Elle Duncan debuts today on V-103’s Frank and Wanda show
Elle Duncan joined the Frank and Wanda Morning Show today. Frank Ski also returned from a recent Rome trip with a group of students for his Frank Ski Foundation.
“This is amazing,” Duncan said at 6:05 a.m.. She woke up at 2:30 a.m., nervous about the new gig.
“I had everything laid out,” she said. “Makeup ready. Food ready. Cereal already in the bowl!”
“That’s just today,” Wanda said.
“I’ll get here,” said Duncan. “See if you can hologram me.”
Duncan had been doing mid-days and was moved to mornings to do sports and entertainment. Miss Sophia was let go recently. Duncan, 27, lowers the average age of Atlanta’s No.1 morning show significantly.
She did her first “Bust It” report, an entertainment summary at 6:47 a.m. featuring Joe Jackson blaming his wife for Michael Jackson’s death a year ago. She played a really long clip from Jackson. “Sounds like Joe has been invading that Schlitz Malt liquor,” Duncan said. “Joe Jackson is a desperate man.”
She also played a clip from “Nightline” in which Diddy defended giving his 16-year-old son a $365,000 car. “You can’t question me about what I do with my children,” he told Martin Bashir rather snippily when Bashir questioned his judgment. She also noted that “Karate Kid” was the top film of the weekend.
“I need a cigarette,” she joked afterwards when Ski asked her how her first report went.
During the 7 a.m. hour, Duncan broke down the Lakers-Celtics game. “You can’t win for losing,” she said, when it comes to Kobe Bryant being compared to Michael Jordan. Duncan said he is the entire team: “He has to take the lead because nobody else is doing it.” She also talked about the new Hawks coach Larry Drew, saying he should bring more respect than the previous one. They also touched on the World Cup though it’s clear only Ski is following it among the trio.
At about 7:35 a.m., she also did a review of the Jill Scott/Maxwell concert. “Why did he cut his hair?” she lamented about Maxwell.

I knew something was up when I didn’t her Ms. Sophia’s girl talk for a week. Then I noticed Elle’s absence on the midday show. I thought Elle was gone, but to my suprise she’s doing the morning show. Congrats to Elle and sorry Ms. Sophia. I’ll miss your thrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeee.

I liked her when i heard her this morning,all talkative(in a good way) and very authoritative on sports(esp). She brings a breadth of fresh air and reminds me of when Tera used to be on the show.
The show was lacking some brainy part to spar with Frank.
She will go far in entertainment bizzness and I think her next big move is some tv show,maybe on espn.

I didn’t listen to Elle @ Midday’s and I’m not about to listen to her on the Frank & Wanda morning show. Elle try to fit in to much and she’s annoying. I love the Frank & Wanda morning show I listen every morning, but today was my last day. Mrs. Wanda is my favorite!!! She hilarious and she keeps Frank Ski in line as well. I hate they got rid of Ms. Sophia. If they are thinking about get rid of Wanda and putting Elle is her spot V-103 rating will DROP for the morning show. Apparently, Elle midday’s show wasn’t doing well for them to move her. V-103 please don’t make a crazy decision like that……

Congrats Elle. She seems to fit in just about everywhere they’ve placed her. She’s very flexible. I just hate when she say “Elle” Dunk It, makes me think she’s trying to hard to be hood. There’s definitely not a need for her to do that. Now as for Wanda. I loved her comedy long time ago, I think she’s a sweet person with a great heart but I don’t know where her future is with the morning show. She does not speak as well nor seem to be as intellectual as Elle, so we’ll see. Elle is speaking a lot on the show this morning and Ms. Sophia didn’t have half that time on the radio. Is V-103 testing the water with Elle. The show does need some new life. I personally LOVE when Ryan sits in on the morning show with Wanda as oppose to Frank & Wanda together. And Rashan, her voice is a bit irritating and not so flattering, she needs to go to speech classes, something simple as reading the traffic reports irks me to no end when I hear her. Just my take…..

