automatically assume that on that night, maybe the same thing could have happened. It is no excuse for hitting her,he should of just walked away. However that is easier said than done when you are a hot headed youth with serious anger issues
They brought out the worst in each other and both abused each other. As one insider has said if you are not close to the situation and don’t know the two of them then you should be very very careful to put the blame on Chris Brown alone.

The National Coalition For Men (NCFM) calls on Rihanna to discuss her own reported violence against Brown as well if she wants to shed light on the problem honestly.
According to court records and other sources, Rihanna struck Brown in the face “numerous times” before Brown assaulted her (’http://news.ninemsn.com.au/entertainment/768865/rihanna-hit-chris-brow…’). NCFM purports although that would not justify his more severe assault, her violence should not be ignored, and if she does not ‘woman up’ to it then her message will be the usual one-sided double standards that leave female perpetration covered up.
The saying, ‘There is no excuse for domestic violence,’ applies to both sexes. Female violence in relationships is not rare but is often hypocritically deemed acceptable or humorous, such as in the film, Sideways. It is part of the cycle of domestic violence, which cannot be stopped without addressing the problem honestly. Children are damaged just by witnessing domestic violence, regardless of its severity.
If Rihanna sincerely wants to raise awareness about domestic violence, NCFM calls on her to be forthcoming about her own violence and to address the problem honestly.

This morning Ricky Smiley and another guy stated that you should never allow people to count you out and that Chris Brown is a really nice guy. Additionally, they stated he’s pretty much paid his dues and we should allow him to move on. They went on to state how God has a plan for Chris and a few other comments. I agree with a few points they made, but Chris sure wasn’t a nice guy when he was beating on her.
I was a huge Chris Brown fan and here’s the problem I have with him, Chris saw his mother abused, why repeat the cycle? He has spoken about how difficult it was to witness the abuse and his feelings toward the man who abused his mom. This seems to be a non-issue to the many of the people who are responding on this board. It’s one of the reasons why we are so messed up as a society, we just don’t care. We hold people up, even when they are wrong and we make sure to make plenty of excuses for them. People want to say she profited from it and she did this and that. No one was in that car but the two of them and you have people on this board speaking as if they were there and got the inside scoop, when in truth they could care less about any of us. Bottom line, a MAN can handle a woman without punching her, even if it means leaving her! A man nor woman should beat on one another, ever!
Now, why am I even bothering with this, we have a major problem when adults justify the beating of a young woman! That’s why a lot of young girls in MIDDLE and HIGH SCHOOL are being pounded by their boyfriends and are not telling anyone! They hear their ignorant mothers saying Riahnna shouldn’t have done this and that. They’re listening to the boys(men with the mentality of a preteen) laugh and joke about how Chris, “popped” her good and “everybody need to leave po Chris alone.” The message is very clear and adults are making sure of that! Many of the people on this post would give the same sympathy to a child abuser or child molester, which let’s you know the caliber of some people responding here. And no, I’m not going overboard here, how many cases have you heard of a mother knowing her child was being abused and did NOTHING?
I hope Chris has learned and has grown from this chapter in his life. I pray he understands what to do the next time, if he’s ever in a situation like that again (A MAN can get out without punching. It can be done, I’ve seen it happen.). In time, I hope he gets his career back and talk to others, encouraging them to NOT repeat the cycle of abuse.
In parting, my mother was involved with an abusive man. She was eight months pregnant when he blew her head off with a shotgun. He felt that if he couldn’t have her, no one would. My mom couldn’t just, “get over it”, death is permanent. A lot of people said he was a nice guy too. I refuse to repeat the cycle. Lesson learned early!

Marca, again, no proof that the night of the incident she hit first. But my point is not to ruin his career by holding this over his head forever. My point is that we as women need to stop accusing our sisters of bringing physical violence on themselves. The first instinct, it seemed, was to somehow make this her fault, and I think our community has a real problem with that. Was he sincere? Probably. But can we please let him accept the full consequences of his actions without hitting the “but she started” autopilot button. Just sayin’.