Yep! I’m telling you, Elle is a better political look for CW69(the real money) This morning Wanda told Elle to put her ta-tas up and stop showing them off(then laughed it off). Plus, Frank NEVER interacted with Ms.Sophia the way he did with Elle. Wanda, stop letting Frank overtalk you and trust me it won’t be long before he starts to exclude Wanda from his conversations. Elle is weak alone, but she is a GREAT sidekick. Wanda try to hold it down alone when Frank is away and maybe the station will take you serious. Okay, I’m setting all biases aside because I know this attractive young lady earned her way to the morning show slot. Her promotion has nothing to do with say, how she looks? I have mixed feelings about what V-103 has done. I really think that Ryan is better in the mornings. I liked him, Wanda, & Sophia when they did it when Frank was on vacation. I like Elle too. I just don’t know how her personality will fit in with Frank & Wanda. I love her and Ryan together too. The 2nd time around with Rashan working with Ryan is not hitting it with me. I don’t even listen anymore. Her voice is annoying. Rashan doesn’t add anything to his show. Ryan was better with Elle/and without Elle before Rashan. I say move “Ryan to mornings.”

I co- sign what you wrote…I can’t STAND listening to that irritating Wanda. IMO, she lacks substance and intelligence to hold her own in a conversation, let alone host a morning show. It would be a better show without her.

Really? This is big news? The last time the V103 morning show even remotely resembled an entertaining and INFORMATIVE radio show was when Mike and Carol were there. Ryan is too old to still be acting so dumb. Greg Street…. C’mon dude… Battle of the songs? Though I know that you have to satisfy all ages, the entire V103 lost its only mature voice when they let Joyce Littel go. Adults make up the majority of those who sit in traffic to and from work everyday. NOT kids. I wish this radio station would grow the EFF up!

Rashan needs to get off her high horse and stop saying things like “I am praying for all of my single friends” as if their lives is horrible because they are not married. How would she feel if all of her single friends started a prayer vigil for her when this Tiger Woods and Jesse James mess hit the news. Elle looks okay. I used to think that I could not get through the day, if I did not get a chance to hear Frank and Wanda in the morning–but not anymore. I have long since held the belief that Ryan Cameron is the best thing that has ever happened to that radio station, and I will not be satisfied until he is back on in the mornings, and I don’t care who he brings with him. He has a brand of humor that surpasses any age range, and that is something that Frank Ski is truly lacking in. Wanda on the other hand, is a totally different cup of tea. Her gig should be completely up. She’s just a lucky, loud-mouth ghetto comedienne that was in the right place at the right time, but that time has come and gone, and she needs to go!

I’m so happy! V103 finally got it right. I hated Sofia on the show! I’m so glad he’s gone. Love you Elle, but please, leave the Ebonics to the funny one and do you. I find it funny that people are saying how old Frank Ski is when he’s only a couple of years older than Ryan Cameron. I think he just isn’t a good fit for the show. Ryan has a younger personality and is just a better radio personality. As for Elle, I think she’s a great side kick but she isn’t good alone. She does try too hard to be “hood” as if that’s necessary. She is no more hood than I am, it’s better to just be yourself. I wish her much success and really hope Ramona Debreaux gets the mid-day slot.

The entire morning crew sucks. Wanda looks like a possum in the face and if she has so much money like someone commented earlier she should spend it on liposuction and a facelift. She can’t even complete a sentence in the proper english language.
Frank is just irritating. I hate the sound of his voice.

Replace Frank Ski with Ryan Cameron. I loved it when Ryan would co-host with Wanda and Miss Sophia. That was a nice mix. Really sucks how they dumped Miss Sophia. Elle is okay. But Frank Ski needs to move on to a more mature radio audience. He’s so out of place with the music V-103 plays. I also didn’t like how it seems he tried to restrict Miss Sophia.

I’ve personally driven Wanda on some limo gigs and when I say she’s beyond ghetto, not to mention the butchering of the English language is an understatement. BTW: “Whatever” is a common response for someone who has nothing Intelligent to say. And to your statement about her vehicles, when I picked her up she had a ‘07 Lincoln truck that retails for about 40stacks…I got that beat, how about you???

I heard Elle today and she was OK. I wouldn’t rate her as great; however, I rather hear her “briefly” than the entire 4 hours she was doing on her midday show. I’m really “not impressed” with her opening song “Bust It Report”. That is so “ghetto”. I personally don’t know what age group they are trying to recruit in the morings as listeners and employees. I’m baffled by the entire group. Wanda is “loud and ghetto”. I’m glad she finally removed that “gold” from her mouth. Who’s idea was that? Frank “knows everything”. It doesn’t matter the subject/topic, he knows all about it. Since he knows everything, what’s the winning lotto #’s? The only thing I liked about the morning show was Mr./Miss. Sophia (for the comedy). I think “ALL DRAG QUEENS” are funny. Just the thought them trying to be like me (a female) is funny within itself. Overall, I stopped listening to V103 a long, long, long time ago. I switched to Tom Joyner in the mornings. One afternoon, I was out with a friend and he turned on Ryan Cameron. I instantly became a fan. He’s fantastic. During his time slot, I turn to listen, otherwise, I don’t care anything about V103.
Anyway, I know my opinion is just that “my opinion”. I’m don’t know exactly why Elle lost her slot. I can only think it was because of ratings. I guess to keep her employed, she had to be moved somewhere. Right now, my jury is still out on if she’s better that Mr./Miss Sophia.

I agree that when Frank vacationed Ryan, Wanda, and Sophia did an excellent job. It crossed over very well when watched on TV. Move Frank to mid days with Elle. Ryan and Wanda in the morning slot. I am more likely to listen to Ryan. He is silly sometimes but everyone needs to laugh. Frank addresses a lot of community and social issues but he is so opinionated. Sometimes this drives me crazy because he is so disconnected and his opinions reflect it.

I do agree with a lot of what has been said. I like Frank and Wanda, there is no denying they have done A LOT for the community and when issues that plague our community occur and the nation occur (i.e. extensive coverage of the Presidential Election, the SCLC drama, the recent murder of Nikki Whitehead (her twins accused of killing her), etc..) Frank does step it up. I do think he will be better suited for WAOK or another channel dedicated to “all talk”.
I remember when Frank drove out to the boonies and provided a single mother and her son with food and groceries live on the air b/c she had a huge rodent in her home. If she had called any other radio station they would have hung up on her and laughed while making commentary out of it. Frank drove to her home, called some friends to exterminate and catch the vicious rat and along with Lorraine Jacques White, provided her with a lot of groceries.
However on the flip side, I think Ryan would be an EXCELLENT morning show host for V103. I did not enjoy Elle on her own show. She needs to stick to being a side quick. I did not like Rashan on HOT 107.9. I think she switches out a lot. On that God awful morning show she was always rapping and being silly with Emperor Searcy and Griff. Then when she was switched to midday, she changed up to be more lady like, then now she tries to be too funny and round the way w/ Ryan. Will the real Rashan please stand up?
My vote is for Ramona or Sytonnia to be on middays.

Not saying I am a big fan of Frank and v103, but Frank does bring some much needed discussions to the station. The conversation can’t always be laughs and giggles (Ryan, Wanda) times do call for serious talk about what’s going on in the community and around the country. I think the move with Elle was an excellent one and I agree, Wanda needs to tone it down, gain some intellect.

Congrats to Elle. I think. After all, this does seem like a demotion, to me. But, truth be told, I never listened to the mid-day show. I’m slowly leaving the 2:00 show. I can’t stand hearing Rashan wait for Ryan’s opinion on something, then agreeing with him. She did it when they were together the first time, and NOTHING HAS CHANGED. Get you own opinion, girl! Listening to them talk is like watching a Not-so-sure-dancer do a routine, but constantly looking at her dance partners, to make sure that she’s doing the right thing…instead of taking the wheel and just driving, ON HER OWN. She needs to put on her big girl panties, and FORM HER OWN OPINION, with or against Ryan!! One thing about Elle, she’s pretty darned CONFIDENT!