Since so many of you feel God’s awesome power should judge
Chris “B.I.” Brown, where was God when Rhianna was popping
off and getting her face tenderized!?
Young black women are lost. You’re not old enough to know
that getting your ass kicked is not acceptable. It has nothing
to do with throwing stones or being without sin, but more to do
with NOT ALLOWING OURSELVES TO BE DISRESPECTED
EVEN IT MEANS NOT DOING IT TO OURSELVES!!!
If you are a female and you think that Chris Brown deserves
better than what he’s getting now, then your fathers did a piss
poor job of raising you. Mothers should be ashamed as well.
I would disown my daughter for letting a man abuse her, I would
execute my son for abusing a woman.

Never heard of Tracy Lawrence but the following men are ABUSERS: Eminem, Charlie Sheen, Mickey Rourke, Sean Penn, Christian Slater, Tom Sizemore, John McEnroe, Andre Agassi, Steven Seagal, Tommy Lee (love him though), Paul McCartney, David Hasselhoff etc. The following men have been with UNDER AGE CHILDREN: Jerry Seinfeld (17 yr old H.S. student Shoshanna Lonstein), Rob Lowe (had an orgy w/16 yr old), Don Johnson (Melanie Griffith), Jack Nicholson (14 yr old Mia Farrow), Roman Polanski (convicted felon child rapist YET successful film maker) & Woody Allen (married the child he ADOPTED..ewwwww)! If these UPSTANDING GENTELMEN are allowed to move on with their lives, I THINK A KID who had 1 fight @ age 19 w/ a person who struck him 1st should also be able to move forward don’t you?

You don’t care about a black woman who was abused, because her abuser can sing and dance…you are trash. There are a lot of little black girls and young black women who are being abused and don’t report it-I guess it is ok if thier abusers can sing and dance.
You excuse makers are losers and failures to your Women and need to protect them. Again, there are plenty of good black men out there, stop glorifying the trash because they entertain you!

For those that say he couldn’t have faked that… he’s a performer. This was something that was orchestrated to shift the focus. “Look how sensitive he is. Awww, he’s really remorseful” – had he done that at the Grammy’s or MTV Music Awards, he would NOT have gotten that response. It’s not about talent as much anymore (there are plenty of talented MJ impersonators in Vegas & Japan that could perform equally-well.), it’s all about image and public perception.
And as someone who has been in the music industry for almost 20 years and works now with their legal and financial advisors, his incident with Rhianna was not his first and had there not been papparazzi around, this would have never come to light. These situations are ‘business matters’ where there is a lot of money involved/invested in the artists. They are pawns in some ways, and the labels ensure that their ‘performers’ are shielded and protected as much as possible.
If he wasn’t ‘milking it’ for those entire 4 minutes or so, he would have walked off the stage. Hope they break out the body language/facial expression experts to reveal how truly unconvincing his ‘performance’ was.

Whether Chris Brown’s performance last night was real or fake, he did his job as an entertainer. The tribute of dance to MJ was AMAZING!!!! Job well done. Everyone has a private life, unfortunately because of his status, that part of his life became public. NO ONE IS WITHOUT SIN!!!! It’s not right for us to judge him because there is only ONE JUDGE and we will all have our day before HIM sooner or later. As for my opinion (cause like butt-holes everyone has one) I do believe that he was wrong to put his hands on a woman, there’s no justification. But as far as paying his debt to society, he doesn’t owe us anything. I appreciate the gesture of him giving us an apology, but we are not the ones he has to answer to. As for the fans, I think that is where we as a society has gone wrong. The media said that he owes his fans all of these apologies and what not because he is a ROLE MODEL. WHY are we regaurding Chris Brown as a role model, he’s simply an ENTERTAINER!! So let him entertain….but we as a society; parents, uncles, aunts, grandparents, we have the duty to teach our children that by no means is it ever okay to HIT A WOMAN and just because a person is in the spotlight that doesn’t mean you have to immulate their every behavior. Please understand that we are all humans and none of us are without sin.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. This too is my only concern with everything that went down. I don’t understand this part when he’s been on tv discussing the abuse he witnessed his mother suffering. WOW, I was blown away. The sins of the father rests with the son!