First, if you think Elle is intellectual you are pretty dim. Second, Elle was kind of boring on the midday show and could never fill the shoes of her predecessor, the exceptional but troubled Porscha Foxx. Third, if you think Elle is giving Wanda any worries you are sadly mistaken. This is a demotion for Elle any way you slice it. Lastly, I do think Elle has some talent but she’s still a diamond in the rough. Having her own time slot was a little too much too soon. This morning Frank “explained to” all the Atlanta listeners that soccer (World Cup) is like religion in Europe. He overexplained it several times because it seemed he thought, nobody was well-studied in sports and how they are perceived around the world until HE went to Italy last week. That’s his problem… assuming he’s talking to a bunch of empty heads… and he has to convey culture through his experiences. Frank, people live full lives, travel, study and are pretty abreast of the world… you are not the great enlightener. There is a casual, respectful way to tell people you enjoyed your trip and YOU learned some new things. Stop assuming they have not or will not be privy to those experiences.
About Ryan’s sidekick… I think she’ll get fired if she doesn’t OVERLY agree with each sound he makes. It’s sickening. While some of the stuff he says is funny, she always sounds like she is rolling under the soundboard and around the studio laughing. For real?

Frank pretends to be one of us but he isn’t. Franks lives in East Cobb in a upscale community and his kids attend the best schools in Cobb County. I would like to see some fresh blood and new ideas as far as how we can address/solve issues within our community and stop promoting this hood mentality. I’ve never listened to Frank Ski in the morning, and never will. I loved Ryan’s morning show. I’ve followed him for years. Its a shame that someone as talented as him is wasting away doing a mid-day show, while Frank Snooze remains in the slot that should go to Ryan! If they really want/have to keep Frank then move his old, crusty butt to the mid-day slot. The only reason they got Frank was because they couldn’t get Ryan and were looking for some morning show competition. Yawn! (remember those stupid ads on the MARTA buses where they cut off half his face?? Lol!!) Ryan knows how to appeal to the masses. Young, old, black, white, doesn’t matter. I remember listening to him during my morning commute in the late 90’s. He helped navigate the horrendous Atlanta traffic with so much humor. My co-workers and I would laugh because we would comment about times when we hated getting out of our cars, he was so funny (we’d be late to work on occasion too!)! I liked Elle with Ryan. Rashan’s voice is very annoying. I can’t take it. She does not have a good radio voice to me. I had stop listening to Frank, Wanda, and Sophia because I couldn’t stand hearing Wanda and Sophia’s raspy sand paper voices so early cackling away. And I stopped listening to Ryan Cameron when Rashan Ali joined with her gravel throat. However, I did like Sophia as a person and personality. I just wish V-103 would have a good line-up again so I can listen to only them and not change the station to 107.9 when the V-103 personalities come on to speak.

Factoids:
~Frank Ski does over explain things to as if he is the only that has experienced something. I remember one segment when he went on and on about cooking fish on the grill(versus beef, pork or chicken)…OMG. It was very degrading and annoying.

Everyone talks about Ryan in the morning. Have you ever thought that Ryan might not want to work the morning slot. There is a reason he works the Hawks game. Maybe he doesn’t want to give up things that are important to his family. He speaks alot of spending time with his kids. To do am radio and Hawks night time, that doesn’t leave much time for family. Maybe Ryan doesn’t want ot do the work to carry the AM slot. It’s more than just doing radio and going home. Frank has been a great ambassador for V-103. Frank does help promote the station. It is a major step to go from second string to first string. As I remember, Ryan did have his own show at one time. You just don’t lose it for no reason at all.