All black people don’t identify with the losers I mentioned. In fact, many think that those dregs of society are a huge problem in the Black Community as they are proped up and used to sell products to young people while using derogotory and shameful messages to get paid.
If Chris Brown were white I would say he is the same low life punk, who faked cyring last night to get back in good graces with women, to sell albums and make money- that he is a Black Man
Steven Segal and Charlie Sheen are punks and low lifes too and should have family members of the women they abused beat the hell out of them.
Color doesn’t matter to me, actions do.
A mistake is not beating a woman, getting out of a car pulling said woman out of car, beating her somemore then driving off-that’s a crime.
If there were no pictures you’d be saying she was lying or making excuses for him.

@nypeacha – no public assumptions, as a journalist, you definitely should have known that there were NUMEROUS reports of her hitting him first. I googled enough articles to read about what happened. Not some news rags or gossip columns either. Maybe it was a slow news day and you missed it – but it was stated that she said so. As far as Chris with the public relations tour – i guessed i missed that because he went home and went into hiding -then it was stated BY RHIANA – that she went back to him-so we know he was with her for a couple of weeks-she however, decided she couldn’t do it-the only time I remember seeing him was after her appearances when he was on Larry King (who had gained the exclusive interview)
@browneyedqt – not a fool – stating the facts – i will not stoop to your level and call you anything – i am bigger than that – if you would go back and read my posts and what they were in reference to – you would see EVERYTHING I said – and in actually reading and comprehending my posts you would know that it was foolish of you to make the comments and call me a name.
BTW I have a daughter – I have let her know that she is to keep her hands to herself – I have seen women beat on men – however, men do not come forward because they see it as embarrassing. I never said it was OK to hit her, I also stated he should have walked away, BUT no one was in that car – it was reported she hit him FIRST (the FOOL said it again)-maybe that was his breaking point and we don’t know what transpired before or after that – we are only going by one version and guess who that version belongs to. Even when he appeared on Larry King – he NEVER told what happened that night.
I know of women who are hot headed and tempermental and all I am saying is that we as women need to know that we can’t keep putting our hands on someone and then we are shocked when they actually hit us back. Does it make it right for a man to hit a woman NO BUT Everyone has a breaking point, why do you think there is so much crime BLACK and WHITE related to it. Domestic violence is a SERIOUS issue – and if any woman feels like they are in danger – I pray that they stand strong and get out.
Bottom line, isn’t the justice system put in place to help rehabilitate people for their actions? He has done all that was required of him, it is OVER!!! They have both moved on and so should everyone else.

Not fake- he is an entertainer and would no want to squander an opportunity to “show-off” plus it doesnt take a rocket scientist to see that he was trying to keep going- a fake would have brokedown and milked the breakdown! which he did not do. he is a singer not a trained actor. even a trained actor would have multiple takes to get a performance that “real” right! I am not necessarily saying that because it wasnt fake you should forgive him- just that it definitely was not fake. @get real – yes it is to punish for your crime you commit, but it is to rehabilitate you as well – i guess when you go before the parole board to see if you can fit back into society – you don’t see that as if you have been rehabiliated? Because if you haven’t you don’t get out. No for me to have a daughter and write the things I do is not shocking it is keeping IT REAL!!! I teach and i have taught her several things including as I stated DO NOT put your hands on anyone. The UK is about money as well, and mark my words, after last night’s performance I promise you he will be over there soon. If there is a huge fan base and they see the profit it will happen, it is about business at the end of the day. For the record you are applauding Rhianna – you do know that after that beating she went back to him don’t you? I never condoned his actions, but I do believe in forgiveness. END OF STORY. I have questions for you – Do you know truly about OUR community? or are you just going by what is reported via the media? You seem to be stuck on only a couple of names as “positive” black people or are they the only ones you know?- i mentioned before the names you used have been involved in things of their own just NOT as public. While you are here to advocate for the BLACK community – let me ask you something. Who are the thugs or hoods selling meth in your community? Can you give us a community that we can use as an example? You only see what is portrayed in the media – you don’t see the good in our community – just this past April a young BLACK male 17 years old took his first solo flight in an airplane, he is a third generation pilot. His dad took his first solo flight at 16 and is now a Captain for delta, one of only a FEW BLACK pilots for delta, his grandfather is the one that opened the School because of his fascination with flying. That is just one of many stories – you NEVER see portrayed in the media – why? because the media is no more than a factual entertainment rag that knows if you show too much of the good stuff ratings take a dive – but show all the bad stuff and they soar – Blacks don’t own crime – and little BLACK girls are not the only ones that are NOT reporting abuse – why you went there I don’t understand. Domestic Violence, crime, entertainers who have done wrong – ALL of these are blind because they see NO COLOR.

You don’t know if you are supporting or glorifying a woman beater or meth user as an entertainer. If they haven’t been caught and (gasp at the thought) the women are too afraid to report it.
Exactly what is this music which is in YOUR community as well doing to the Black community? What damage has it done to the young people. Unfortunately, our young BLACK and White, have made poor choices – these are mistakes they CHOSE to make. For example, If they want to wear the disgusting fashion of sagging (which by the way white kids do to) then it is a choice they made. These people are entertainers end of story – may not be your preference – some of it isn’t mine – but they are just that. And name ONE TIME Chris’ actions were given an excuse here today. Only thing people said was let it go and forgive him (which he doesn’t need from me or you). Conveniently, I see that you are spewing woulda’s, shoulda’s, and oughta’s, but not once have you given a valid reason why you feel the black community owns the negative or why you as part of the white community could have such audacity to point the finger into the community. I am not blind to the fact that there is wrong in my community but you are immune to the fact that it is in yours as well.

What is wrong with this world! Are you serious?!? The people that are calling Chris Brown out need to get an attitude check. People make mistakes. No one knows what Brown was doing on the stage except for him and God. I am sorry for the people who do not believe in God. But we all make mistakes. No matter if your famous, regular, black, white, young, old, we all do it. And for the people that believe in Chris I thank you. We need more of you in this world. I’m talking to everyone: If you have never sinned, made a mistake, lied, cheated, or whatever, then you can talk about Chris Brown. Get some sense. I am a teenager and I know better than that. If Brown made a mistake last night, let him make it so he can learn from it. People got the nerve to talk about him like they are perfect. No!!!! Nobody is perfect and you need to realize it. Forgiveness does not mean that u condone something, everyone deserves forgiveness b/c God is required to forgive us if we ask to b forgiven so who r we as human beings to say someone doesnt need to be forgiven, and one more i feel like black people don’t necessarily hold thugs in high regard we are just a heck of a whole lot more willing to forgive than whites, maybe due to the fact that we have had to forgive throughout history for acts way worse than killing dogs r a domestic dispute between two very young adults. We have had to forgive for awful, unspeakable, and unbelievably evil acts committed on our ancestors so we’ve had plenty of practice at forgiving people…its just in our blood and on the contrary,it is acturally very theraputic to forgive because it’s about putting u back in control of the situation and not letting the other person r their actions control u any longer.

I think it was honest emotion. I cried while he was performing. Michael’s words were so profound that anyone who speaks those lyrics should be moved to change. Yes it was self reflective and maybe that’s why Chris cried, but I have noever beaten anyone up and I cried too.
We all have something we need to change. So why not start with the man in the mirror and ask him (or her) to change his ways. The message can’t be any clearer-lets try to make the world a better place! I feel you Chris Brown and it took true humbleness to sing such a spiritual song. Keep on keeping on bro man!