All Frank is trying to do is enlighten people and their minds. If the show has become stale to you switch stations. But if you would like more than just music silly practical jokes that have gotten tired and that has been done, v-103 is the station for you . Besides Ryan Cameron has already done what Rickey Smilley is doing as a morning personality at that station. I live in Athens and when I USED to listen to V-103 in the mornings, but I will truly miss Ms. Sophia. She did bring a bit of comedy to the station in the morning. Frank gets on my last nerve, I get so tired of him knowing and doing everything. He has done a lot for the community and is well acquainted with the other social issues, but can you just shut up sometimes! Wanda gets on my nerves at times too and I do continue to listen because when there are some issues Frank and Wanda do try to go out into the community and help. Wanda can go a bit over board at times, but I think if she would stop kissing Frank’s behind so much she would be a lot better. Congrats to Elle, I did like the music she played in her time slot, but when she is just not good by herself. She made a better sidekick with Ryan. Bottom line is maybe keep Elle and Frank in the mornings as so many of the comments have said and maybe put Wanda on at 2:00 with Ryan and bring Ms. Sophia back. Maybe we can make this work??

Subject: Urgent Notice,Clayton County, Georgia PUBLC MAJOR ISSUE
by Special Request of Local News Radio Coverage and News Reporting
We as Concern Citizens, Taxpayers and Constituents of Clayton County, Georgia; would like to make a SPECIAL REQUEST for Local News Radio Stations to RAISE AWARENESS and SHED some LIGHT on this Public Issue concerning CORRUPTION at its WORST at the HAROLD R. BANKE JUSTICE CENTER, located at 9151 TARA BOULEVARD, JONESBORO, GEORGIA 30236.
On Friday, June 18, 2010; approximately at 10: 29 a.m., I had simply contacted the Clayton County Solicitor General office of ELECTED OFFICIAL, TASHA M. MOSLEY (D), about my seventeen year old son, case. Unfortunately, during the initial phone call, I was told that the Solicitor General “TASHA M. MOSLEY has “RE-ACCUSED” the LOITERING/PROWLING” charge which means that Solicitor General TASHA M. MOSLEY brought the case back up.
We would like to know why did this Solicitor General CONTRADICT the Judge order? Why did Solicitor General “TASHA M. MOSLEY (D) RE-OPEN this case back up? And what LEGAL RECOURSE did “TASHA M. MOSLEY have? Because Judge RICHARD BROWN completely DISMISSED the “LOITERING/PROWLING CHARGE.
In addition, I would like to ask a FAIR question, why do we have JUDGES? If this Solicitor General OVER-TURNED a JUDGE VERDICT?

I remember when Frank came to v103 I was crazy about the morning show. Frank, you and Wanda have had a good run there on v103 but I know its time for both of you to move on to bigger and better things because it look like the radio station needs to go in a different direction.

There are alright, but I wish there was another intelligent male voice on the morning show. Frank is alright, but an additionalintelligent male would be better.

I have love for all, Sophia, Frank and Wanda but have to admit stopped listening a couple of years ago… Finally, It’d become something I was no longer proud of.
Let me say in Frank’s defense that his viewpoints are the main reason I continued to listen for so long. He has, I’d imagine, made a sacrafice to his intellect over the years. Noone, in my opinion, from your group of personalities can replace him…
As far as him speaking to the listening audience like we’re “children” (I was reading on someone elses post), I think you’ve misunderstood the slow steadiness of “the bull” and if I were able to afford it, my children would be in the best schools as well…
Elle does seem to have the intellect and quick wit to provide metro Atl. with what it needs during the AM, but I believe that the show would do well in providing tastefully – represented diversity to a city that thrives as such…

My wife and I had a similar conversation about this topic. Rashan and Ryan is too much for one time slot…someone needs to tone it down and few notches…I’d prefer if the tone down came from Rashan…she needs to counter the silly Ryan with the intellectual Rashan. Just my two cents…

And Rashan, her voice is a bit irritating and not so flattering, she needs to go to speech classes, something simple as reading the traffic reports irks me to no end when I hear her. Just my take…..”

Okay so for starters i really miss Sophia!I love Wanda aswell as Frank to death they are great my opinion on elle is she’s VERY VERY LOUDDDDDDDDD and that really gets on my nerves tone it down honey everyone see’s you an stop trying sooooooo freaking hard to fit in with the crowd you’re so not a good match sorry find yourself hun:)And as far as Wanda needing to watch out no don’t think elle could touch her with a 2 foot pole!The bust it report is a total waste they could have left that slot EMPTY bc elle is a true pain in my AZZZZZZZZ!!!!
